I love Nintendo, but I don't think I will be subscribing to its online service. Although I had a NES as a kid and it gives me nostalgia, I don't want to play any NES game for more than maybe 5 minutes. I didn't even buy the NES mini.

I also don't care about online play, or cloud saves. The "special offer" is still too unclear (and I hate the idea of paying to get discounts).

Cloud appearances in Nintendo consoles:
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (GBA)
Kingdom Hearts: reCoded (DS)
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and Curtain Call (3DS)
Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS)

I loved Fantasy Life, so I decided to try the new Fantasy Life Online in my japanese account. However, I just couldn't think it's fun, because of the free-to-play pitfalls... Pity. Here's hoping for a true sequel.

RE3 wasn't bad at all, but it also didn't do anything to bring the series forward, neither gameplay wise, nor plotwise. That's why it doesn't feel like a sequel.

I agree with most of the list. Maybe I would change Code Veronica and RE3. I think everybody knows the story by now, but CV was the true sequel to RE2, and it was meant to be RE3, meanwhile RE Last Escape, which was supposed to be a spin-off, ended up getting the "3" in its name. And for me, the games show that. RE3 doesn't really feel like a sequel, and I think CV is better in all sides.

Ok, Steve is much more annoying than Carlos, but since they are both for...

Cool. I searched for mods like this one when the game was released, but didn't find any. Now I may give it a second chance!

I'm glad the writer didn't surrender to nostalgia and didn't say 64 is the best one, like some people do. 64 has the most boring (too slow, too long, too wide) tracks in all the series. In the games with tracks from past games, the ones from 64 are what I like the least...

It had an interesting concept, but too many problems to be considered great. I couldn't even finish it, because in my quest to find materials to upgrade weapons (which is another problem of the game - finding those damn materials with enemies that may or not show up), I ended up "overleveling" my characters when comparing to my equipment and skills, and since enemies scaled with your level, they got too powerful and it became impossible for me to beat them. But for the price it ...

The real danger is trusting EA.

If it were just an HD Collection, I would miss the 3D function of the 3DS...

I can't even remember the last time I played a game on PC by mouse and keyboard.

It's not first person perspective? Awesome! Almost all VR games make us control characters in first person, but funnily, my most enjoyable VR (and also 3D) experiences are when we are controlling characters in third-person.

Sadly, I had to pack my Vive to move to another house next week, but I'll try it as soon as I move and unpack everything.

Wait... Do people actually like EA "games" enough for this kind of subscription to exist??

I was thinking about buying it, but I tried the demo, and the joycons had trouble recognizing the "ka" movement. It's something that I feel would really detract from my enjoyment of the game, so I gave up on it.

I still remember when the game was first revealed, when the only information was "you pilot a space ship and there's a huge number of planets", and people already started saying "this will be the best game ever!". The developers did promise some things that were not in the game, but I don't think they could've done anything to prevent disappointment after the huge hype people created by themselves.

Although at first I thought that you were wrong, that Final Fantasy not necessarily needs turn-based combat, I just realized that the last great FF for me was 10, which coincidentally was the last turn-based FF.

@showtimefolks
The middle ground was FF XIII's battle system. Kind of turn-based, but fast paced and controlling just one character. It's awful...

I just didn't like to hear that there really isn't a plot joining them all together, and that there are jobs locked by powerful bosses. I mean, what's the use in having jobs that you won't be able to use until you're already the most powerful being and already beat all the strongest bosses?

I always cringe when I see a negative review on Steam claiming that a platform or adventure game doesn't offer proper keyboard/mouse support.

I don't feel that the lifespan is shrinking, but I do feel that less great games are being released. I mean, I had a ton of PS2 and PS3 games, but I can count on my fingers how many PS4 games I have.
