I sort of agree with you but if some of the reviews with gameplay that I have seen on Destiny and "The Division" I don't think they are worth US$60. I think "grind fest" and "boring" come to mind here.

Surprisingly "Splattoon" actually got some quite good reviews and the gameplay looked fairly interesting. Titanfall came off as interesting but Battlefront (assuming StarWars EA) had incredible graphics but fairly mediocre and in so...

I have always liked the Zelda and Metroid series but I am very lukewarm with respect to most of Nintendo's other offerings such are Mario, Pokemon and Star Fox. Sure there are the odd third party games but most go to the PlayStation, the XBox or even the PC.

The only thing that would entice me to get a new Nintendo console even though I have had their consoles from the NES through to the GameCube is if it got new IP and having the odd Zelda and Metroid game is not an in...

The DS and BB games are IMHO tough but they are fair. Having played all but DS2 and 3 (on my to do list) I think the main thing these game teach is patience and perseverance. In fact none of the games are overly hard, however, these games do play on the players as well. As an example, it can be quite a shock walking into an area and confronting a boss that you were not expecting, especially if that boss is huge and/or horrifying.

Note: I find the best way to play any of the...

I have played the original Crysis on PC and was impressed by the graphics. Personally, I did not like playing Crysis since I have never been into FPS games although I don't have any issue with first person perspective RPG's.

Good Graphics can make a good game (subjective) look and feel better but if you don't like that type of game then the graphics are effectively wasted on you.

Basically, what you said is subjective.

If you like Action RPG's then TW3 sets the bar for that genre that much higher. Of course, if you don't like RPG's in general then TW3 is not for you.

Microsoft (current $52) like Sony (current $28) and Nintendo (current $18) are businesses that are ultimately responsible for making a profit for their shareholders. If the shareholders get nervous and they can be a very skittish bunch then they start to withdraw their money which could effectively destroy the company.

All companies if they wish to remain as a company must diversify or must be doing something so well that there is no need for that. Microsoft like Sony has d...

The PS4 can already display 4K content @ 30fps what it can't do is play the new three layer BluRay disks which were only just ratified a year ago.To output 4K @60fps you also need HDMI V2.0 or higher.

Upgrading the PS4 to the PS4K (whatever) with a three layer BluRay and HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 would not really require retooling and would result in the improved PS4 being only slightly dearer than the existing PS4 and would not split the user base since game performance would no...

Maybe they will be happy with an 8 core i7 @4GHz plus 32GB of RAM @3200MHz plus a 1TB SSD as well as a high-end graphics card with 8GB DDR5 and capable of outputting at 4K resolution or maybe 8K is their goal. We all know the average gamer can afford that. /s

Too many excuses, bring out at least a playable demo otherwise, I am not holding out much hope for the game.

Personally, I did not like Squall Leonhart initially since he came across as very moody and IMHO quite annoying, however, as the game progresses his personality does improve.

I don't know if I would play the game again (still have it) mainly because even on the PS3 with smoothing the graphics are very grainy especially on a large HDTV, which unfortunately is pretty much the same for most PS1 games. At least for most PS2 games they are graphically acceptable when played ...

FFVIII was released in Japan on September 24, 2009, in North America on December 18, 2009 and in Europe on February 4, 2010. So it is a fairly old game.

What is fairly unique about this game is the super deformed characters that were in FF1 through 6 were now replaced with more life-like (for the time) characters. FFVII was not quite super deformed but definitely cartoony. FFVIII was also the second FF game on the original PlayStation (FFVII was the first) and came on four ...

I would advise you to take a course on Business 101 marketing.

It is definitely possible to possible to play 4k games, however, how much do you think a machine like this would cost when a decent graphics card that can do 4k costs more than the current PS4. Even if Sony or Microsoft brought out a console that could play 4k games, that would require a new console form factor that will be required for efficient cooling. This in-turn requires retooling of the PS4 or XB1 assemb...

Actually, what you have said is what I have been saying for a few months now. The 4k BluRay standard was only just ratified just on a year ago and we are just now seeing 4k BluRay players, so it would make perfect sense for Sony to bring out a PS4 with a 4k BluRay player (needs HDMI 2.0 or higher). While a 4k BluRay module would most likely be more expensive the overall cost differential would not be that great and any retooling costs from the HD PS4 to the 4k PS4 would be minimal.

Well if you have any insight into the number of consoles sold to date then, please enlighten us. Untill then we have no choice but to accept information from VGChartz.

Before anyone says why trust VGChartz then let me refer to the above paragraph. Even assuming an error of say 10% it is still obvious that the PS4 is leading the XB1 by many millions in sales.

The PS4 and XB1 have only been out since November 2013 and that is more like two and a half years.

As for games I look at exclusives which as you have said are relatively few, but I also like cross-platform games as well and for me the PS4 has all the games I am interested in.

Both games fall into the Action/Adventure genres so it is possible to compare them (sort off).

Personally, when I play a game I want to play a game and not watch a live TV show or excessively long cut-scenes, so without even comparing other factors such as gameplay Quantum Break has just lost. Of course, there will be people who do like the so-called marriage of live action to game-play which is fine but I and many millions of other players have little if any interest in t...

The difficulty settings actually determine the enjoyment of the game. Play on pretty much any difficulty except "Death March" and the game can get quite boring combat wise. If you finish the game you can get a NG+ which is so much more challenging again, the problem is that once you finish the game you may feel that you would like to play a different game or at the very least one of the two DLC's rather than start from the beginning again.

Personally, I would ...

You really need to play The Witcher 3 is on the higher difficulty settings and NOT touch that difficulty slider. This is the only way to really appreciate the mechanics of the game or as "sammarshall102" so eloquently put "Git gud!"

3654d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

Did you play the game on the harder difficulties?

Playing on "Blood and Broken Bones" and especially "Death March" is the best way to play the game. Playing on any other mode is basically spamming the "Square" and "Triangle" buttons (PS4) which get's boring really quickly.

One feature of the game I refused to use was the difficulty slider (Skyrim and Oblivion have this too) since IMHO this actually spoils the g...
