That depends on your overall game size. Some games especially AAA can have install sizes varying from 25GB to 50GB and that is without patches. Other games can vary from 1GB to 25GB (Indies do fall into this category) depending on the game and the developer. You can even get games under 1GB in size.

It is all well and good having a huge amount of games but the question I have to ask is how long do you think it takes you to fully play each game (ie. start to finish not compl...

The PS3 and PS4 have a SATA2 bus which has a maximum throughput of 300MB/sec which means that all data on that bus is limited to that speed. A normal hard disk (depends on brand) has a performance of 70MB/sec to 100MB/sec read speed with a 20% to 40% reduction for write speed.

A SATA3 bus (PS4pro and modern PC's) has a maximum throughput of 600MB/sec and this bus would benefit from an SSD with its 500 plus MB/sec read performance. But it is not quite that simple.

I have never been a PC gamer although I do have a very powerful desktop PC which for your interest does not run a Microsoft operating system since I don't trust them. In addition, I also have a backwards compatible PS3 and a PS4 all of which I can switch between in seconds.

I could plug my desktop PC (it's very portable) into my 55" 3D HDTV and can easily do the same with my PS3 and PS4 (about a minute). The trouble is that I have other family members who prefe...

I think the following saying is very appropriate here. "You can please some people some of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all people all of the time".

I haven't finished The Witcher 3 either since I decided to replay at the hardest setting and IMHO that is the only way to play the game since I found all other difficulty settings are too easy.

I personally like FF13 and FF13-2 but then I also liked all the other FF games from 4 through 8 then 10 and 12 (I missed 9 mainly because I got a PS2 and I preferred purchasing PS2 games to purchasing a PS1 game).

As to which was the best I don't really like to compare since they all have their pros and cons. All I can say is "I enjoyed them all".

I have not even thought about FF15 although I will pick it up one day. It is just I have a huge...

There is more to FF13 than just button mashing since you can and IMHO should improve your weapons and adjust your "Paradigm Shift" setup to suit your party. In fact, since FF13 and FF13-2 were "active turn based" you only had to confirm a changed selection with "X" although if you didn't the game would autorun according to your default "Paradigm Shift" setup.

Note: The only time you had to press "X" in a battle is if you...

I think the main technical problems are the small user base of 14 million WiiU owners. Although I could be wrong I think the vast majority of WiiU owners will be jumping ship for the Switch when it comes out so the active user base for the WiiU will be quite a lot smaller than 14 million.

Try the following in a web search "microsoft directx and cloud for xbox one improvements". I got close to 900,000 hits. Happy reading.

Did you every ask yourself why is Angry joe screaming "stupid stuff" when it is blatantly obvious he does not like games which effectively rip off the player with over the top pre-orders, unnecessary DLC, rip off microtransactions and especially "pay to win". Most other reviewers do get salty when publishers and even developers do this.

Being "salty" can really help get the message across especially to some people who's attitude is "We...

I was a bit disappointed that Angry Joe started to review more movies but I can understand why since you can do a review on a movie much faster (eg. Watch movie 1.5~2.5 hours then critique it 1~2 hours) than on a game that may require many hours of gameplay just to get a feel of the game. He has had trouble with his eyes which appears to be settling down now so he has got back to critiquing games.

BTW. Bookmarked AngryCentaurGaming, I will check the show out later. Thanks...

I have heard of them but they don't review very often and when they do the review is informative but IMHO not that entertaining. When reviewing games it is very important to be informative whilst being entertaining and balancing one against the other can be very difficult since too much of one can be offputting.

Actually, Angry Joe does complain about the shortness and sometimes lack campaigns in games, especially AAA games. In addition, he like many Youtube game review...

Got to love how the writer considers that most parents and even grandparents don't have any appreciation for games when the electronic gaming actually took off in the 1980's. How old do you think a young gamer's (say 5 years old) in 1985 is today and that is not taking into account adults who liked electronic games as well?

Of course, you are always going to have people (young and old) who cannot see the appeal of electronic games but will happily vegetate in fr...

Yes I did spend my time and resources building my own Skylake Intel Core i7 PC and it is quite powerful, however I don't run a Microsoft operating system and will never need any software associated with Microsoft.

While I am not a PC gamer I can actually connect to Steam and download Linux games and as per this comment there are over 5000 games available and the list is growing. Even if I choose to download games that were written for the Microsoft operating system I ca...

At the moment having a 4K Blueray disk player is purely for movies which on average are 50% to 150% dearer than their 1080p Bluray counterparts. Great for videophiles but most people don't care and if they have access to companies like Netflix they can watch 4K movies via streaming.

Say for the sake of an argument you get games developers bring out a game who's size is greater than 50GB and is put on a UHD Bluray disk only then in the case of the XB1 family that wou...

I have a similar network speed and none of the ISP's in my area offer better although we will be getting fiber in the next few years which will quadruple or higher the download and upload speeds.

I normally limit my downloads to 15GB or less but since I have unlimited and I don't mind waiting a few hours which could be 6 to 20 hours for a 50GB game depending on the overall network traffic.

I am usually aware of physical and digital game prices wit...

As an example, I am going to use Crysis 3 which is a 14.52GB download. That game can be played at 8K resolutions and in the web page I am providing the PC builder explains why. https://www.youtube.com/wat... It is worth watching as the video is quite entertaining as well as informative. Yes, you do need a very powerful machine to natively render certain games in 8K but the game size need not change if it is programm...

I do have unlimited downloads from my ISP (Optus in Australia) I still have to consider the time it takes to download a game although I can always leave it overnight. Normally AAA games are in the region of 30GB to 50GB and even though on rare occasions you can get one of those games cheaper than the physical copy with flash sales and sometimes as a free game, you could be waiting months for this to happen.

Another thing you do have to consider is how big are the patches fo...
