This is not heading towards replacing consoles. This is providing people another way to play the games they want to play. Cloud gaming will never replace console gaming, but it can supplement it.
I had a nice spot on my media center for my PS3. When I upgraded to the Ps4, I removed the PS3 and put the PS4 in that spot. When I upgraded to the PS5, the PS5 would not fit and I basically had to do some minor renovations to accommodate its size.
I'll take a boring looking box over one that that's thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis big. PS5 nor Series X fit on a standard size shelf, nor a standard sized media cabinet. Also, series X is not only huge, but also boring.
"Most people dont read bro.."
Facts.
According to Sony, their registered head location is: 1-7-1 Konan Minato-ku, Tokyo, 108-0075 Japan
I was really starting to wonder when did Sony stop being Japanese. Nope, they're still Japanese.

^ From Sony.
It does seem like they're getting a lot of chances. And that's because to them it's basically an arcade. As long as they have the quarters they can try as much as they want.
The game hasn't lost anything. It's in early access. Which means that players will come and go. Besides that, it has a defined start and end. It's not a live service game. It's not meant to be played forever. It has a fully functional single player game (with optional co-op) that can be added to your collection.
Right. What are these people smoking? It's needs all the buttons / sticks that exist on the PS5 controller.
I don't think Microsoft cares anymore about Xbox as a console. Realistically, we could be in a 2 console market next gen, with PC also becoming more popular possibly eclipsing consoles altogether.
No point in showing stuff that's 12+ months out. Wait until it's closer to release.
This makes sense. Xbox is going to be like Netflix. And Playstation, Nintendo, and PC are the movie theatres. Day one experiences only at the theatre and if you want to watch it on your subscription service, got to wait 6 months to a year or more.
The facts are in the article. It's possible that Capcom would've put in the time to get the engine working on Xbox one if there were a financial incentive to do so. Without a game pass deal, it is highly unlikely to earn back the cost of updating their engine for xbox one.
Legend of Link: A Zelda to the past.
I've grown to believe that we shouldn't avoid players based on their input method. Just let proper skill based matchmaking filter them out. If they are too good, then they'll just end up playing with other people that are too good.
They're definitely not moving to next gen early. They may release a next gen console early, but it'll probably be another 3 years after release before they launch any exclusives. It'll effectively be a pro model until that point.
False. All of these games would have been coming to playstation anyway. As for xbox, who knows? Depends on what deals Sony would have made.
Most of my gamer friends play on Switches and PCs. Some on Steam deck as well. A fair few also have PS5s. Only one has an Xbox.
Don't know what you mean by "normal" friends. Do you mean non-gamers or casuals that only play CoD?
If the PSP's 80 million isn't a success, then what is the 3DS' 75 million?
I agree. Every lego game feels exactly the same. And some of the "puzzles" are incredibly obtuse. Hard pass. I'll take the real deal over lego. That said, my kids are into the lego games, so they'll probably have me play with them until I start drifting off to sleep.
^ What? People get consoles just for games all the time. That's the whole point of getting a console.
If your argument is that people that can stream games would never buy a console for the same games, I would argue that depends on the streaming quality. Streaming quality / responsiveness doesn't touch physical hardware running natively. As long as that remains true, there will always be a reason for a console.
