Well if you already have a PS4 you do have the option of replacing the hard drive which obviously is an extra cost and then you are left with a 500GB disk drive.

If an external drive is supported you get to keep your 500GB internal drive with the added bonus of 625MB/sec transfer rate via the USB3 port from/to your external drive.

If you don't have a PS4 and are considering one maybe if Sony produced a new SKU with a 1TB or 2TB (preferable) internal drive...

I will agree with you as far as speed goes but SSD's are not cheap in-comparison to hard drives especially when you are looking at a 1TB SSD compared to a 1TB Hard drive. Of course you also have to take into account the bus and the software controlling the transfer. Still if you have the money go ahead.

While I cannot comment on Walmart since we don't have them in Australia but we do have two major stores that do cater for games. The first being EB Games which is as the name implies is for gaming. The second JB Hi-Fi which has as much game stock as EB's, however this store also sells TV's, Hi-Fi, CD's, DVD's, BD's and some sell white goods.

Basically there does not seem to be much of a difference in size between PS and XBox shelves although the Ninten...

Actually is it just me or does "Sunset Overdrive" look like awfully like "Rachet and Clank" (without Clank) but with a different skin?

I know that both games are made by "Insomniac Games" but from what I have seen of the advertising of "Sunset Overdrive" the game-play looks awfully similar to R & C with such things as Grind rails, BFG's (well in R & C you do have them), lots of weird enemies and deadpan humour.

I hope you realise that all PS3's will play original PS1 games. It is just that only the Original FAT PS3's played PS2 games as well.

As for Linux well not many people would even consider putting Linux on a PS3 since you would get a much better (to coin MS propaganda) "experience" putting it on a cheap PC if you want.

BTW: In case you think I am dumping on Linux I am typing this comment within a Chrome Browser on a Linux machine running Fed...

The price difference between a 4k HDTV and a 2k HDTV is not all that great (approx 5% to 20% more), however there is not allot of content much less games for 4k HDTV's.

In the fairly foreseeable future you will most likely see 8k HDTV's sell better than 4k HDTV's since people will see 8k HDTV's as a more future proof purchase.

It must be noted that most people who have purchased a 2k (1080p aspect 16:9 ratio) HDTV in the last few years are not...

Actually the PS3 and Xbox360 support 2k gaming since 2k is 1920x1080 pixels or 1080p (assuming an aspect ratio of 16:9).

As for 4k this is 3840x2160 pixels (assuming an aspect ratio of 16:9). The problem you have with 4k HDTV is that many people have already purchased 2k (1080p) HDTV's and the higher resolution TV's don't really have enough content to to justify replacing their older and usually quite reliable HDTV's.

Five years from now that ...

I think that most people here have a PC or at the very least a device (eg. smart phone, PS3, Xbox360, PS4, XB1 ... etc) with a web browser.

As for playing games on a console/device/PC well that is a personal preference. Not everyone who has a PC has what you or even I would classify as a "Good PC".

What PS4 owners are really peeved about is most games on the PS4 will output at the very least 1080p @ 30fps with an aspect ratio of 16:9 (rarely said bu...

Well it really depends on the types of games you like. Games like Forza Horizon 2; Sunset Overdrive and Halo MCC will be exclusive to the XB1 however there are or will be other similar games out there which will most likely be mulit-platform or even exclusive to the PS4 as well.

It really is your choice, last time I looked neither Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony has forced anyone to buy their consoles.

Looking at all the consoles and their games at the moment I ...

I would not mind paying (within reason) for PS2 emulation software on the PS4 providing I can play all my PS2 game disks. Unfortunately my son has my old still working FAT 60GB PS3 and now lives over 300 km from me and I am not keen on swapping my PS3 slim for it.

For anyone who has a PS3 you can still play all your PS1 game disks since all are backwards compatible, it is only the original FAT PS3's that can play PS2 games.

I don't know if the PS4 wil...

Dragon Age Origins was IMHO an excellent game however I preferred Skyrim's, Oblivion's and many other RPG's too numerous to mention more enjoyable ways of getting to a particular destination.

Basically with "Origins" travel was more like 1) Pick destination on map, 2) Fast travel to that destination with the occasional random battle, 3) Get to destination and explore a relatively small area (more like a sand-box). This is not to say this is bad but othe...

I sort of agree with you on this. However bringing out a new console one or two years after the the PS4 and XB1 is IMHO a gamble. This is because the WiiU was first introduced in Nov 2012 and being superseded after only three years will not sit well with Nintendo console owners.

One way to reduce the gamble is to make the new console backwards compatible like they did with the WiiU and in this way people who have purchased software for the Wii, WiiU and I think Gamecube will ...

Dragon's Dogma 2 PS4 Release Date Coming In 2015? See the following URL:

The base part of Dragon's Dogma - Dark Arisen" was IMHO better than the original Game since they did fix up some shortcomings.

One of the annoying part of Dragon's Dogma was the quest system which IMHO was fairly bland such...

Well thy could make a PS1 emulator for the PS4 since you can get one for the PC to play all PS1 game disks. Also the PS2 and PS3 (all variants) will play them as well.

The problem there is that only a few people now would have PS1 game disks and would have to either purchase them or download them. Also the PS1 was made for standard Definition TV's and the graphics quality can look pretty bad on large screen HDTV's which is why remasters of popular PS1 games to HD are ...

IMHO playing an RPG just for nudity or implied sex is really sad since the most you are going to see is one or possibly two minutes of steamy stuff then its back to the game.

Good grief if people are so immature that they need to buy a game like Dragon Age for the sex or implied sex scene(s) then they should go and get some porn instead.

BTW "Dragon Age Origins" had implied sex as well which took up about a minute and when you can consider that game...

What country are you living in and are your dollars US or some other dollar currency?

I live in Australia and a three bundle price for the PS4 is AU$569 (US$498) which includes 10% GST or AU$548 (US$479) inc 10% GST unbundled. It must be noted that what I have just quoted was from a quick web search Ebay may be allot cheaper but beware of transport costs.

Here in Australia we do have a tendency to pay more for the same product than what people in the US pay a...

I don't really think we are going to see a price drop any-time soon although like many previous responses I think they are going to make up for not having a price drop by bundles and/or a larger disk drive. Possibly 1TB which is not that more expensive than a 500GB disk in OEM quantities.

Personally a 1TB model at the 500GB price would definitely be attractive to me. Throw in backwards compatibility for PS1 (all PS3's will play these) and preferably PS2 software and I...

When choosing digital download you have to consider your internet connection speed, download/upload caps (if any) and how much you pay for this service since it is not free. Obviously you also have to consider the price of the software as well.

As for physical disks you only have to consider the cost of the disk which initially may be more expensive than their digital downloadable equivalent, although I have found out that the majority of games on physical media do depreciate...

4224d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

The nature of the PS4 and XB1 require the game be installed to the hard drive and if you have the physical media then that is basically a copy from the BD drive to the hard drive which is relatively quick in comparison to downloading via the internet.

A patch install is always by the internet unless you can get a BD disk with it on and I am not aware of this being done since you would have to pay for the disk.

As for your internet connection well that depends...

The above games games you mentioned probably won't be revived either as upgraded and re-released or new IP. Of course that is up to the game producers, after all they are in the business of making profits for their shareholders.

As for the games you mentioned I only liked "Heavenly Sword" (not everyone likes what you like) and could not care less if they make a squeal. In fact and many will disagree with me here the only game I would like to see new IP on is Sky...
