I really enjoyed it too but the critics hated it with a passion for some reason. Too masculine I expect, I know that sounds like a dumb reason but I suspect it was for a few of them.
Single player games may not be dying but they are falling into a cookie cutter like pattern where original ideas and concepts are verboten or they have become interactive movies. I understand it as these things are more guaranteed to bring in sales but I am not encouraged. Most of the single player games I have enjoyed this gen have been indie games like Rhyme or What Remains of Edith Finch, games that don't seem to care for the latest trends or what has worked in the past or trying to be...
Despite what some people say Quantum Break was a very good game as were the Alan Wake games so I'm looking forward to this. Just hope that it isn't too much of a copy and paste of QB but even if it is QB with paranormal I'm sure it will still be good as Remedy has yet to put out a bad game.
Quick guys grab a pitchfork or torch as you pass. Amy... you were the chosen one Nooooooooo!!!
Though it's not quite the same I always think of the Master in Assassins Creed 1. All the people who you assassinate tell you before they die that maybe you are on the wrong side and they are only trying to help humanity and it turned out at the end they were right!
It was one of my favourite games of this gen, don't get the hate for it.
Haven't played BotW but UC4 definitely needs to be on that list, I can't believe people like that game.
Really? Some of the latter boss fights were really hard and the platforming to get there super tricky even if you had maxed out agility.
Most of the work was done during the original Xbox's generation and the first 2 or 3 years of the 360 when Mattrick was not in charge. Mattrick's influence would have been seen in the last 2 years of the 360 and the first few years of the Xbox One.
I don't know if you are ignorant or deliberately trolling but Phil thinking there is no money to made selling physical consoles is true as they usually are sold at cost. The money is made from things like Live, Gold and a cut from games sold on the platform. I think only Nintendo makes a slim profit on selling the actual console.
Mattrick however according to Seamus didn't think the Xbox would work as a product at all which has proven to be false in every way which is ironic ...
He also said Crackdown needed more work/polish and it didn't have the expected feel so sent the team back to do more work. He hasn't said this about Gears.
He said that Crackdown needed more work and polish and it didn't feel how he wanted so he sent the team back to do more work on it.
From memory he said crackdown 3 needed some polish and didn't feel how he wanted it to feel so he gave them more time.
Agreed, he has never bucked the trend always goes with the popular opinion, it's why he is big. I haven't played Anthem and I enjoy the entertainment value of Joe but I have never taken his reviews seriously whether he agrees with me or not. I'm surprised people do tbh.
I don't take anyone seriously who is terrible at actually playing games as Joe is. Then again the loading time issue could be extremely aggravating but it was probably happening a lot more to Joe than the average player lol.
I agree and it doesn't usually take 6 months as the OP said maybe a month if they have done a beta stress test. People here are so anti MP because they tend to be PS players and bend their knee to everything single player. I like both so don't care.
Never is a hell of a long time, hyperbole much?
The metacritic I use is how much fun I have playing a game. I don't go in with preconceived notions or care what others say unless I know that they have played it and they have near identical opinions about games to me (which is very rare).
Most people bagging this game on sites like this have never played it. I think having fun with a game has become a dead thing and social media has made it about what you SHOULD be finding fun rather than what actually IS fun.
People here acting like it's ok to be an asshat lol. It's ok to say what you don't like and what you want changed in a civil manner but jumping on the hate train and being a twat is more about you than Bethesda.
Most of America either lives in or near a major city. It's also an option, physical consoles with games either downloaded locally or on discs will be around for the foreseeable future.
