The last thing we need is another Japanese cult classic turning into a westernized also-ran. Wouldn't shock me if this game will have some kind of shooter elements, or becomes a flat out shoooter LOL I expect a lot of cutscenes and an overall movie-driven experience.

Have to disagree here. While I don't hate God of War (I'm a huge fan!) I don't believe that people would hate it because its western. If a game is great, its great. It doesn't matter who made it or its origins. I also don't believe that Ninja Gaiden and DMC are dead just yet...they both have games coming out soon and I think both titles will redeem themselves from their most recent disappointing efforts (just IMO).

Wow that combo would be a dream lol imagine how dope that would be. Darksiders did a good job blending Zelda/ God of War/ Prince of persia and a little Banjo Kazooie. That game played like a dream. (The sequel anyways)

Not sure why its a big deal that Nintendo is region locking the Wii U. The 360, PS3, Wii and pretty much every other system other than the Neo Geo were region locked. Nintendo isn't "losing it" but people are just looking for a reason to complain. I was hoping it wouldn't be region locked but c'mon who is surprised by this?
Man I miss the late 90s. 3d platformers were so much fun and different and unique in their own way. Sure, a good amount of them were Mario 64 clones but they were some of my favorite games. The genre is now overshadowed by dark gritty shooters and are labeled as "kiddy" but I, for one, would love to see a few more games like 3d platformers or games that don't take themselves so seriously. You know what I agree. Nintendoland has potential and its way deeper than Wii Sports was and its also a pack in for the deluxe so your saving $10. I do believe that Nintendoland is an important game for the Wii u, I'm not so sure how it'll sell on its own being $59.99. I guess they want most people getting the deluxe model.
