I actually think it would do a lot better if it came to Steam.
Freedom to infringe? Freedom of speech does not allow freedom to plan illegal activities.
Rebirth just has a ton of competition compared to remake. I bought rebirth at launch. I probably should've waited because SRPGs are my favorite genre and I had to jump into Unicorn overlord. I tried to wait but it just looked too appealing. Caved and bought it last week and already put more time into it than I did rebirth. I'll 100% get back to rebirth after finishing unicorn overlord. I also know plenty of people planning to pick up rebirth after they get through Dragons Dogma 2.
They 100% could've made cutting edge graphics and have that be the only change.
Your grandchildren won't care. They'll be too busy asking you to buy them robux.
To be fair, I did this all the time in the 360 days. Used to install a bunch of games on the 360 memory card and take it to a buddy's house to play. It's just not something that I do anymore, especially since most games aren't even split screen anymore.
Socom's community lasted for years without any updates. If they make a solid game, it can do the same.
Games don't need to be supported long term to be successful. Just make a good game. Socom never had any updates because it was fantastic straight from the disc.
^ Cool. Good to know that software sales are likely rising.
Doing well is not good enough for capitalism. It has to grow. PS4 has not grown compared to the PS2, and the PS5 likely won't either. Xbox doing poorly has nothing to do with capitalism, but the problems with the industry at large do have to do with capitalism.
Playstation's marketshare tanked after the PS2. From 160 million to ~85 million. The marketshare they lost went to the Xbox 360. They've been slowly regaining that marketshare ever since.
Rediculous.
He probably just rounded 155 to 160 million.
U.S. stats:
Median annual wage in 2002: $27,690
Median annual wage in 2022: $46,310
Average annual wage in 2002: $31,898.70
Average annual wage in 2022: $61,220.07
Sorry, whose wages haven't gone up? That's between a 50% and 100% increase.
Nah. The modern age is great. There are so many choices out there, I can skip every Blizzard title and still have plenty of quality options out there. More than I can play in my lifetime.
75% of xbox owners have a digital only console, so they won't be buying physical discs.
Ok no split screen co-op, but can you fight each other splitscreen?
I'm not familiar with what amiibos did for BOTW, but skyward sword got roasted for locking fast travel behind amiibo.
Personally, I'd say mtx are okay for any game which is constantly being updated with additional content post launch (and only if that content isn't also sold as DLC)
Generally speaking, single player games aren't (and should not be) constantly updated with new content and so they should not have MTX.
The MTX in Dragon's Dogma 2 only give you access to what the digital deluxe version gets you. You cannot buy them more than once.
It's funny. PS5 gets the best versions of xbox games. Both Sea of thieves and Grounded were underwhelming when they first launched, and now they're pretty good games.
