Awesome! Every year COD games seem to get me excited, sure I've been one of the "I wont buy another COD" people in the past, but every year I still anticipate the game and have weeks and months of fun with the games.
Good on you COD, plus I love seeing EA have some humble pie.
Who cares? plenty of good games get low scores from one place or another. I'm sure if your a fan of the series a 1/10 isn't going to mean you'll personally have less fun with the game.
I seriously think people just want perfect scores across the board strictly for bragging rights...
I think 10+ million copies in the first week. I think the day one sales will once again break records. 24+ million lifetime sales for sure.
Let's face it, it's Call Of Freaking Duty, everyone and their mother will be buying it and playing it.
MW3!
I was caught in quite a few glitches in the other two Uncharted games, one bad one where I was caught in the middle of some cogs turning and I had no way to kill myself and no enemies around to kill me, I didn't save so I ended up losing around 45 minutes and had to do that part over again.
Sadly, when your on a tight release schedule, especially a 2 year release schedule, these types of things tend to come up from time to time.
I don't think so. Mainly because people that like games like COD don't like slower games like Rainbow. I couldn't really get next to the way Vegas or Vegas 2 played, but I liked the campaigns well enough I guess.
Must have been a pretty slow decade.
People are overreacting a bit, they never said there wouldn't be more Alan Wake in the future, or a straight sequel. I look at this as most likely some sort of tie in with a true sequel. Sort of like Case Zero with Dead Rising 2.
Anything Wake related is okay in my book.
Well we'll have to agree to disagree then. I think Alan Wake actually brought story telling back to survival horror. I mean how is Alan Wake repetitive and other games not?
Resident Evil is a prime example, same thing over and over and people love it.
Alan Wake is an interesting IP and it is new and definitely refreshing. This is the perfect idea to possibly bridge the gap for the 2nd full on retail release of Alan Wake 2.
Sort of like the way C...
Disappointment? you must be crazy, Alan Wake was the best game I played in 2010 and that was a year with Halo Reach and other great titles released.
Anything Alan Wake related will be fantastic. Very excited to hear more on this.
Ya, because PS3 owners hate fps games right? It's not like Black Ops is by far the best selling PS3 game of all time or anything.
Xbox 360 owners have had plenty of quality games to buy as well, Dark Souls, Gears 3, Batman Arkham City, Forza 4 and Saints Row 3 as well.
I think this article is flame bait, but at least stop making so many excuses.
This is probably that Night Springs XBL deal. I'm sure we are in for more Alan Wake in the way of a sequel as well though. Microsoft paid quite a bit of money locking up 3 games from Remedy and I expect they will want their monies worth.
Alan Wake is now well over 1 million units sold, which is a success. Also it has garnered all kinds of awards, even GOTY from Time Magazine. I believe a full, new retail release of Alan Wake 2 could sell between 2-5 million copies easily...
This is why I said Dice/EA were crazy for marketing BF3 as a PC title, consoles is where it's at for the majority. Sony has to be a little mad, they paid extra for extra content and even got pack in deals and still couldn't compete with the Xbox 360 version in terms of sales.
Microsoft did little to no advertising on this game as well, and EA/Dice showed very little Xbox 360 footage, so the huge numbers on the 360 surprised even me.
I know a ton of people who wanted to try BF3, don't like it and will stop playing when MW3 comes out. EA did a good job hyping the game, but overall it's gotten a lower Metacritic score then the last Bad Company game.
I didn't bite on BF3 as I have kind of learned what to expect from hyped up EA games, so it'll be MW3 for me, but it's not like COD is the only online game I play, so there will be plenty of Gears 3, Forza 4, Madden 12, Left 4 Dead 2 and othe...
I think 7.5 for the campaign is generous.
I doubt you see ND work on another Uncharted game. Go out on top and move on to another, new IP. ND has grown a lot over the years, starting off with the kiddie Crash Bandicoot and then going to the more teenaged Jak & Daxter and now finally with the more adult Uncharted games.
3 Uncharted console games and 1 Uncharted handheld game in 4 or 5 years is plenty, you don't want to get stale with it the way so many other games do.
Ya, long term. Until next year when we see the yearly released Battlefield games and they shut down the servers to this one.
The game might be "this good" in your opinion, just because it get's an 8 out of 10, which is still considered very good, doesn't mean it's a bad review or someone looking for hits or attention.
Since all reviews are strictly opinion based, this one is right for the reviewer.
Black Ops is the best selling PS3 game and has the most active players on PSN. So it's not just Xbox players playing COD. There is already over a million pre-orders for MW3 on PS3 in the US alone.
First of all, Night Springs isn't the sequel to Alan Wake, it's a spinoff set in the same world. We will still see a full fledged sequel. This is just giving people something in the meantime.
It's like Case Zero for Dead Rising two. We are definitely going to see more Alan Wake, since this isn't a direct sequel.
Also, Alan Wake has sold over a million copies, scored an 84 on Metacritic and has won plenty of awards. So it's a success. Often...
