Kmart and Walmart might. Online only tho.

Knowing Walmart's history I think its safe to say they'll have people camping out to get one at midnight.

I don't see the harm in playing all of them and having a good time doing it. Also, why is the Wii U constantly left out of the mix? Oh well I guess some people will just continue to act like they (Nintendo) don't exist. And whoever has more "core" games isn't an argument with me as I simply play what's entertaining and good art. I don't label myself or others and as gamers I don't believe we should be labeling "casuals" or alienating them when they ...

Divine, I don't think you wouldda been satisfied no matter what they did to the game LOL but in all honesty...why come to Nintendo news knowing full well your just gonna complain about em?

You have a good point. The NSMB series has made minor tweaks since its inception in 06 and I agree some kind of online multiplayer integration would be a welcome addition. However I do think NSMBU will make enough changes to seperate itself from the Wii Version but I can't fully make that judgment until I play it myself, it looks promising tho.

But anyways my point still stands because with the exception of this year (2 NSMB games spanning 2 different consoles) the series...

Agreed. But I have to disagree with the Mario part (somewhat) Mario doesn't put out the same game every single year. And Mario is featured in several different series/genres of games. CoD is and always will be a military shooter than sees an annual release. Super Paper Mario is nothing like Super Mario Galaxy. CoD BLOPS2 is eerily similar to MW2 or MW3. Technically different series but the games are nearly identical in terms of how you play it.

Other than that I agree wit...

Not like it matters. People will buy BLOPS 2 in droves with or without HD textures. I'm predicting 6 mill the 1st day and it'll more than likely outsell its predecessor as usual. Now the question really is...how long can activision keep this up? Will MW4 sell more than BLOPS2? How about BLOPS3 vs MW4? It just seems like a never ending series. Its almost like a sports game lol

We should really kill off the term "hardcore gamer" its getting old and can never be universally defined.

But as far as the Wii U attracting those kind of gamers Its up to the gamers themselves....to some it doesn't matter what Nintendo does, they're not interested and to others they may give it a shot. Me personally I plan on eventually getting one but I also owned a Wii, NES and N64 so I've been a Nintendo fan for sometime so I wouldn't fall under ...

Only about half of the games on the list are viable go-to games to recommend to non-gaming friends. I'm pretty shocked CoD wasn't on there.

Its not a shooter. I get it. The constant comparisons felt a bit unnecessary. Other than that its a good read and the game looks pretty cool. Nintendoland seems like it will provide decent value as a pack in

Nerds? LOL you are on a gaming site homie.

And in response to your comment "I think its the best Madden yet" have you ever played Madden 2004, 2005, or 07 on the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube? Last gen Maddens had some of the most robust feature sets ever in a football game.

Madden is a whole nother beast. They simply don't capture the essence of the NFL the way their very own studio captures college ball in NCAA Football. Madden added some nice things this year but to me its overshadowed by what they took out of franchise mode, still no halftime show and still no post game show. Overall Madden just doesn't create that illusion or immersion the way NHL, The Show or NBA 2K does.

When you play those other games sometimes you can mistake it ...

Case and point of naysayers of the CoD community would be comments such as yours.

I'm actually liking the Wii U's exclusive line-up so far. They all seem to be videogames rather than interactive cinematic movie/games (nothing against those kinda games as I enjoy them as well, but I miss the essence of just simply having fun playing a game rather than racing to get to a cutscene). The Wonderful 101 looks like another one of those unique, fun experiences that I'm looking forward to.

Short answer:no

Long answer: If they add enough to the game where its not identical to last years iteration and adds must have features to the games that make it more in depth (I.e. NBA 2K13, MLB 12 The Show, NHL 13) then absolutely. If its almost rinse and repeat and has a barrage of new features that almost get overshadowed by what was taken out from previous iterations then no.

That's the thing, Sony has mascots. Plenty of them they just don't have one solid mascot and haven't had a bonafide mascot since the Crash Bandicoot days. But if you ask me Sackboy is an easy choice with Kratos being a candidate as well. As much as I like Nathan Drake I just don't see him as a viable mascot.

When I think of a videogame mascot you think of something sort of fantasty like or at least not necessarily "realistic" per say. Something with ...

@Jazz4108

I don't think an ad about the army and a TV Show has much to do with gaming.

Not a very good comparison considering "rap" is extremely broad. Its an expansive artform derived from poetry. CoD is a videogame about the military and isn't ever about anything else and isn't broad at all. When someone says "I'm playing CoD" you know exactly what they're playing. But when someone says "I'm listening to rap" you don't know exactly what they're listening to. I see where your coming from saying the stereotypes are bad b...
