Sorry, but I disagree. You can't fault a company for selling a product that people want. Personally if I were to piss in a bottle, label it lemonade, and have people lining up by the millions to buy it, that's exactly what I'd do. That's what Activision does, why change the formula of a product that people go nuckin futz over?
No need to sue anyone, if you don't like the game, don't buy it. That's the ONLY way you'll ever see innovation in the...
"no more naughty dog, sucker punch, polyphony, mm.gg, ssm, zipper team ico and many more.
the sony haters from the beginning of the ps3 launch will finally get there wish"
So you're claiming that in the extremely unlikely setting where a failed handheld brings down Sony's entire gaming division, all these developers would rather be out of a job and shutdown the whole operation before they do work on any other platform?
I guess that...
I've really got no arguments with what your saying, what I was more or less getting at is that the author should have either had the 580 benchmarked as well or just left out mentioning it altogether (I would prefer the former).
I have no doubt that this card is an uber-powerful piece of technology that's overkill for most situations... But does anyone else find it amusing that all the benchmarks compare it to a gtx 570, (which it beats by few fps in most cases) only to start hinting at it being a close competitor to a gtx 580?
If that's the case why wasn't the 580 benchmarked as well? To me it seems like either a biased fluff piece or a poorly done comparison...
score!
Not sure how he figures that incorporating HD graphics have such a profound effect on game-play or storytelling... Don't very different people work on those? Like an artist creating the graphics, and another person working on the story, another tweaking the control system...
Shouldn't a focus on graphics only result in pushing a release date back since it is a completely separate process?
I think this is a crazy cool proof of concept, how far they can actually go with it is what I'm most interested in seeing unfold...
At the same time, I wonder if something like this would be in danger of being slapped with a cease and desist order. I know Bethesda is more or less supportive of the mod scene, but this seems pretty... significant for a mod...
Edit: And secondly, isn't there a whole mess of legal hoops online games have to jump through ...
Ha! An entertaining read. I too am an inverter, although I wish it felt more natural to me the "normal" way. It really sucks when some games don't give you the option.
I agree to a certain extent with kma2k. As far as the PC version is concerned, the textures in BF3 are not quite "HORIBLE!" but...
Compared to Crysis 2's high res texture pack, I'm a little disappointed. Hopefully we'll see a future release of some better textures either official, or unofficial.
On topic: I'm not that worried about Skyrim being "gimped" or anything based solely on the install size. I think Bethesda has bee...

No offense man, but if you're running low on ram just because you're running origin and steam at the same time, it might be time to upgrade...
Wow lots of people seem to think this has something to do with PS3 or folding@home... Not the case...

This is the game being talked about. Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

An article in English also- http://news.cnet.com/8301-2...
I agree with your points for the most part... True some people are socially awkward, have no life, and fill that opening with online fantasy. But I'm not sure that you really have an accurate view of the hardcore MMO crowd. I know from experience that a lot of people you might label as being "hardcore" have more of a life than the casuals.
I played WoW for a couple years (been away from it for a couple years now too). During WotLK I was a part of a raiding team...

I had to lol, you summed it up perfectly!
It does make sense if you actually attempt to think about it.
It seems as if the author is trying to make the point that children are not mature enough to handle the nerd rage they might get playing a fast paced violent game. I do agree though that the transition between the two could have been a little better, to make the connection a little more clear.
These games tend to be rated mature. Therefore parents should stop buying their little ones games that are...
"Games are released with terrible bugs that are eventually sorted out by updates, that require… an internet connection."
^^^
Only valid point in the whole article, the relatively few other arguments he gives just make him sound whiny.
I personally play very little online with the exception of a little BF or COD here and there. I used to do the mmo thing too for awhile until I wised up and got sick of the amount of time and money you have to sink into...
