@DarXyde- take your pedantry elsewhere. I think most of us understood the point he was trying to make. He was impressed with the quality of the review. Not the accuracy.
smh
A million ways to die in the west
People claiming Switch is a gen 9 console need to start accepting that it's basically Nintendo taking a mulligan on gen 8... As a Wii U owner from the beginning it's so disappointing to see them continue to port over games I already own instead of coming up with something brand new.
I'm itching to buy a Switch and REALLY want to play Odyssey but there's just not enough I don't already own to convince me to drop the cash just yet.
There will be 20 games...they only announced 5 as a teaser.
WTF just happened here?
Let's roll the dice!
@Darth
Wow, what a mature and objective comment! Pretty shocking to see on this site, so I'll help add to your mountain of bubbles.
On topic-
I've been a Steam junkie for a few years now, it's amazing how much they've improved since I began using the service. I was even so impressed with big picture mode that I had to upgrade and move a spare PC to my living room to share the throne with my ps360. Keep it up Valve!
As for the...
I want one, but by the time they are released I think the impulse will have passed. Would be pretty sweet to have for some nes/snes emulation though...
@Gman
lol, that comment made my day. Thanks!
It wouldn't be if it were a PS4 exclusive, right?
@muerte
Changing the resolution does not upscale on PC, it is in fact native... Nice try though.
YeeeeeeHawwwww! I can't wait to see what a machine powered by GDDR5 is capable of! I hear gddr5 outperforms even an Intel i7 in terms of raw power!!!
If you actually want an answer to your question, read the article. It's not really a doom and gloom piece. Don't worry, PS4 is still going to be capable of curing cancer and bringing about world peace once Naughty Dog and Guerrilla Games unlock it's potential.
Lol, just the fact that you took the time to write something like this tells me you deserved the bubs up :)
Holy geez, looks like somebody likes to wake up in the morning to a big bowl of fanboy flakes with tall glass of fresh squeezed Sony juice.
I've also found myself preferring PS to Xbox over the last few years, but good god man... There's plenty of great gaming to be had outside the Sony bubble as well.
You do realize that 60fps is smoother than 30 right? DmC and GoW @ 60fps would be absolutely heavenly.
There's a difference between acceptable, and optimal. Action games @ 30fps are anything BUT optimal.
rainslacker-
Nvidia didn't technically say it wasn't worth it, they said they looked at the opportunity cost of competing to get into the console market, and the justification wasn't there. That's why they wanted more $$$ than Sony was willing to shell out, to shift the justification to a level they were more happy with.
They're trying to make some major headway in the mobile market right now and didn't want to put various projects on...

Lol, that name seems to suit you well...
I wasn't saying that PS4 SHOULD compete with a top-end gaming rig. Maybe it was a poor choice of words. Just saying that people on this site should stop grasping at straws trying make a case that that PS4 is going to possess the same raw power as one. It's just ridiculous.
I know games aren't really going to appear drastically different between the two in most cases. The extra p...
Agreed, PS4 will be impressive. Not sure what you're trying to get at with the pixel rate thing though... Do you understand what your talking about or is that just another cherry-picked spec you want to throw out there to try and convince yourself that the PS4 competes with $1000+ gaming PCs?

I didn’t skip it and can tell you each new port feels like a slap in the face for being a fan back then. I have no incentive to buy a switch for the 2 or 3 games that inetest me and don’t already own...
But, that’s my problem. Good for everyone else that these are being released. They’re all worth the time.
