Because if you buy the upgrade, and then unsubscribe PS Plus... it would lock you out from something you paid for because you don't own the base game now, people would complain.
Isn't Halo Infinite a full priced game? So, no the fans are not getting anything free, Microsoft just yanked the MP out so they can charge for everything and people can't complain.

I would have been perfecting fine if SNES is NES 2, N64 as NES 3... etc, then the next one Nintendo console is just NES 8... so you can focus on building the brand on one name, instead of educating people a new name every gen.
I read the original post, but can't disagree more, keeping your fans excited is part of a game development, it doesn't matters how good your game is if no one even want or heard of it.
And you can always just post some screenshots or text based updates, which shouldn't take much time at all.

The switch is extremely uncomfortable to hold. I have the skull & co grip, huge difference.

It is an awesome game, but it is LONG... if the upgrade is not significant then it would be hard to motivate myself to go for around run.

I am the opposite, when there are new games, I usually want to play them first (if they are good of course), I am not very motivated to play retro games. Maybe I am getting old, just don't feel like I have enough time to replay games that I have finished before.
Recently finished Kena Bridge of Spirit, Metroid Dread... was hoping to playing Dying Light 2 next but that is delayed... so just in the process of picking what to play next, maybe I should wrap up RDR2. Actuall...
Finished 100%, loved every minute of it, boss fights are so satisfying, just wish it would be a bit longer. I was a little slow (took too many tries on bosses), but still finished everything in 11 hours.
In what world that system is pretty awesome?
So anyone can play this half asleep and earns more XP than a guy that play really well but not enough time to finish 6 matches...
