Watching the vid it appears the team is run by the Madureira and Stefanelli and has a lot of the team pre THQ so it would be the same core group of people give or take who made the first 2 games. The 3rd game is made by a different bunch of people.
Looking forward to this, after playing the first game I was always trying to recapture that magic but felt 2 & 3 never quite got there. They mention that they are trying to create a game more like the twin stick shooter Lara Croft games and because I'm a big fan of those games I am more excited about playing a DS game since the original game out.
I just played the campaign and a few rounds of horde and escape and loved the game. It's almost like the more you offer the more you set yourself up for criticism and to avoid this make a really simple game without multiplayer and your chances of getting good reviews goes up.

Yes, it was a fan fest/gamepass hybrid show with a few smaller exclusives sprinkled in there (though the Rare game may be something more substantial) so I agree it wasn't very focused and MS always comes across as corporate in their delivery which is something they have to work on. I would have loved to have seen bigger AAA titles announced but even though I hate to say it we probably won't see any of those until next E3.

I don't get what you are trying to say, that because other games were nominated Gears shouldn't be? I'm also surprised Metro Exodus wasn't nominated or Days Gone for that matter. I personally would take out RE2 out even though i enjoyed it a lot but it's a remake and doing nothing new though what it did do was of very high quality. Can't speak for the rest of the games nominated as I didn't play them to completion.
I'm not sure what people expected from XO19. I just saw it as a fan fest type of thing and wasn't expecting anything so was pleasantly surprised to see any new exclusives. I have the feeling other people were expecting a full E3 type presentation where Xbox blew their load announcing every new blockbuster for the next 10 years.

2 hours is instant gratification now? A game is lucky if I give it 30 minutes to impress me and that's if I'm feeling generous. You have to draw the line somewhere or you could be 60 hours in and still waiting and I think 2 hours is a totally fair call.

Yes, especially with the success of Plague Tale and the fact that they are developing Flight Simulator. Maybe in the future if FS is well received.
This has been a long time coming, looks interesting and a lot more fleshed out than the reveal a couple of years ago.

How about we just separate games into enjoyable games and not so enjoyable games. I don't even know if I am playing a GaaS or not half the time I just know whether it is good or not and that is the only thing that matters to me.
For me this was the best TR, more tombs and exploring and less combat plus the visuals are up there with the very best this gen.

As UltraNova mentioned the quickest way to disprove it is to look at Wasteland 3 when it comes out and compare it to Wasteland 2, if it's obvious that less money has been spent on it and it was rushed for a cash grab then you might have an argument but at the moment it just sounds like hate rant and it doesn't matter what MS does you will hate them.
