Crash Bandicoot MUST be in this game, plain and simple. The other characters such as Snake, Sora, Cloud and Spyro are also must-haves but the original PlayStation mascot deserves to be in this game more than any other classic character (IMO)
No multiplayer offline franchise or editing or custom rosters in franchise mode was a deal breaker for me. The overall gameplay was solid tho its a slight improvement from last year, but not a $60 improvement (IMO)
It'll be interesting that's for sure. I hope it fares better than OnLive, in fact I think its actually featuring OnLive on the system somehow.
From a logical standpoint it is.
The less Cliff talks the better.
Very fair. I can understand where he's coming from. I wouldn't fully jump on if I needed more details either. However, I personally have seen enough to warrant a purchase but that's just me. I was gonna buy it anyway so my opinion isn't the best one to hear regarding whether or not to get it.
I thought bulletstorm was fun and creative however I think the lackluster story and immature dialogue was a bit of a flaw with the game. The cursing isn't an issue but the ridiculous amount within the game was unnecessary. "Kill your dick" LOL I think the game was aimed more toward the teenage crowd. However one thing you can't say about bulletstorm is it was generic. The game was unique in its own way, something we need desperately in the oversaturated FPS genre.
Really? People don't think the Wii had any core titles? OK I see we don't have many gaming enthusiasts on here, that's cool.
The PS3 did have full backward compatibility at launch though, just as the Wii U does. And the PS3 could play PS1-PS2 and other downloadable games(tho not at launch like the Wii U has new classics) but I agree with you for the most part
@sticktwiddlers
By that logic then it would be an issue with the Xbox 360 and PS3 as well. Same goes for any videogame console. It comes with the territory of gaming, you don't HAVE to buy extra accessories (hence the word accessories) you can get them if you want them. When it comes to games, yes you have to buy extra games but that isn't an expense unique to the Wii U so my point still stands. It is still nitpicking because the "issues" presented are overa...
I suppose the next PlayStation and Xbox are the future then right?
Bottom line is we need all 3 companies to thrive as fans of gaming.
The thing is, you said you didn't even really know about the first one. That implies you didn't know it came out or what it entailed. Then you said you did know about it but wasn't interested (nothing wrong there) but you seriously can't call yourself a gaming enthusiast (I don't use the term 'hardcore gamer' cuz it has no true definition) if you don't at least know about the new games whether your interested or not I think that's what WiiUAlpha was getting...
Depends on what you mean by "hardcore gamer" the Wii had plenty of 'core' titles (games that have depth, not just minigame compilations or fitness games) you just have to be aware of them. They're there, people just aren't educated on it. Does the Wii have tons of shovelware? Absolutely. Does that mean it has no solid titles? No.
It depends on what your into. But if your a gaming enthusiast or an overall fan of gaming then you can't dismiss the W...
Agreed. Not sure why an adult with their own money would ask this question. All of s sudden affordability is an issue with Nintendo but not with other more expensive electronic entertainment devices. Smh, I think they're just trying to nitpick negatives with the console at this point. We all know the Wii U will have its advantages and disadvantages but I don't think price is a negative here considering the deluxe bundle value. Maybe the basic should be 249.99 but he price is perfect(I...
Good to hear more games supporting this feature. Its a nice addition to console gaming.
@metroid32
The Wii U is actually getting a watered down port of Madden 13 (smh @ EA Sports) but all the rest of those games you listed will be at least as good as the PS3/360 versions.
Not sure how you have 4 bubbles with your consistent trolling of Nintendo.
Not bad but I'd put F-Zero and Metroid up there. I think those games would be tailor made for the gamepad. In Metroid obviously with all the puzzles and extras and then f-zero could be played on the controller screen alone.
Absolutely! Most Of us have been asking for that for ages but I think Nintendo said Pokemon will always only be a handheld experience as far as the main RPG games. I really hope they change their minds. How deep could Pokemon be with the gamepad? Soo many possibilities.
This Gen is pretty much a wrap. even with the consistent sales decline of the Wii, it won this generation, moving on to the 8th Gen, finally!
