Err No! The performance of SATA3 is up to 6Gb/sec or 600MB/sec. SATA2 is 3Gb/sec or 300MB/sec. SSD's can on average can sustain reads at an average speed of approximately 500MB/sec depending on brand while 5400rpm 2.5" HDD's have on average sustained reads of 80MB/sec to 100MB/sec depending on brand. 7200rpm disks are about 20% better in performance.

I could not agree more.

The average consumer or casual gamer has no idea what the buzz words SATA, SSD and HDD actually mean and if they did they probably don't care.

Why?

Ok a little tech here:
1) SATA 2 has a rated throughput up to 300MB/sec (ie. PS4 and XB1).
2) SATA 3 has a rated throughput up to 600MB/sec (ie. PS4pro)
3) A 5400rpm hard disk drive can have a read speed from 80MB/sec to about 100MB/sec whereas a 7200 rpm drive will have approximately 20% better performance.
4) A solid state disk can achieve read speeds of approximately 500MB/sec
Basically having a faster bus speed (ie. SATA...

All the reviews I have read and seen on Titanfall 2 have been very positive. Unfortunately, like you have pointed out Battlefield 1 and COD - Infinite Warfare can out around the same time which has effectively unfairly doomed this game to relative obscurity.

Going forward any game you buy for the PS4pro will play on the PS4. Sure the PS4pro can produce better visuals up to 4K and more stable frame rates but there won't be any games made specifically for the PS4pro.

Any developer would be arrogant or just have no business sense to develop a game that can only be played on the PS4pro and since the architectures are very similar it would be fairly easy to develop compatible games. PC developers have been doing this for years. ...

I am aware that the NPD Group made statements about how the XB1s is doing well in North Americal and a few other countries but does not provide actual figures which to anyone who is familiar with statistical analysis is pretty well useless information.

Basically, if you are in the information collection and analysis business it is very unprofessional to make statements without providing appropriate figures and sources that can be checked by your peers.

I ...

The main game is about 10 to 15 hours long although you may find it rather difficult if you don't do any of the challenges.which can add many additional hours to the game. There are also three DLC (free with the game) which are worth doing to expand your powers.

Finding the "travelers" (16 times) is interesting (see the wiki) but a good hint is that they always appear in twos in each area but finding them can be difficult.

The game runs at 1...

Maybe you have comprehension issues, it seems pretty clear to me.

With a PS+ subscription (PS3, PS4 and Vita):
1) You can play online games (essential)
2) Two or more free games per month (some you will like others you won't - get over it)
3) You get discounts on selected games. Sometimes you get flash specials from 20% to 70% off so check PSN regularly

Note1: All games on the PSN site are digital download so it is always a ...

Actually, the first few hours of gameplay had sound issues and the odd freeze. I restarted the game and have not had any issues since.

IMHO Lords of the Fallen is a surprisingly a good game.

In Australia, UHD Bluray movies are 50% to 100% more the price of the same Bluray movie. That is if you can get the UHD Bluray movie you want.

In the US and in the UK not worldwide, but I can't find any figures as by how much they trumped the PlayStation. Some say by a few thousand others say by a few ten thousand. No matter the PS4 still leads by a comfortable 21 million.

Has anyone got more concise figures rather than so-called informed hearsay?

Consumer 4K monitors don't have HDR at the moment. Wait for next year and even then you should consider a screen size of 27" the basic minimum.

Getting a 4K TV can be a major problem. If your viewing distance is more than two meters and your screen is less than 50" then you may find that there is no real advantage of a 4K screen over a 1080p screen. You really do need a larger screen (recommended 60" and above) to appreciate 4K but unfortunately the larg...

I have the PS3 Legendary Edition of Skyrim and you still get bugs which Bethesda can't be bothered patching. Overall the game is still playable as long as you are aware of some of the issues. The first one is "the 6MB bug" in that when your saves exceed 6MB every time the game auto-saves it freezes. (the fix - turn off all auto-saves and save manually).

I did find that the game's framerate does drop on occasion but nothing that would stop my enjoyment of t...

The PS4's disk reader can only read DVD and Bluray disks. It can't read CD disks and since all PS1 disks are basically CD's it can't read them.

Sony were up front when they gave out the specs for the PS4 and if you were one of those people who wanted to play PS1 and/or PS2 game disks then you should have kept either your PS1, PS2 or PS3.

I have over 60 PS2 games and also a BC PS3 and on occasion, I do get a nostalgia kick and will play them again. Upscaling and smoothing are great features but they still can't beat a remastered game which can have better graphics and trophies if you want those things.

PS Now is a streaming service that allows people to play Playstation games without the need of a Playstation. The performance of PS Now is dependent on your internet connection and can be likened to any st...

I fully agree with what you said.

I do have a bc PS3 and PS4 and on occasion, I do get a nostalgia kick and will play PS2 games that I own, but I have never purchased a PS2 since I got my PS3 and I have never purchased a PS3 game since I got my PS4.

IMHO backwards compatibility is a great selling feature at the start of the console life cycle but after two years it is only a value added feature and is only useful if you still have your original games. Let...

It depends on your screen size and your viewing distance. You also have to consider if your 4K display, graphics card and game supports HDR as well. Good luck with getting a 4K HDR monitor since they are not commercially available yet although they will be fairly soon.

Check the HDR latency on the TV you are interested in. If the latency is too high you have effectively wasted your money if you predominately wanted the TV for 4K games. It is best to look at value for money rather than cheap.

IMHO if you are serious about 4K gaming you really should consider a 4K TV with low latency HDR you should also consider 60" and above but unfortunately the larger the screen the greater the price.

Another option that is worth ...
