Really wish they would up the arcade titles as far as Achievements are concerned. 200 points isn't that great and the way they are hyping this as a full game...it's just a bit disappointing.
It's my opinion that they should be trying to beat Mass Effect 1, since that is the superior game as far as RPG games go. I did like some of the things in ME2, but I'm hoping it brings back some of the elements that made me buy ME1 day one on my Xbox 360 back in 2007.
Good to see MW3 get some recognition. I tend to think it's at around 25 million right now and will probably continue to be in the top 20 in sales each month up until Black Ops 2 comes out in November.
Sledgehammer did a heck of a job in a short amount of time, those complaining that it's the same game either haven't played it or don't know anything about games. It does play like a MW game, which it's supposed to do.
Other then that it'...
Those are some huge losses, the price cut actually hurt them more then anything else. I'm sure Sony cant wait to get this generation over with.
Hopefully they learned their lesson that expensive tech doesn't win you the console wars, it's always about value, functionality (Online more then ever) and affordability.
All I want is an upgrade in hardware, keep XBL tight and streamlined and amazing like it already is. Also make it fully backwards compatible, put an end to HD remakes and the like.
Keep your Achievements from the 360 and have the ability to add to it with 720 games.
Continue to have quality first party support and stellar, if not superior third party support.
Valve is the most overrated developer I've ever seen. People love Half Life, but I find it to be the most boring game I've ever attempted to play.
They use the same, tired engine on all of their games and yet people complain about Activision and COD....
I'll pass on anything Valve has to offer.
That's a slappin!
XBL is much more then cross game chat, it's really a very long list of better and more streamlined features.
Kinect is a huge part of the reason that I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 3 on the Xbox 360, that and the fact that I've played all the games on the Xbox 360 and can import my perfect files
To me, Mass Effect is best played when you've actually played through all the games and can import you choices and know the characters.
What would you expect them to say? "were going to drop support if this thing flops"?
Of course they are going to put their best face forward with this huge investment.
Maybe one day Sony will learn to use less costly materials and earn a profit off their hardware. All these losses are going to add up eventually.
I don't know if they should drop it altogether, but they definitely need to change things up next generation, so people will forget about the fiasco of the PS3 launch.
They need to do some work and go back to what made the PS1 and PS2 so great and then upgrade their online system so it doesn't feel like such a hassle to use.
Just get the Xbox 360 version, that's had no issues whatsoever.
What exactly do you consider "considerably more"? because there aren't any official numbers released and the only numbers that are available are VGChartz, which actually puts the Xbox 360 numbers ahead in NA. Also puts it's pretty close in overall sales.
This is a solid move and part of the reason people pay for XBL, timed demo's ect...
Doesn't PSN+ use timed exclusive demo's as a marketing ploy? Cant really complain about it whe...
Any game can become boring if you play it enough, the reason people think COD is boring is because they play it far too long. Most people put days and weeks and sometimes months into the games.
Every genre has it's repetitive natures, Gears Of War plays like Gears Of War, God Of War plays like God Of War. Their is a reason people play and like these games, if you changed up what was familiar about them people wouldn't like it.
20+ million each year b...
Everyone is acting like her being in the game is a big deal. It's not at all.... Mass Effect as a series has been stellar and one of the best RPG's around, it'll continue to get great reviews, but that's just because the games are so amazing.
There is no conspiracy here.
Do they not count Halo CE Anniversary as a remastered game? Or is it something else because they used a whole new engine to fit over the old one? Not sure, but I know Halo CEA has sold well over 1 million copies.
It's really hard to compare really. I think the addition of great online play that the original Xbox introduced helped to make last generation pretty great as well. Still for me though it was when I saw the Sega Dreamcast running Sonic Adventure at a Best Buy in 1999 that I was really impressed with a leap in technology.
Then again, when I went to the Sega Genesis I was blown away and that had some of my all time favorite games...hard to compare honestly...
Sweet!
They should apologize. How do you make a game in this day and age and have such horrible frame rate issues? Maybe if they make a sequel they can make it a bit tougher as well. I found the last game terribly easy. The low frame rate makes certain parts like bullet time in other games.
I like the relationship Microsoft has with DF. Maybe a new Psychonauts game. In a interview recently with Microsoft Tim Schafer said he'd love to do a new one but needs a publisher and hinted at Microsoft being that publisher.
JRPG's just aren't fun for me, I know a lot of PS3 gamer's tend to love them, but I personally don't have much fun with them. I did like Lost Odyssey, but I'll always prefer the RPG's from Bioware.
