I really have to disagree, I mean I'm not a graphics whore but I cant go back and play COD4 because it looks so out of date. So the new COD games look nothing like COD4.
I'm excited for the new game, I'm hopeful they have learned their lessons from MW2 and I mostly care about them getting the gameplay right.
I think Sony needs to charge for their online services. I think it's going to get quite expensive to hire all of these people and implement new systems to keep hackers out.
Sony doesn't make money off their online, so it's got to be operating at a huge loss. I suspect next generation we'll see them do the mandatory pay to play online. I don't think it will be $60 a year like MS, but I think it will cost something, these guys need to be able to pay people ...
Are you serious? This is a pro Microsoft story. They just scooped up a very talented developer. I mean the best racing game just came out yesterday and yet the front page had stories about some GT update.
This is N4G man.
I signed up. I always get into these things. I was even in the new disk format beta and got my Halo Reach copy. Which was later replaced with a download code for the game. Hope I get in on this one as well.
Mine already rules my living room. I use it for gaming, movies via Zune, Netflix and Hulu Plus, I use it for music with Last.fm, I use it to update my Facebook and twitter as well.
So that ship has sailed...lol
I'm an American and I agree with you, they should have done a worldwide release. It would mean more people to race with online as well. Your going to love the game though, hope you got the Collectors Edition, as it's well worth it.
I was just saying that Microsoft should buy Twisted Pixel after I bought and played The GunStringer. That game is simply fantastic and as "core" as it gets. They managed to do something on Kinect that hasn't been done very well as of yet.
Also, who doesn't love Splosion Man? Twisted Pixel has quietly become a top developer. I said recently that a lot of the creativity in the industry lay with the XBLA people. It was obviously a relationship that works out we...
Gunstringer was only $40 and came with Fruit Ninja Kinect added in. It also came with free DLC. Well worth that price.
I can definitely see Twisted Pixel doing full release games though, they are very talented.
I personally don't care about GOTY. I think it's more a hype thing then anything else. Also, there are so many different places that hand out GOTY that it's lost meaning for a lot of other people as well.
That being said, I just want Batman AC to be a solid game, which it's looking like it will be. So I'm stoked!
I wasn't using it anyway, since the Gnasher was just about the same thing point blank.
In what way has Kinect been a failure? Sales? popularity? I'm not sure I follow what you are getting at.
Kinect has been out for less then a year and has some quality titles, Rise Of Nightmares, Gunstringer, Kinect Sports, Dance Central and Child Of Eden are my favorites, so there is a pretty wide array of genres to be had with it.
Also, I'm definitely not a mom or spoiled kid and I consider myself a "gamer", I don't really believe in &...
well deserved. I love a lot of what Kinect does, I also dig a lot of those hacks and things like that.
Kind of short, but I'm sure it'll be solid.
This is the third entry in the series, so I don't think it needs it right now. Had the game offered this option to start with then the series would have probably sold better though.
The reason I say that is because I know a lot of people that will only buy games that a campaign/multiplayer option. So I think in the future, pretty much every game will offer some sort of multiplayer aspect. I love the series either way though.
Feel the love and on this site I can definitely feel some anger and jealousy....which as we all know can lead to the dark side...
I'm unboxing my Limited Edition right now!
I still have the original games and a backwards compatible PS3, so I get to save some money on this. Good for those who don't have the option though.
These new consoles have probably been in the works since the release of the current consoles. It's how the industry works. Move, Kinect and 3-D implementation were all just industry stopgaps because of the lackluster economy.
We still probably wont hear or see anything on these consoles for a year or two. I think Nintendo actually jumped the gun when they announced the Wii U. We haven't even really seen the console and it slowed down sales on the Wii. So if Microsoft...
I think it was getting out of hand, but only here. I don't know anyone who dislikes COD on my friends lists or real life.
I also think the hate has died down now that the Battlefield 3 beta came out and kind of stunk up the place.
You cant count out the fact that it's looking more and more like we'll be seeing Battlefield games every year as well, Battlefield 3, then Bad Company 3 ect.....
I actually always disliked EA more then Activisio...
Looks good, I'm very excited about this game. I wasn't a huge MW2 fan, but I'm hoping they learned their lessons. I'm more of a team player and take bases and cap flags, so it's good to know I'll get rewarded for doing those things.
Not sure why everyone feels the need to come into COD threads and complain, if it's not your game then don't buy it. I suspect people just complain here because that's what the majority here do. I still think mo...
