Not necessarily true but sorta. There was an immense amount of platformers in the 5th Gen but many could argue it was equal or maybe even less than the saturation of shooters flooding the market this Gen and that's not stopping fps from dominating the market. I think it was more of people simply losing interest and wanting something new. Maybe the same will happen with fps? Doubt it but who knows.
Oh boy another one of these articles.
I thought this was nipped in the bud months ago. People just need to accept it. If your looking for reasons not to get it than your not even paying any attention to the systems benefits.
Only thing different is a Rep with little connection to Nintendo made this ridiculous claim LOL but Nintendo does have their fair share of gaffes too. Maybe even as much as the other two.
I think you could be doing more productive things than making it your job to constantly naysay Nintendo but of course that's just me.
Interest isn't the problem here. That should be apparent by the multitude of fans wanting them in the game and the outcry about how far they have fallen. There is plenty of interest, it isn't a AAA shooter tho so I guess its not as important right? Idk about you but I'm a gamer and I love playing games that are entertaining if that means it has a AAA budget, so be it but that isn't the sole reason I'm interested in a game. The budget isn't providing me the entertaining...
Chill out its not that deep. People just want their favorite characters in there is all. They have every right to be a bit disappointed with only 20 characters outs of the box (and potentially the only free characters) I'm not saying this wont be a solid game because I'm pretty sure it'll be entertaining but I'm not going to spend $60 on it. However Its noy my job to deter others who do wanna buy it.
Its Nintendo, looks like fun, unique, interesting gameplay styles, and of course has games I'm interested in and games for the family. Those are my reasons
People can feel free to disagree but I'm one of those that wont get this game without crash in it. Without their 1st legit mascot the game is more of a PlayStation some-stars than all-stars. Just my opinion.
I could see this happenin, especially with their ideas on VR and 3d kinect. However if they continue with an online fee, I think I may pass on this Xbox. I don't get online everyday but I like to hop on every now and then and the brief time I'm online doesn't justify my $5 a month charge. If they change it to where there are different packages you can get for XBL such as regular (play online almost every day) casual (casually play online) and buyer/browser(buy things from the mark...
Calm down its not gonna change your life that the wii u is the most powerful for about a year. Its OK to bash the wii u but jeez is it so hard to be mature about it? And chiming in with your naysaying for darn-near EVERY wii u article, it makes it seem like you actually have some kind of interest in it. If you don't like wii u, leave it alone don't beat a dead horse with the same "flaw" claims you've spat out over the past month. I'm not a huge fan of the iPhone but ...
Short answer: yes!! They make your "profession" and our hobby look like a joke.
That's one way to look at it, but your just looking at one end of the spectrum as a typical critic. Hearing the same ol criticisms
"its outdated tech"
"graphics are only = to ps3/360"
"Nintendo is kiddy"
"Nintendo can't compete with nextbox/ps4"
Saying these same generic and opinionated "flaws" doesn't help make your argument compelling. The Wii U has some question marks and definite...
LOL + bubble for being funny but im not really saying he went too far. I mean you can bash things all you want and look foolish and continue to make gaming journalism look like a joke but the author shouldn't expect anyone to seriously take what he says into professional consideration that's all.
The author was reaching a bit here. He had some valid concerns but then he just kinda went overboard. His judgments sound clouded as he most likely already isn't terribly fond of Nintendo. There's nothing wrong with bashing the Wii U(or any system or electronic device) but you could at least be professional about it and state your case as to why your concerns are legit. Whining and telling bad jokes while nitpicking isnt the way to go.
Why not point out how your conce...
Hopefully they take their time time with the next Gen jump this time around.
@PhantomT412
Manhunt 2 was censored across all platforms so it could avoid an AO rating. And honestly, the Wii version was a huge catalyst in it originally getting that rating (tho not the sole reason) but the wii's motion controls simulated murder more intuitively than the PS2 and PSP versions and they didn't wanna risk little kids learning murderous moves (apparently LOL) so they cut back on some of the controls while killing as well. The game wasn't that great ...
Amen! Sometimes I just want a videogame to be, well, a videogame LOL I like seeing the imagination and creativity within a game and most games pushing "realism" normally lack that. I hope Naughty Dog creates an IP that resembles more of a Jak & Daxter type game over a linear, action movie inspired Uncharted type game.
I like the Uncharted series but just like you I could live without it trying to be overly cinematic. Its a shame we'll probably never see a ga...
Difference is CoD comes out annually and not many other non-sports franchises have done that, even if their respective sequels are more of the same. Heck, NBA Live has had less annual releases this Gen than CoD LOL.
PS. I'm NOT a CoD hater. I have fun playing the games, I just don't run out and buy every single game when they release and I'm more of a Halo Guy when it comes to FPS but I still dab on CoD from time to time so no hatred here, just being real.
I skipped MW3 lets see how BLOPS2 turns out. I'm leaning towards not getting it but those drone tech features do look enticing! I hope the campaign is at least as good as BLOPS1(my 2nd fave Cod story besides CoD4) cuz I'm not a huge online Guy. I may get to level 25-30 thruout the year and that's it LOL but If the game is fun enough ill pick it up for Wii U, wanna see how they're gonna work the gamepad into it.
Its all about timing, not power and graphics. Idk why everyone seems to miss the point that a new gen is dictated by time and release only.
In the history of video games, the eighth generation is a term to describe the next iteration of video game consoles that are expected to follow the current seventh generation: Microsoft's Xbox 360, Sony's PlayStation 3, and Nintendo's Wii. It also describes handheld game units rele...
