As long as you have complete like sweet baby ink who are just ruining gaming with their stupid ideas and pushing certain ideologies and agendas there's nothing that can change unless gaming in general gets rid of people like these and simply block them from ever getting any work in gaming because their thing is not to make gaming better their thing is to burn down the gaming industry to push their agendas

I’m a minority myself, and I strongly believe in equal opportunit...

I understand the argument that if fans truly wanted a sequel to Days Gone, they should've supported it at launch at full price. But that perspective misses a lot of important context.

First of all, Days Gone launched in a broken state. It needed several patches just to become stable and playable. For many gamers, paying $60 for something clearly unfinished just wasn’t justifiable. That wasn’t a lack of support—it was a fair response to a product that didn’t meet expecta...

This is what can happen when a company known for its story-driven, single-player, critically acclaimed games—titles that have consistently sold millions of copies—suddenly shifts focus toward live service models. Sony saw the massive ongoing revenue generated by games like Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends, and understandably wanted a piece of that market. But chasing trends can come at a cost.

There’s a lot to reflect on here. Sony acquired Insomniac Games for $256 million—...

I think that would be smart but with how MS are handling gears we may see them bring 1 game at a time and charge $50 for each. I wss hoping for a complete gears of war collection

Gears 1-5 all dlx & Gears judgement for $80 but instead we get 1 game. Just like Sony are remastering and remaking games we will see MS now do the same

I don't wonder for how long will MD try to sustain this model before giving up and going back to traditional business model in gaming. If by 2030 there are 50 million monthly active users I could see them making major changes. It's an amazing service for gamers but in AAA space it's really hard to keep pumping money into something that's not returning major profits

that’s not how this industry works anymore.

Year after year, we watch these publishers break revenue records, post massive profits, and hand out even bigger bonuses to CEOs — and yet, they still lay off thousands of developers. It’s not about needing more money. It’s about never being satisfied with the money they already have.

Raising prices won’t stop consolidation. It just raises the price tag on the next acquisition. If anything, higher prices validat...

GTA6 standard edition will be $99.99

Deluxe edition with maybe 3 days early access will be $139-$149

Yes it may sell less copies I doubt it but they will generate way more Revenue GTA V sword for $60 how many people do you think will pay the $139 or $149 just to have Early Access I would imagine there will be millions of people because they have been waiting for GTA 6 for so long now

Let’s talk about the real story behind the Switch 2 launch — and the state of the gaming industry in general.

Despite what Nintendo and retailers wanted everyone to believe, the Switch 2 wasn’t truly sold out on launch day. The hype machine made it sound like you needed to line up early, get a ticket, and pray you were one of the lucky few. But reality? Plenty of stores had stock all day — you could just walk in and grab one. This wasn’t scarcity. It was ...

There’s been a lot of debate about whether Xbox Game Pass cannibalizes game sales, especially for first-party titles. The truth is, Microsoft (MS) is still experimenting with the Game Pass model — trying to find the sweet spot between subscriber growth and traditional game sales.

Some titles perform extremely well despite launching day one on Game Pass. Others struggle to gain traction. Timing, genre, marketing, and competing releases all play a role. For instance, if a gam...

There was no deal the developers themselves said that along with industry insiders like Jeff grubbs said there was no deal. Why is it so hard to accept the fact XSS and Xbox parity clause are the reason many game studios skip releasing their games on Xbox. XSS has held back this whole generation and I hope next Xbox console is just 1 sku

Official Statements and Development Challenges

The developer, Game Science, has stated that the delay in releasing the Xbox version was due to optimization challenges, particularly with the Xbox Series S. They emphasized that the delay was not due to any exclusivity agreements

However, other industry insiders, such as Jeff Grubb, have stated that there was no exclusivity deal in place. Grubb mentioned that Sony did not have a ma...

You were talking about Forza vs GT and all of the sudden you threw in TLOU when your arguments had to many hole in it

GT gives free updates while forze horizon doesn't. We as gamers should be celebrating when a studio does right by gamers. As far as TLOU goes Sony just doesn't give a damn what we as in you and me think. Just releasing the remake and remaster around the launch of new seasons moved millions of copies. That's what Sony ca...

Christopher, just to clarify — I'm not trying to be overly negative or dismissive. I fully acknowledge that CD Projekt Red was transparent when they switched from third-person to first-person and even re-demoed the game to reflect that. Credit where it’s due — they did show that change publicly.

But the real issue for me is how the game launched. Despite that transparency earlier on, they deliberately withheld gameplay from the console versions and still charged full pr...

What about the fact CDPR showed gameplay behind closed doors which wasn't real? They dusnt allow anyone to bring their phones or any tech so once media came out of that gameplay reveal CP2077 was hyped to the moon and back. CDPR didn't show console gameplay so let's not act like they were transparent when they switched from 3rd to 1st person when they lied at launch of the game

Really looking forward to Sony's State of Play. It's always exciting to see what surprises might be in store, even though expectations should probably be kept in check.

A lot of Sony’s major first- and second-party studios are likely still deep in development. Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, and Insomniac are working on known projects, so it's probably too early for any big reveals from them. Bend and Bluepoint recently scrapped their live-service titles, so we like...
