Just don't expect the plot to make much sense...
Epic Store has privacy and security issues; it was taking private info from Steam files; it pays for exclusivity which by itself sucks for consumers but also in many cases when the games were already advertised in Steam or presales/crowdfunding promised Steam keys; program has much fewer options; chinese companies have 40% of shares of Epic Games; another place to divide our library of games in; the supposedly lower cut from sales doesn't translate to lower prices so no advantages for con...
Will there be random battles in this area? Exploration with random battles is just annoying.
I used to be a SEGA fanboy when I was a child, but after I grew up and saw all the stupid decisions and mistakes, I changed my opinion.
It's not only "just buying from another place", but trusting a company with your game.
Every digital purchase is a risk. You don't own the game, so if the company decides to shut down the store or even if it goes bankrupt, your games are gone. That's why I don't buy anything from Origin. It baffles me that a company that f**** so much with their clients, still has people who trust them to keep the games.
Even Steam gives us that ...
I bought a PS3 because of this game, it's one of my favorite games of all time, but I won't support Epic Games Store's exclusivity.
I was ready to buy it, just waiting for the confirmation that it would have controls like the Wii version. Since it doesn't, I won't buy it.
I'm working on Octopath Traveler now. I want to finish it before the Break, Boost and Beyond concert in the end of july.
Not a big loss, but it makes me wonder if a video with less than two minutes really has 1.4GB, making it more than 20% bigger than the rest of game!
It makes me remember that in the first Sonic game, the "SEGA" intro sound was bigger than the rest of the game.
I was really hoping for motion controls, but... Oh, well, the Wii version is still the best version.
Do people really like this game? The slot system was terrible. I couldn't endure being interrupted mid-fight to see the slot animation, especially when the slots didn't match and it was just wasted seconds.
I'm still looking for a great game for mobile, that's made to be played in short bursts. Especially nowadays, they're basically "Watching ads simulator", or "gacha and microtransactions paradise".
I tried some ports of old RPGs, and Stardew Valley, but they were made for console/PC gaming, and really don't fit into the "to be played in short bursts" idea.
@HighlyDoubtful
Even if you just want the costumes for your favorite characters, since it's RNG, it may take a looooong time for you to get them. There's no excuse for this terrible decision.
It's sad the way Square treats this IP.
Haha I was going to write exactly that. People here just assumed the article said it was better because of portability, and they keep saying that it doesn't make a game better to play, while it wasn't even the reason the author gave!
I live in Tokyo and I saw people playing with switch in trains and at the lunch area in the building I work at.
Give me Code Veronica's remake!
The headphone jack was a great idea. Every console and even PC should have it!
The touchpad... not so much. I don't remember a single time it was used in a good way, or that a (much smaller) button wouldn't have been enough for the same task. It's basically a big and useless button that takes most of the controller space.
People still trust in EA. How cute.
People are expecting Cyberpunk 2077 to be The Best Game Ever®, but let's not forget that although The Witcher 3 was indeed one of The Best Games Ever®, it was the only truly great game from the studio. It still doesn't have a stellar track record, and I think that people who forget this and expect something as good as or better than Witcher 3 may end up disappointed.
... Although it does make more sense to be excited for this, since CD Projekt does seem t...
