COD Elite is simply a "Season Pass". They didn't invent it and certainly aren't the only guilty party. You can get all the stat tracking, clan based options for free. The only part of "Elite" that is really worth anything is the DLC, which you get a break in price if you normally would be buying all the maps anyway.
EA already does something similar with their sports games, plus they have online passes, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least t...
What a terrible score. Why do these people continue to review on such a weird scale? It's not like this should be reviewed in the same ilk as Gears Of War or Uncharted. It's a ported arcade game from the early 90's that a lot of people have been asking for.
It's a shame what passes for music now days. This is awful....
Hax?
So Sony is changing the name to better appeal to casual gamer's. It's a step in the right direction, they are seeing the success Microsoft and Nintendo are having as more then a gaming machine.
Welcome to the party, cant wait for the first article about how Sony is abandoning their core group of gamer's in favor of the casual dollar.
Let's see people spin this. Now we've seen reports about Sony losing billions of dollars, the Vita is struggling and the PS3 just got outsold by a almost 7 year old Xbox 360.
Things definitely don't look good in Sony Land right now.
1.Make more affordable hardware
2.Charge for PSN, but upgrade it, both looks and features
3.Make your hardware easier to work on, if your putting out inferior 3rd party games, you'll lose your mar...
Nope.
Stick them next to all those old ET games, or those Lair and Haze games that bombed.
Well there goes any chance Sony had at catching Microsoft this generation. From first to last in one short generation, I hope they learned their lessons and apply it towards the next generation.
The PS3 got a price cut and is actually $50 cheaper then the 250 gig XBox 360, so it's not about price at this point.
Also, I'd like to point out that it's pretty obvious America=world. If you win North America, you are sitting pretty.
I w...
wtfhax!
ughhh..more survival horror with generic zombie/mutant/infected people......
Looks like Uncharted with Zombies......and since Uncharted has zombies for some reason...this seems unnecessary.
$99-$150 would be the price point at which I'd buy one of these. Certainly not the $499 they launched at and even at $299 it's a bit too steep.
$199 and we'll talk, but I'd buy one for sure at the $99-$150 range.
Nintendo isn't playing catch up, they are going at their own pace. When they released a motion control based console people thought Nintendo was off their rocker, now that it's sold like 100 million units people will look for other reasons to bash them.
Nintendo right now owns the console and handheld markets respectively.
People have been complaining they want to play Nintendo games in HD, so we get the Wii U and now people are finding a reason to co...
He mentioned in a recent interview on an XBL show that he was looking for a publisher and asked if they knew know. I think he and Microsoft have a great relationship, would be epic to get the next installment on the 360 as an exclusive.
Ya, this is looking pretty epic. Microsoft might not get a ton of exclusives, but the ones they are getting are top quality. Their arcade service is head and shoulders top quality.
I know this is "Sony Land" but the facts are the facts. The Vita sold less then the 3DS did at launch and people said that launch was a disaster.
It's a terrible economy, a handheld gaming system just isn't going to be on the average persons list, especially if your lacking the Nintendo recognition. I mean everyone knows Mario, Zelda ect...
I just think $250 for a handheld, plus tax, which would make it $268 here in Florida, plus a game and...
Mass Effect is a great series, but they should definitely take a break from it for a while after Mass Effect 3 releases.
Keep the people wanting more, I know people still want a true ending to KOTOR, not the rushed one in KOTOR 2, which was made by a totally different company.
Jade Empire 2 would be great, or a new ip or even a decent Dragon Age sequel.
You get what you pay for, I like the look and feel of the premium service that is Xbox Live. I also like the fact that people cant go around creating new accounts whenever they want.
I know a lot of people who use certain PSN accounts to strictly cause trouble or learn maps on certain games, so they can get better and then play under a main account to get a better K/D/R.
Microsoft is making hundreds of millions off their online and I don't think it's ...
OMG Hax?
Microsoft paid attention to what the competition was doing right last generation. They saw Sony dominate the market with an affordable console with great 3rd party support. So they took that and ran with it. A less expensive console with great 3rd party support and then they added to the success of their own online plan.
Even though Sony had so many more consoles sold, the original Xbox had far more online enabled games and online users. Then when this generation started and ...
