Me: "As for the other games, I'm sorry to say but some of those games were considered good looking in the day."

Gav: "At least you apologised for not knowing what you're talking about. Apology accepted."

Talk about not reading things properly, but judging from your response, are you retarded or something? And how about posting some of the reviews "at that time" to lend credence to your claims? Douchebag.

Would've done that if only he hadn't called out my report in the comments section (that's what the disagree section is for in the reports). :)

I'm no fan of the Vitality Sensor (actually, I'm not anything of it - I have no idea how it works or what games it supports). But that an XBox site would take the chance to rant about and lampoon anything related to Nintendo? I expect to see this kind of stuff in humour, not on a games journalism site where professional ethics are meant to apply.

It's one thing that a 360 site isn't a reliable source for anything Nintendo related, but when they prattle out th...

Okay, explain me this: How is that Disgaea is considered to have terrible graphics? You're blatantly subscribing to the point that 3D graphics are automatically better than 2D graphics. The issue is way too complex to simply dismiss as one being better than the other. It's like saying cel-shaded graphics aren't as great as realistic graphics, when in fact it's a matter of how the aesthetics of both are suited to a game or not.

As for the other games, I'm s...

Wasn't this the same guy who refused to take off his sun-glasses during the Kinect games unveiling at Microsoft's conference? Also, considering how the Wii has about twice the market share of the 360 and several more AAA games on the way, I doubt he's an authority on telling us what it has and has not fulfilled in it's lifespan.

Zelda 16? Sounds like they didn't even know the name was "Skyward Sword". And DMC5 in production kind of sticks me as old news. Maybe this is a pre-E3 issue of GI?

5706d ago 20 agree0 disagreeView comment

It may be there as a rumour in GI but until the developers actually say it, I'm going to continue being skeptical. After the pre-E3 rumour flood, the last thing I'm going to be doing is blindly believing whatever rumour comes up, no matter the source.

Though I agree with much of the piece, I have to admit, I found one particular instance of satire to be indispensable:

"At one point, John finds himself in a standoff with a group of Mexican men, guns out and pointed at one another. 'There must be a name for this,' says one of the them. 'There is,' says John. 'It's called an impasse.'"

For fans of John Woo movies, you'll see where the satire is. ;)

What is it with you and Tobey Maguire?

I report every single GamesThirst article/news story as "Lame". Simply because they've got nothing to offer but flamebait. They do these kinds of stories all the time, trying to pander to both sides of the N4G fence for hits:

I was speaking about games in general but okay.

Edit@Ghost_Sparta: True. Ah well.

Some reviews criticized Alan Wake by saying it was in development for too long - didn't help that the game wasn't the masterpiece it was meant to be (but that it was just good). Even with GT5, I expect those reviewers who aren't over-whelmed by it to use the "Took 6 years to develop!" as an excuse to rate it down.

Like all games - for your preferred console of choice or otherwise - wait till they release before declaring them the best of anything.

5707d ago 1 agree17 disagreeView comment

So should I report your story as duplicate, if you're just going to fall back on other's opinions and not provide your own substantial argument? I'm not concerned with what other gamers think in terms of "graphics" or whether a style suits my tastes or not. If I was, I would never have given games like Wind Waker and Killer 7 a try.

You seem to be doing little more than pandering for hits with your "article".

Here we go again.

The art style is the worst the author has ever seen in a Zelda game? I doubt he's seen the CDi Zelda games. And his main point of contention is lame - tons of people stated that Wind Waker had a bad art style, and it turned out to be one of the best titles for the Gamecube, one of the best Zelda games and one of the best games of it's generation. Nit picking on Zelda is a fruitless effort, and for his limited understanding of video game aesthetics, r...

Haven't watched the interview yet but I remember Taylor from that Vidoc she did for Bungie. As she as annoying and cheesy here?

5707d ago 4 agree5 disagreeView comment

They've been flailing for a long while actually. Many of their titles like the SaGa games, Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant and more have been underwhelming efforts, and since the FFXIII fiasco their reputation seems to be going further down the drain. As such SE is earning it's due (FFXIII grossed more than 5 million copies worldwide since it's released on both platforms), but we've yet to see a hardcore JRPG from them, one who's systems don't play themselves.

Now Max Console, another flamebait site, is exploiting the "breakout story" system of N4G to steal other people's hard work for hits. This nonsense has got to stop.

5707d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Oh, it's fairly simple. There's a system on N4G which allows for "breakout stories" where a site can give focus to what was said in an interview, making it into a separate story. This is done when the interviewee may have said something important that may have been overlooked.

The problem is, GamesThirst CONSTANTLY does breakout stories. Hardly a single news of theirs is original (and when it is, it's lying garbage or flamebait articles) and they use the...
