"Sony's the prettier cousin. . The younger cooler one"
... that keeps trying to copy everything his older cousin does.
Epic Store has privacy and security issues; it was taking private info from Steam files; it pays for exclusivity which by itself sucks for consumers but also in many cases when the games were already advertised in Steam or presales/crowdfunding promised Steam keys; program has much fewer options; chinese companies have 40% of shares of Epic Games; another place to divide our library of games in; the supposedly lower cut from sales doesn't translate to lower prices so no advantages for con...
They should give up on Epic Store exclusivity...
There have been some indie rhythm games, especially for mobile, but they all seem and feel generic, even their soundtrack. Instead of interesting graphics and good songs, they just put a hundred songs that all sound the same in a bland setting.
I hope Nintendo keeps making Rhythm Heaven, maybe the only great rhythm game series still alive.
About the game, I just heard about the Trust system and the producer said "there have been voices that we’ve heard that say XIV is not their cup of tea only because of the multiplayer elements and you have to play with other people. Or they don’t want to go through some of the content that requires for them to party up with other people."
It's good to see that even if people scoffed at me for saying that, complaining actually had an effect. I'll probably g...
Heavy Rain was just release. One of the best games of all time. If it was released on Steam or GOG (but not Origin) I'd already have bought it. But since it's Epic Store exclusive, I won't even look at it.
I would be more excited if SEGA hadn't re-released these games so many times. Right now I can open Steam and play many (if not all) games that comes with it. And the biggest Genesis game (Sonic 3 and Knuckles) isn't even in the package. I'd be more excited for a Saturn or Dreamcast mini.
I hope all Stardew Valley fans who don't know about Rune Factory give it a chance to find out the true king of the farming/RPG genre.
I tried playing FFXIV alone (like I did with World of Warcraft and a few others), but to progress the story (and access important options like mounts and storage) we have to play through dungeons with other people. That's when I gave up on it. It was a pity, since the story, job mechanics and resource gathering/crafting were really good. But not enough for me to put up with the forced party based dungeons.
If they didn't change the atrocious Battle Rank system and enemy scaling, no soundtrack in the world can save it.
Except for a good price. Even if each game cost 10 dollars (which even so would be very expensive for GB and SNES games), it would cost less than the 40 dollars they're asking for.
Good to know. Let's hope you don't think the talking is excessive like I did.
I will glady go back to buying Xseed games once they change their horrible company rules.
I have the japanese version, and the criticism I have is that there's too much talking in this game. I love that in this series there's actually a plot and objectives (what was my main gripe with Minecraft), but in this second game they went a little overboard.

Because only very few people, including you, think Grandia 3 was good.
"The issue with Epic isn't combating their crap store; it's combating their crap business practices."
Exactly. I actually don't care about the lack of features, but their business decisions (or outright malicious actions like reading Steam files from our PC) make me never want to do anything with their company.
I'm not saying Witcher 1 and 2 weren't good. They were, they just don't fit in the "truly great" category, in both reviews and sales (and also in personal opinion, since I bought them both on release day but never bothered to finished them). I like CD Projekt, or at least how they dealt with PC gaming in general, so I don't want people's expectations to be so high to the point of being unreacheable.
Witcher 3 is a real gem, so right after they ...
I'm more upset about the recent gimmicks like Z-moves and now Dynamax, than expecting them to include all of almost a thousand Pokémon in a single game.
If only they changed the infamous plot twist, reworked the leveling system and enemy scaling, changed the opening that's full of spoilers, and made Squall grow gradually instead of turning into a model hero at the last minute, it could become one of the best games in the series.
