From a business perspective it makes sense. You gotta keep in mind that they will most likely heavily advertise the system closer to launch and they'll want that same "casual" crowd to buy their new system along with other semi-casual gamers (regular 'core' gamers who don't visit game sites or watch reviews or previews) who will rely on adverts to hear new info on games. So in order to get them to buy it it'll have to be somewhat available to them, I think Ninten...
Well said. Although I do believe they (Xbox 360 & PS3) picked it up towards the tail end of this Gen, helped particularly with slimline models and numerous bundles, and it ultimately helped Sony close the gap some and Microsoft to expand. As far as Wii goes I like what it did for gaming, opening up new doors for more people to enjoy this hobby we all love but what I disliked about Wii was the online functions were pretty primitive and the obvious (lack of 3rd party support, Nintendo givin...
It has been confirmed for 8 meters. How that is considered "short" is beyond me. In any case, why would you be sitting that far away from the system to begin with?
One can only imagine the possibilities.
Then again not everyone plays videogames for the same reasons you do. Not everyone is looking to get the best out of the hardware the Wii U provides but rather just enjoy themselves, whether its Mario or ZombiU. The name of the hobby to some is still entertainment. Besides its a GAME not a movie they're primarily meant to be played not JUST watched.
Read the piece on it in the new GI I think this NSMB may exceed your expectations. And $15 comparable platformers? LOL please do name the ones that provide as much content as NSMBU
I can tell the difference.
Yes I assume that would be the case but if they truly wanted to be fair and 100% neutral they would list great looking games that are more of an art style than pushing realism a la skyward sword and Mario Galaxy. Just my 2 cents.
As could Uncharted but I think it fits the "action adventure" genre better.
Now a game like gears of war, that's pretty much a straight up TPS with little to no genre bending. And that's not a bad thing, its a terrific game series.
@nevin1 Madden 13 is an initial 8th-gen title for the Wii U. Just as Madden 06 was an initial 7th Gen title for Xbox 360
Still complaining and trolling Nintendo on every article? Smh. We get it. You don't like the Wii U, or Nintendo, moving on...
It SHOULD be but it wont be it'll just be a simple port. To me its a win just simply getting all the same features current Gen systems have, seeing as tho EA sports loves to gimp their initial next Gen sports titles (looking @ you NBA Live 06, Madden 06, and Madden 13)
The content in metroid blast alone makes nintendoland a decent value as a pack-in. Wish it had online multiplayer but it will suffice. Its a good little baby gears of war with the horde mode and deathmatch. It looks dope.
I would hope its an HD power stone but that's just wishful thinking. It most likely is resident evil and lost planet. Maybe Okami? That'd be ideal for the gamepad.
Current Gen price for a next-gen system. That point alone proves it isn't overpriced.
Yeah its more like 10.1 equivalent but either way they can't use Microsoft's API so there is no directX compatibility technically.
Remote play IS a Nintendo thing man LOL I know its easy to forget the gamecube days, but the cube wouldn't have sold the little it did had it not had the GBA player. You could also use your gameboy as a controller. That feature alone had me interested in the gamecube and I was a PS2 fanboy and also owned an Xbox but didn't look twice at GC.
When it comes to Tekken selling better on PS3, I would have to agree with you. Tekken is still a PlayStation game to me. Its sti...
Xbox 360 and PS3 selling in the 100 mill range within the next 2 years while console and game sales have been consistently declining for several months? Keep dreaming kid.
About the Wii U part, the 5 mill is woefully low but I do think 10-15 is in the ballpark
Looks pretty good. Xbox live is still #1(IMO, for now anyways) but ill tell you what Nintendo TVii integrates a new refreshing seamless dual screen experience that you can't get anywhere else and it kinda compensates the lack of blu ray support. So while to some Xbox live is better, this is a nice unique experience for Nintendo and is more than viable
Great point! But I'm not so sure Nintendo themselves ever came out and said "you can play anywhere with this thing" it was more of an emphasis on simply being able to stream games directly from the TV to the gamepad alone. I didn't hear much, if anything, about it having a very large range nor did I hear Nintendo touting it. Either way one would think since they bring the feature up that it would be able to have far range so I see where your coming from. But you know what th...
