I am definitely looking forward to testing out the PSVR although it may be possible that I am one of those few people that are not suited to using such a device. If that is the case then that is my problem and to all those millions of people who don't have any issues I really do hope you enjoy the experience.
If a person has a problem with their eyes then that is unfortunate for them and of course it may be possible that they will never be able to use a VR headset. Even if a small percentage can't use a VR headset why would you go out of your way condemning the product when a huge percentage can use the product effectively.
@Darklink28
You have my sympathies however just because you can't use a VR headset why do you condemn a device that millions will be able to...
Some people spend a considerable amount of money on a decent monitor or even a TV so that information can be displayed on them. A VR headset can be likened to a personal display device that can replace or augment an existing display device. Somehow I cannot envisage a display device as a non-essential peripheral.
Even if you just use say the PSVR in cinema mode only like you have suggested it would still make a decent display device with a virtual screen up to five meters ...
I realise this may come as a shock to you but not everyone likes Call of Duty or Battlefield games or even First Person Shooters for that matter.
As for being able to afford a $3000 PC big deal that is small change to some who can design, build and customise their own PC yet still like to play their games on a console, especially for a game that will not come to a PC running a Microsoft operating system.
For anyone contemplating building a desktop it is well worth reading this article.
When I talk about a desktop I don't mean a laptop or tablet since those PC's have very limited upgrade-ability normally being memory and storage.
The author does discus the Intel architecture although you can apply the same concepts to AMD architecture which is relatively cheaper though you have to be careful since cheap does not mean better but depending on the req...
Well actually it Polish culture which is not Slavic culture. Take a look at a map of Europe and you will see that Poland is quite close to a number of major countries including Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Lithuania and across the Baltic sea Sweden.
You do have different species such as Dwafs, Elves, Trolls, Succubi, Witches and even Vampires to name a few. Basically in the game if you can talk to it (this includes humans as well) you may be able to reason with it.
As an example (not really a spoiler - I hope) there is mini quest where you go to an island and talk to a Troll who says he/it has joined on the Radania forces although I am quite sure these forces would not welcome a Troll. When Geralt talks to the troll ...
Well to each his own. The dogs in TW3 are probably the most easiest of creatures to kill although to be fair they are pack animals and on the harder difficulties can actually back attack you while two or more attack from the front. It can be even worse with some necrophages since some will recover life while others fly into a rage and recover life much more quickly while hitting so much harder.
If you have played Bloodborne or any of the Souls games then play TW3 on "...
I actually purchased Bloodborne and TW3 together and steeled myself in playing TW3 first on "Blood and Broken Bones". I actually completed the Skelige islands then decided to restart the game on "Death March" which IMHO is the best difficulty to play the game on especially if you can play any of the Souls series and/or Bloodborne.
I did get a reasonable way in the game (Novigrad) but I really wanted to play Bloodborne as well since I only had 30 minutes...
Since you have played DS3 I would recommend playing The Witcher 3 on "Death March". Play the game on other than that difficulty and I will guarantee you will hate it for being too easy.
Personally I am the opposite since I am currently playing Bloodbore . I did play TW3 on the "Blood and Broken Bones" difficulty and got a fair way into the game before finding it too easy, so I restarted on "Death March" and found it so much more challenging. Un...
I did have an issue (BluRay drive) with my FAT PS3 eleven months from purchase. Since it was under warranty Sony Service repaired the machine free of charge and even paid for the postage and handling. The machine is still running today.
The only thing Sony removed from my PS3 was the "Other OS" feature and that was by an optional firmware update. No other features were removed. Some people say that this was a terrible thing but lets be honest here. How many people...
Since the PSVR has both a VR and a movie mode it can appeal to the gamer who still wants to play normal computer gamers on the PS4 and later on VR games. In addition we also have the movie buff who can now watch movies or even shows on a massive up to 5 meter virtual screen.
From what I have seen of some of the PR demos you can have the a rendition of the area that the gamer sees displayed on the HDTV where other players can interact via the the PS4. This could make for som...
Personally I have no issue with portables at all be they handhelds or smart phones however I have never been a fan of portable gaming although I don't mind the odd Angry Birds or Solitaire on my mobile, however I only play those games if I am travelling or waiting while I out of my home. Most of the time I prefer gaming either on console or my PC.
That said I have actually played portables before and IMHO if you are going to play a hand-held game it is so much better to...
Since RPG's do take sometime to play I only get them after I have played my current one. Usually by the time I am ready to buy a new RPG it has dropped in price or is even available second hand. Of course there are always special sales of RPG's at ridiculous prices such that it is actually cheaper to just go for a digital download.
The bottom line is to be careful with your money and do your homework rather than impulse buy. This does not mean buy cheap but buy item...
I can understand pre-order for a physical copy in case the store runs out on the first day or that there are some "must have" (subjective) special items such as a book, statue, special DLC etc that you really want.
Pre-ordering a digital download is IMHO stupid since the electronic store will never run out of copies. Of course there is always the early access and additional content sweeteners which IMHO are particularly useless and aimed at impatient people. Sti...
Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 are developed by From Software which is a Japanese company and both games are RPG's with an emphasis on action instead of turn-based or active turn-based hence they are JRPG's. I can even throw in Dragon Quest Heroes (emphasis on action) which was brought out by Square Enix in 2015 which is also a Japanese company hence it is a JRPG.
The are plenty more JRPG's that were launched late year or this year. So for the article's headlin...
The Witcher 3 is actually a PRPG (Polish RPG). 😉
@Zeldafan64
Why do you think the NX is going to run off cartridges?
If Nintendo brings back the cartridge then it is going to be more expensive for games and I can guarantee that third party developers will desert the platform.
The only advantage of cartridges over a BluRay (approx 27MB/s read) disk is they can be read much faster, this is why games for both the PS4 and XB1 are installed onto the hard disk which can be read at over 100...
I have played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls and am now in the process of playing Blooborne. Dark Souls 2 and 3 are definitely on my to do list but the problem is finding the time especially when I just spent a few hours on the Nioh demo of which I am nowhere near completing.
Which of the From Software games is better?
From my personal point of view all have their pluses and minuses but all are great.
As far as I can determine there has been no confirmation that the PSVR will support 3D movies or games. This in not to say it won't but at the moment we don't know.
