I do have a backwards comparable PS3 that can play PS1 and PS2 games although all PS3's can play PS1 games. In addition I do have a PS4 which basically means two HDMI cables and two standard power cables. Moving either my PS4 or PS3 to my living room takes approximately one minute since I already have the connectors and space in my entertainment unit.
My PC monitor has two HDMI inputs and one D-SUB, however my D-SUB input does not like me switching to HDMI and drops signa...
@thisgamer503
BTW I am not disagreeing with you.
It would be very simple for Sony to make their PS2 emulator read in a PS2 image from PS2 media however the very act of reading that image can be constituted as piracy so Sony would have to get all developers and distributors of all PS2 games to agree to this otherwise they could face quite expensive litigation action and possible criminal prosecution.
Having backwards compatibility such as in t...
Yes it is nice to have one device to play all media but sometime this is not possible. This is why I did not sell my backwards compatible PS3 and if that fails I either repair it or get it repaired. Failing that I do have a very powerful PC that will play PS2 games under emulation.
Note: If your old PS3 has a heating issue it is a simple matter of replacing the thermal paste. YouTube has plenty of examples on how to do this.
Well we have no idea what the specifications of the PS5 will be but it would be reasonable to assume it will be much more powerful.
For the PS5 it would be reasonable to expect a solid state disk for your game installs. You can actually put an SSD into the PS4 and the performance with regard to disk I/O would improve dramatically. The trouble is SSD's are not cheap in comparison to an equivalent capacity standard hard disk drives (HDD), however they are dropping significa...
Backwards compatibility for consoles is a nice value added feature that is best appreciated at the release of the new console.
Making BC available two years later while still an nice feature won't have the same impact as it would of at the start.
Using the XB1 as an example. If you decided to get an XB1 at the start and traded your XBox360 and games for the XB1 and some games then two years later you would have to repurchase those XBox360 games if you wa...
In principle I do agree however the question should be asked "do you still have the original media?". If you don't then how do you prove that you originally purchased the product?
Another question that should be asked in the case of product on dissimilar media such as cassette tape to play on a system that only takes CD, BD or DVD media is how do I translate this?
As an example: Say you have a legitimate recording on VHS and you now want it to...
I have played a few games from "From Software" games such as the King's Field series, as well as the Souls series and now Bloodborn. Each game has a story there but you really have to look for it and in some ways fill in the gaps from your imagination.
IMHO having the story fully explained actually spoils the premise of the story.
Actually World Tendency is more complex then what you stated.
Dying while in human form not only makes the game harder but slowly shifts you towards black tendency. On the other hand PvP shifts you much more quickly towards black while helping others shifts you towards white.
What is interesting is that both black and white do reward you since certain areas in the game cannot be access unless you have a white or black tendency. Not having a tenancy can block ...
I think you should have added after "get better at it", or "just admit you are't that good and look for a game that is easier for you". IMHO there is no shame in admitting this as long as you have tried.
I am aware that some people think that for some reason all games should be a walk in the park for them and when they find out this is not the case they either cheat to try and impress and if they can't they complain about it.
It is not that difficult to get the ring and you don't have to fight any bosses to get it. the only problem is you need to find out where it is and surprisingly you can actually seen the dead person who has the ring after clearing the causeway (should take about 5 to 10 minutes). Now the problem comes in how to get to it.
In a Souls game you can make the game easier. All you have to do is level and not be in a situation where you could be invaded.
Of course if you can't level your character then maybe you should reconsider playing the game. Sounds elitist yes but in reality it is actually very easy to level up in the first hour of the game. You may die a few times but that is whole idea of the games.
Actually it was the other way around for me. I do have to agree that Bloodborne is like the Souls series and at the same time it is different.
I think The Witcher 3 was more of a help for me playing Bloodborne and in some ways Bloodborne was a help in playing The Witcher 3. A sort of chicken and egg conundrum.
I agree I am going to restart (I am only up to level 24 on "blood and broken bones") on "Death March" so I do expect to die allot initially however I am definitely going to enjoy the challenge.
Nothing like seeing an enemy with a red skull over their health bar, makes for a great "Oh S&!t" moment.
Personally I don't mind games that have have difficulty settings that you can choose from at the start of the game although I normally choose a harder but not necessity the hardest difficulty.
I don't even mind if you can increase the difficulty if you feel the game is too easy for you, but having the ability to reduce the difficulty is IMHO like cheating.
I would not object if game developers who allow this would give you a give you a trophy to say ...
At the start of the game you can select Witcher 2 settings and this gives you an extra level of difficulty over your initial difficulty selection.
As an example I played "Blood and broken bone's", said "yes" to "Witcher 2" setting settings and was forced into a fight with five neckers after the dream sequence. I also got an extra quest. If I said "no" to Witcher 2 settings I did not get the initial fight and missed the extra quest a...
In Oblivion, Skyrim and even The Witcher 3 you can select your difficulty level at the start of the game, however you can also change your difficulty level when playing.
Making the game more difficult is ok with me but reducing the difficulty as far as I am concerned is cheating although I don't object to a trophy that indicates this.
In Skyrim you must have initially selected one of the harder difficulty levels at the start of the game. I actually play...
Rather than just disagree here is a site that will explain frames per second verses refresh rate. http://www.avadirect.com/bl... There are plenty of other sites as well.
It must be noted that a display with a high refresh rate normally looks allot more crisper even if the frame rate is lower. In this case you may be viewing a single frame more than once due to the refresh rate of y...
I can run some benchmarks on my PC that will max out CPU and/or Memory and/or even I/O however that does not mean I am effectively maxing out my machine.
It never ceases to amaze me how some developers claim to have maxed out this or that console or even PC. When I hear that my first thought is they are probably very lazy coders and have given little if any thought to efficiency.
The major issue with Multi-player only games is if the connection to the internet is dropped such as servers going down or even your network connection having poor performance, you have effectively a dead game.
I definitely agree with you. I do on rare occasions play PS2 games but I mostly prefer playing current games.
The reason why I don't often play older games is that I prefer RPG's and the ones I still have take in the order of 40 to over 100 hours to finish so I do have a tendency to think twice before I replay a game that is going to take a long time to complete.
I do have some Action/Adventure games that are shorter but when I say shorter I am talkin...
