In the case of the PC unless Microsoft is a publisher or assist in the development they don't get any money from games that will run under Microsoft Windows.

Fallout 4 is what is called an "Action Role Playing Game" and as such is popular with people who like RPG's as well as Action/Adventure and First Person Shooters. In other words, a "mixed bag" that can appeal to people across a range of genres which means allot more sales than if the game was one type of genres.

Fallout 4 also runs on consoles and PC's which means the target audience is pretty large as shown by the fact that it has shipped well o...

What has watching UHD videos which cost from 50% to 100% more than the standard 1080p Bluray disk have to do with playing games on a 4K display?

Of course you can tell the difference between a 1080p and a 4K display if you have the appropriate content and if you can't may I suggest a god eye specialist.

You should note that I said "if you have the appropriate content". For example if you used 1080p content to both displays you should still be able to tell the difference since the 4K display should upscale it although the differnce will not be all that significant.

It is also importa...

Now all we need is "The Most Disappointing XBox 1 Game Releases of 2016".

The article lists the following:
1) Dino Dini's Kick-Off Revival
2) Weeping Doll
3) Alekhine's Gun
4) Coffin Dodgers
5) Ace Banana
6) No Man’s Sky
7) Dogchild
8) Homefront: The Revolution

Except for "No Man’s Sky" (I can't comment since it is not a genres I particularly like) a...

@BLKxSEPTEMBER

Actually, Ratchet and Clank for the PS4 is a remake and revamp of the original game that came out on the PS2. It is not a remaster but a retelling of Ratchet's first meeting with Clank to many events that were seen in later releases of the series.

In the demo, you can pick up crafting items such as the following: rusty bolt, spring, copper ore, iron ore, bent plate, ....etc. You cannot do anything with those items in the demo but in the full game you will be able to just like you could do in the original Nier game.

@343_Guilty_Spark

I would prefer to calling Nier Automata an action RPG rather than a hack and slash since there will be so much more to this game than just hack and slash. See the above...

Nier came out for the PS3 and the XBox360 and Nier Automata is slated for the PS4 and Microsoft Windows.

Whether Nier Automata comes out for the XB1 has not been confirmed either way. It is possible to bring the game out for Microsoft Windows without paying Microsoft (most games for Microsoft Windows are like that) but to bring the game out for the XB1 means paying Microsoft.

I think that Platinum Games and Square-Enix may let Nier Automata come out for ...

Nier on the PS3 is well worth playing and the game has multiple endings. IMHO Nier had an interesting story and is an action RPG, unfortunately the graphics are more like the ones you see in later games on the PS2 rather that what you would expect on a PS3. The graphics are still acceptable though.

The intro of Nier is interesting since the character levels up incredibly quickly but you must keep in mind that the main character is not the character in the intro.

There are quite a few demos on PSN and even some games you can play on a timed trial where you pay to unlock if you wish to play the full game. I personally like this since it saves paying fro an overhyped game and then finding out that you don't like it.

There are even some free to play games such as Neverwinter (MMORPG) which does have microtransactions but I found that you can still enjoy the game without spending any money.

I actually downloaded ...

You are in a factory which is run by robots so it sort of makes sense to have robots everywhere.

There are different types of robots from small to large (some with shields) and flying robots. You also have a massive digger that will attack as well (not really a spoiler since it is very early in the demo). On hard or very hard settings the small robots will attack in waves attempting to surround you and if that happens you will lose health very rapidly.

If...

You can see the aliasing if you are looking for it but I am playing on a IPS 1080p monitor and I have to put my face fairly close to the screen. The article is "nit-picking" for the sake of "nit-picking".

It won't be a day one buy for me since I have too many games already but eventually, this is a definite buy for me.

So you expect factories to have stained glass windows and hotel furniture or maybe you expect lush forests? 😉

Looks really nice in 1080p and I have a standard PS4.

Yes, there is aliasing issues (IMHO not glaringly noticeable) and they are normally seen in the distance. You also have to remember this is demo.

3464d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yes, you can notice aliasing it if you are looking, however the demo is fairly fast paced so unless you really want to nit pick it is not very noticeable. Also keep in mind this is a demo.

@darthv72

The girl looks similar to the one in the original Nier but she is not the same. So far from what I can gather the girl and the guy are androids and there are no humans.

@TheOptimist

Please show me a web age that stated that "Death Standing" is definitely coming to the PC since all web sources of any note say it is an exclusive. There are some web sources that do say it is coming to the PC but they are still only rumors.

I have played Halo one on PC and IMHO the first hour was an adrenaline rush but after getting down to the Halo surface I kind of lost interest. What made me loose interest faster was when one of my friends said there was a really great vehicle section.

Normally I don't like FPS and driving games although the exception to that was the latest Doom. Now that was fun.

I can understand a pay to unlock where first one or two levels are free but what you have described is "pay to win" and that is the point where I delete the game.

You know not everyone likes Mario games.

Most people like particular genres and stick to them although within those genres they can still be picky.
