As "Nix" said some people can get game burn out.
I still have my backwards compatible PS3 and even though I have fourteen PS4 games I still like to play the odd PS3 game. I actually played Dark Souls over the weekend and had a ball even though I still haven't finished Bloodborne which IMHO is a really enjoyable game which I am taking my time enjoying. The problem (well not really a problem) is the games I enjoy take a very long time to play and I don't lik...
My Z170 mother board can output 4k video via it's HDMI port however it needs a decent and obviously more expensive video card to support 4k gaming. All PS4's can support 4k video however they can''t support three layer BluRay disks and HDMI 2.0 or 2.1.
Personally, I have never needed more than two ports but if you really need more, you can get a five port USB adaptor quite cheaply. The following one looks quite nice attached to your PS4. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/...
A simple search should get you more sites that sell this product if the URL does not work.
I can understand the Neo supporting three layer BluRay disks with HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 and possibly a stronger CPU but other than that I can't see it supporting 4k games.
Even top gaming rigs have limited support for 4k gaming and that is with a decent and expensive graphics cards which require a more powerful power supply and possibly a more powerful CPU. All this adds up to extra heat which in turn requires a means of exhausting it. To do this will require a re-engineering...
You know, people would read what you wrote if you broke your rant down to smaller paragraphs. What are they teaching in schools nowadays?
Yes, my first thoughts were "That's not going to go down well with the fans".
From the trailer, the graphics looked pretty good but we all know that there can be a big difference between a trailer and actual gameplay.
Not necessarily although it is possible.
For this game to go to the PS4 and PC it will most likely use open API's like Vulkan rather than DirectX which is Microsoft proprietary and effectively locks developers to Microsoft platforms. I am aware that a developer can develop games that can be ported between the two API's but this still requires some effort and cost on the part of the developer.
Using an open API that is common across your target pl...
In what way has Microsoft changed? What have they changed from?
I won't deny they are a "for profit company" which is no different to most companies that have shareholders. How they go about making profits is up for debate.
The reason why Oblivion sucked for many players was the fact that the leveling system was unusual in the way that as your main level went up so did the levels of all the enemies which meant that you could be a level 20 mage or fighter with relatively low secondary attributes going up against enemies that had much higher stats, weapons and armour.
The only way to fix this imbalance was at the start of the game change all your preferred attributes to secondary attributes whi...
I could be wrong but I think more people have logged more hours on Skyrim than Morrowind and Oblivion put together. I do agree that a remaster of Morrowind (only came out for Windows and XBox) would probably be a better choice than Skyrim or Oblivion although I wouldn't say no to all three and there goes my social life.
@Dragonking007
Skyrim on the PS3 had what was called the 6MB bug. Once your saves exceeded 6MB usually around 6 to 10 hours into the game the game became painfully slow when your character went in and out of doors or between events which under normal circumstances would be seamless.
What caused this annoyance was the auto-save feature, so the fix this annoyance, when you noticed slowdown was to just turned off all auto and timed saves with possibly the ...
It may come as a shock but not everyone runs a Microsoft operating system on their PC.
Basicaly, my PC runs Linux but can also run other operating systems including Microsft's Windows 10 in a virtual machine which is actually quite nice in that I have full control over what that operating system can do.
If the rubbers fail within a year and you have the receipt take the controller back for replacement. Over a year, unless you have an extended warranty and the controller is included then all you can do is either replace the rubbers (it's not that difficult) or buy a new dual shock 4.
I suppose if it is a remaster then Skyrim would be the obvious choice. Now if they put in the Legendary Edition that would be extra filling and of course mod support would be the icing on the cake.
Personally, I would love it if they make Elder Scrolls VI in a different place and possibly a different timeline.
Well, I have the best of all worlds. I have a PS4, a backwards compatible PS3 and a high-end PC running Linux with Windows 10 running in a locked down virtual machine. Contrary to what many people think Linux is a viable gaming operating system (my dual shock 4 works perfectly) and coupled with a virtual machine I can play pretty much any game I feel like buying.
You do realise that games that run on the PlayStation don't run under a Microsoft operating system or even use DirectX .
That's a rumor and we don't actually know the specifications of the so-called PS4 Neo is so it is rather pointless bringing that up.
Not quite true. Microsft effectively owns the PC market which includes laptops and desktops although they are doing reasonably well in the tablet market as well. Even people in Japan who may only buy a Japanese branded PC will normally have to put up with MS Windows unless they can put on or have put on a Linux or BSD distribution.
If you are a serious gamer you would normally get a desktop that was pre-built although the hard-core gamer will either purchase a gaming PC, ge...
The margin on PC's is quite small and the risks can be considerable. This is one the reasons why IBM got out of the PC business and concentrated more on services and expensive large commercial computer mainframes.
For Sony to go to PC's would effectively put them at the mercy of Microsoft since most PC's sold today come with a Microsoft operating system which in pretty much all cases will be Windows 10.
For those people who are contemplating pu...
They never fixed the 6MB file save bug for the PS3 version. The only solution is to turn off all auto saves and save manually. If you have a 30-minute auto save when the time comes to save the game literally freezes for about 30 seconds, which can be very annoying if you are in the middle of a battle.
I found that manual saving is the best although you probably will forget initially and when you die it becomes a hard lesson. At least you can save pretty much anywhere so yo...
