Well it's obvious they will be disk based just like this generation. I'm sure they will still offer digital options just like this generation as well.
The fact that not everyone connects their consoles online and that not everyone has internet speeds capable of downloading games are huge factors. The companies wouldn't want to exclude anyone.
I think if anything was learned from the PSPGO it's that people like physical gaming media, despite th...
Or we could use our brains and realize that they are slowing down exclusives because they are focusing on the next generation, while still keeping the Xbox 360 in production and shifting that more towards casuals.
Microsoft opened 4 new studios last year alone, bought Twisted Pixel and now we see hiring at Lionhead and Rare. To top it off Crytek said Ryse is now going to be on the next Xbox and the rumors of Epic Games working on something for the next Xbox as well.
Lionhead and Rare are hiring, Microsoft also opened 4 new studios last year alone. Definitely going to hear something on the 720 and some games this year.
Sony got cocky, I admit I loved the PS1 and PS2, but I think the biggest reason for that love was affordability and solid 3rd party support.
Now the PS3 comes along and people need to take out a second mortgage to buy one at launch, then they have all the issues with 3rd party games not being up to par. Which was kind of the opposite last gen, when the original Xbox had the superior power, most the games were made on PS2 kits and ported to the Xbox, which meant all the 3rd p...
I'm loving Skyrim on my Xbox 360, feel bad for anyone who cant play the obvious GOTY.
Amazing game, hope they fix it up for yall soon.
Wasn't one of their goals to take a chunk of the Call Of Duty pie? or at least get the better scores? It didn't slow COD down at all. In fact COD grew yet again and got better reviews and actually had less launch problems then BF3.
They must be using President Obama's goal achievement system.
Typical Dice and their issues with their games...maybe they should consider selling a finished product for a change, instead they just shovel the same thing over and over at us.
I kind of doubt it. Who would play a COD on a handheld over a console version?
I think people are forgetting what these handheld's are supposed to be about. Playing something here or there while on the run, quick little fun games that you can pick up and put down and then pick up again.....
Wow! that looks really impressive. I wonder if it's going to be a 720 launch title? It's hard to tell from the cam footage, but the graphics look sick!
Microsoft people could have their own zombie exclusive to look forward to.
This is shaping up to be an interesting year indeed.
I hate how overused the term "hacking" has become. When people violated PSN, that was a form of hacking, attacking the network looking for weak points.
What has happened with XBL is individual "Phishing". Which can be a problem for everything. I remember when I used to play Runescape I'd get emails asking for me to log in to verify my account ect...
You just have to be smarter then what your working with. Getting Phished is not Micros...
I can see Microsoft announcing something for the end of this year, they cut back exclusives, opened 4 studios, bought Twisted Pixel, hiring at Rare and Lionhead and Crytek said Ryse is now a next gen game.
I just don't see Sony releasing a PS4 this year. They are releasing a new handheld in NA and are still trying to push PS3's and Moves and 3-D. I just think a new home console would be too much on their plate.
I am not sure we'll get a 720 this y...
Nobody knows this for sure. If third party games start selling well, why wouldn't they support it? I can definitely see Assassins Creed, Batman and a host of other games going to the Wii U, especially Call Of Duty, which already is on the Wii.
Wii U is going to be fine, as long as it has better 3rd party support then the current Wii and as long as Nintendo still keeps up with first rate first party games, it will be a heavy hitter.
Riiiiiiiidge Raaaaaacer!
It's been obvious for me and anyone with a brain that Microsoft is going to announce a new console this year.
1.Microsoft scaled back exclusives (To focus on next gen)
2.Microsoft opened 4 new studios and bought Twisted Pixel
3.Rare and Lionhead are both massively hiring
4.Crytek said Ryse is now a next Xbox game
All this cry baby nonsense about Microsoft forgetting about the "core" is moot, since they will announce a new...
Bu bu bu bu but the Wii doesn't have any good games!
Well I usually don't make excuses for Sony games, but what do you expect? the third game in a series, especially one that was rushed on a 2 year cycle is going to recycle some things.
The Xbox 360 is trying to extend it's appeal so it can sell even when the Xbox 720 comes out next year.
Sony will do the same thing with the PS3 at some point, it'll be cheaper with more functions then gaming and have some more casual/family friendly games.
"If Halo 4 isn't like Halo 2 it will be the end Halo."
What a crock of crap, it's a planned new trilogy.
A wall of greatness and amazing sales!
People confuse this often, the original Xbox was actually supposed to be supported for a few years after the 360 came out, but the company that made the chipset for the console stopped producing them.
Thus the 360 was a bit rushed and we got the RROD issues early on.
The Xbox wont die, it just is being pushed towards casual people. Which is why it's getting apps and things like that. Microsoft is obviously going to announce a successor soon, but they have al...
