Unfortunately, children do not pick their parents and many parents lack the capability to be a good parent either due to lack of time, lack of money, lack of knowledge, or maybe even lack of internet.
Lots of parents don't have the time, knowledge, or energy to setup and enforce restrictions.
30% gains imply that you're upgrading a ps5, or choosing a pro over the base ps5 in which case you're looking at 30% gains for $300.
If you have digital, it's a $300 upgrade. If you have the disc console, it's a $300 upgrade if you still want to play discs.
It will sell like hotcakes on everything. And it'll be some years before it arrives on PC.
Let's not forget that GTA V was on the PS3. I'm sure Rockstar can get this working on the S no problem. Texture quality will probably be reduced along with draw distance. It 100% will not look as good as the X/PS5.
Price to value matters.
It doesn't matter if a company engages in "monopolistic practices". Steam meets the definition of a monopoly in the PC space and we are all lucky that they do not exploit their position in the market, but they are still a monopoly. I wouldn't say Sony is a monopoly yet, but they are getting close. Xbox won't be around for much longer and then they will effectively be a monopoly. Whether or not they exploit their monopoly only time will tell.
Strange take. An "earned" monopoly is still a monopoly. But that said, I don't see what this article has to do with Sony being a monopoly. Laying off people does not move a company closer to being a monopoly.
Waste of money. Even if Playstation jumps in price, they could probably have invested all of it and just used the interest to pay for PSN.
I doubt Xbox will survive next gen. Any games not launched into game pass will not sell on Xbox. Ultimately, the only 3rd party games Xbox will get are those that are launched into game pass. If you're okay with that, then great. Expect the next Xbox to sell fewer than 30 million next gen with nearly all of them being game pass subscribers that don't buy games.
I have no doubts that it sold far better on Playstation than on Xbox. But selling 100k on PS and 10k on Xbox is not great numbers.
Use mine. J/k. I hope to add Astro soon to my list of platinums.
Why would anyone pay above retail? Isn't the game still available in stores at MSRP?
Xbox gamers spend money on very few types of games. Sparking Zero, Undisputed, and that college football game were big sellers. RPG games just won't be.
I wouldn't say it has poor sales on PS (though is definitely poor on Xbox) but all indicators are pointing to PC being it's strongest market. It's apparently #19 for best selling games on PSN. And #64 for Amazon is definitely not great.
^ 91% of xbox games are sold digitally.
Does that 2x include 2tb of storage that matches or exceeds ps5 pro storage speeds?
I'm digital mostly for the same reason. I've never lost access to a digital game, but have had plenty of physical games get misplaced or damaged or unplayable due to a failed disc drive on the hardware. I still buy physical for games where the price is right, but mostly I just wait for a sale for digital.
^ 1st problem is giving the kid an iPhone. Let them have a dumb phone for awhile.
