For people expecting GTA V in the west then yes I can see it being a chore to play, I expected a western sim and that was what I got so I'm happy. It's not without it's bugs and flaws but for a detailed world so large and interactive it still fills me full of wonder at how they managed to create it (100's of employees, millions of dollars and years of development is probably the answer)
It's been overstated for some reason, it is slightly sluggish but nothing terrible, I can't figure out why people are making a big deal out of it.
It better win game of the year, nothing else comes close.
If you have a 4K TV then hell yeah if not then no.
You can go into the settings and change it to toggle.
It's an awesome series.I play it like a 3D platformer with cover acting as a platform which I use to move across the arena. The bosses are top notch and I like the unashamed cheesy story lines. One of the best series I've played.
The first episode was cringey but it got better as it went but yeah they could have got rid of it and I wouldn't have cared. Really enjoyed the actual game though.
It's a good game, lots of tombs and puzzles with beautiful graphics but the story kinda dies in the second half and gets a bit bogged down with heavy stealth. Even though I think it is the weakest of the 3 games I think it is a least a 8 out of 10 and definitely worth the money.
It's an option and not meant to take over physical consoles. They have spoken at length about this before as some countries who they want buying and playing their games don't have a modern robust internet service. It's all about money and they don't want to miss someone's dollars just because they don't have a 100mbps connection.
Never happen, when they say any device they mean PC, console (xbox), tablets and phones not PS4 and Switch. They always give themselves wiggle room to mean what they want, people usually call it corporate speak.
If you can afford it play this game as it's very good. There is plenty of time to play it and Spiderman and RDR this year. It's easily the best looking game I've ever seen and the focus on exploration and the stunning puzzle tombs over combat is a refreshing change for the series.
TLDR; It is because that until 2014 Sony was a shareholder in Square and told them not to release it on competitor consoles.
Stop defending and deflecting for your corporate overlords sony fanboys you are just embarrassing yourselves.
Totally agree, I nearly threw the controller against the wall when I was playing Crash Bandicoot as Nathan with my girlfriend while having a coffee on the sofa. It was a whole chapter where I did FA except hit the X button twice!!!! Was I playing a game or an interactive movie? and there were so many chapters like that. It's an alright game with some clever dialogue but the praise it gets is undeserved imo, in many ways it's like a walking simulator.
It's more Zelderish than UC. TR is more open world and places more emphasis on puzzles, upgrades, skills and supernatural enemies. Some tombs or secrets you can't get to until you discover a skill or unlocked something so in that way it is far more like Zelda while UC is more like a climbing simulator with a wise cracking story and stellar graphics..
There should be scores for multiple factors, one for what the game is trying to do and how successfully it was in doing it, it's fun factor, graphics, sound, originality and story. Some of the better reviewers do this but nowhere near enough.
I have gamed for a long time and what I have noticed is that recently like in the last 10 or 15 years or so reviews have become more opinion based editorials and politics, preference and fan boyism have come into it far more than in the past...
Both
Everything is brighter in the 2018 vid but shadows and reflections have been turn down or off as there is much more of both in the 2017 version. Maybe textures look a bit better in the 2018 over the 2017 and oh yes the lady has a cardigan in the 2018 vid so cardigan upgrade confirmed.
The article is dumb, has the author never heard of rechargeable batteries? I have a charger plugged in right next to where I game and it takes me less than a minute to swap them out every few weeks, I don't understand what the big deal is. If the controller has an inbuilt battery and it starts losing charge I have to buy a new controller but if my rechargeable batteries die I buy some new ones.
He says several times that the management team was more worried about money than the games they were making and that was his problem with them. That makes sense if they were reliant on Kick Starter funding, maybe under MS they now don't have to worry about money so much.
