I was only going to spend about 30 minutes on the game but decided after 4 hours that it was time to go to bed especially after I was making stupid mistakes from being too tired.
Personally I did not get all that far in the game (level 10), however I did find an Axe (my favourite weapon in Bloodborne) and while it is slower than the katana it really does hit hard although you want to build your strength to use this weapon properly. The Axe does not degrade as much as the katana but I found that with a whetstone you can sharpen all equipped weapons.
Getting surrounded by three or more enemies usually results in death and the wildly swinging camera do...
I actually prefer the Angry Joe review at least he shows some game-play that the developers probably would not like you to see.
As for the power of "The Cloud" well that really is "Remote IT Services" which I was familiar with in the mid 1980's and surprise, surprise not much as changed since you are fully dependent on the network infrastructure between the user's computer/console and the cloud servers. Great if you have a fast reliable connectio...
Sort of looks like "Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria" which was on the PS2 except of course the graphics is allot better.
Unfortunately this is on mobile and to-date I have never found an RPG on those platforms that I could get interested in although I think I have been spoiled by using a controller. Touch screens and small ones at that for gaming are not immersive enough for me no matter what the resolution.
Personally if people like hand-held gami...
It is kinda funny when the guy says that the second hand 3DS had over "30 explicit images and hardcore videos". How did he determine that? 😉
I fully agree. Sure the game is tough but like the Bloodborne and the Souls series it is fair. Unfortunately I had just finished a few hours of a Chalice dungeon in Bloodborne and on a whim tried to play the game. I died allot however I was tired and the controls were different, then I realised that I better go to bed after four hours of enjoyable game-play. 😉
I do find the game allot more visceral in that there is dismemberment and lots of blood which is differen...
IMHO it is more along the lines of Bloodborne with a dash of The Witcher 3 for dismemberment and buckets of blood.
I do agree that for a first time player you will die allot, however like Bloodborne and the Souls games you should play for one or two hours so you can get used to the mechanics of the game then restart, but this time you will have a better handle on the game. That initial what I would call a training session can save hours of frustration.

Personally I think game-play is more like what you have in Bloodborne than in a Souls game although they all have similarities. The game is also allot more visceral as well (more along the lines of The Witcher 3) where there is allot of dismemberment rather than lots of blood although there is plenty of that as well.
The lock-on which actually does work seems odd and many times I died with a back stab.
This game looks very promising.
I had just finished playing a Chalice dungeon in Bloodborne and decided to try this game before going to bed. Four hours later I crashed.
I mostly agree with what you said although I did not find the frame rate that bad. For one on one fights I did not have a camera issue but more than one enemy and the camera was all over the place.
I do agree that the lock on was a bit odd and I got stabbed many times in the back. I sort of got around that by using the ...
Currently playing Bloodborne and loving every minute of it (I refuse to look at a how-to or read the walk thorough), so it may be a while before I get around to R&C. Not only that but I put The Witcher 3 on hold (playing on Death March and loving it) and I don't know when I can show any love for Dragon Age - Inquisition -- Sigh!
This is not a put down on R&C since I am a great fan of the series. I even have the first three PS2 games plus the the first two PS3 ve...
You are quite right, to get into gaming that will output 4K games (basically a game with ultra settings turned on) then you need a powerful PC. While it is possible to get away with an i5 or equivalent processor (particularly if you can over-clock) you also need a decent graphics card as well.as reasonably performing memory. Of course for decent loading times an SSD is also preferred. All of what I mentioned does not come cheap and I have not even mentioned the 4K display yet.
How did you arrive at the conclusion that Sunset Overdrive (made by Insomniac Games) was a rip-off of Infamous.which was made by "Sucker Punch Productions". If anything there is more similarity to Ratchet and Clank (also made by Insomniac Games) in game-play style.
I am aware that on YouTube there is an attempt at a comparison but they really are different games although because they both fall into the Action/Adventure category there are some similarities.
@Doabarrelroll
The Division and The Witcher 3 are both cross platform games with The Witcher 3 being a single player RPG with no on-line component. As for Return of the Tomb Raider Microsoft did pay for timed exclusivity however the PS4 will get it late this year.
I do agree that Microsoft is trying to make it look like they are the good guy, but corporations and people do have long memories and the acronym "EEE" (Embrace, Extend, Extinguish) i...
Oh yes I defiantly want to buy the so called PS4K so I can display games in 4K resolution on a 1080p HDTV. I am quite sure that 100's of millions of people are going to throw-out their working HDTV's because they are told that 4K displays are now the in thing.
I think I will wait for 8K (they actually are out now) since I don't really want a low resolution 4K display. 😉
I am not sure what the writer of the article is really trying to say. Appears to be more along the line of wishful thinking.
I do agree that putting in a 3 layer BluRay player and a 2.0 or 2.1 HDMI connector would be a viable and relatively cheap option which would cater for people with a 4K display and want to play the new 4K 3 layer BluRay disks. By doing this you would not split the PS4 community.
There may be a possibility of a 4K up-scaler but why w...
@343_Guilty_Spark
If you look at an upgradeable desktop you will notice the slots for additional cards or you can even replace existing cards for better performing ones. Take a look at either the PS4 or the XB1 and there are no slots nor is there a possibility of expansion or upgrade unless the motherboard is changed.
As for changing the components that is possible however you have to gear up for that and even then the original motherboard may not be up ...
Why wait 6 years? In less than six years we will have 8k (out now) at an affordable price why would I want a lower resolution 4K display? As for 8K gaming well it will be interesting to see what type of hardware is going to support that. 😉
It would make allot more economical sense and would not upset people who purchased PS4's previously for Sony to bring out a PS4K with a 3 layer BluRay player and HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 socket than increasing the performance of the el...
I have not played DS3 yet since I restart Bloodborne because I did not like my current build and some choices I made so I am going to take some time to finish before I get DS3.
Personally I am keeping well away from any walk through unless I am really stuck and that only happened once (definite face-palm when I found out). For me reading a walk through or watching a how-to spoils the fun of the game. Nothing like walking into an area for those "Oh S**t!" moments ...
Having played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls I got was able to get into Bloodborne fairly quickly, however unlike the Souls series you have to be much more aggressive although some of the creatures you go up against appear much more difficult than they actually are and like you said they psychologically play you. This is best explained in the video link in the article,.
For new players of Bloodborne I would recommend actually playing for about one hour using one of the t...
It's pretty well fast paced like Bloodborne but it's not just the blood of which there are lots of, the game is very gory as well with legs arms and head flying every which way.
I had just finished a Bloodborne Chalice dungeon when I decoded to give the Nioh alpha a go and was quite surprised how enjoyable the game was although the controls are are different to Bloodborne's. I did find the lock-on was a bit odd in that you could run away with you back to the en...
