We get it, you seem to like sitting on forums bringing this up constantly. You do realize that pre-orders for both consoles are sold out right? Who are you targeting with your comment? Because after you have done this about 50 times now it is just a bunch of text on a page. Is it necessary to try and ridicule a console you will never buy and never want to own? Why is that so important to you? Do you get paid by Sony? They should be paying you well. Cause you are really dedicated to tr...

No, that was not on purpose. That is a conspiracy theory.

The first three years of PS3 did not go well at all for developers. The PS3 was very difficult to develop for and game after game was better framerate and better resolution on X360. Plus, many games were delayed for release because of the PS3 development difficulties. These issues were reported upon numerous times early in the PS3 era.

If Sony did do this on purpose it cost them winning the ge...

You do realize that was Crackdown 3 and not Crackdown 2?

To me, Crackdown 2 was the worst Crackdown single player game.

Crackdown 3 was the worst multi-player Crackdown.

I was part of the beta and was impressed by xCloud. So, bought the Razer Kishi controller for my Google Pixel 3 XL phone. I don't use xCloud much, but have enjoyed using it when I can't get at my console easily.

Of all the streaming services, xCloud seems to be the best I have used so far.

I dont know what the issue is. Most cross-platform games (PC/PS/XB) target the lowest common denominator. PC is where the lowest common denominator is right now. And this will be like that for at least 5 years.

People buy devices as their devices become useless and outdated now-a-days. I used to buy two or three devices a year. Now, I struggle to see why I would buy one every 2-3 years. The need just isn't there anymore. Computers/Tablets/Phones/Conso les are mat...

Why do people keep trying to define next gen games by their looks?

Games are made up of much more than just the graphics.

What it proves is that it probably isn't hard to get Bloodborne to run at 60 FPS. Hoopefully, Sony just releases an update to Bloodborne rather then charging gamers to run the game better on PS5.

Agreed. Microsoft has had virtual memory technology (using hard drives as memory) since the Windows NT era of the 1990's

New to consoles maybe, but not new to Microsoft operating systems.

If they are writing the quick resume information to the internal SSD (which helps account for the 200 GB operating system space required) then it makes sense that they could quick resume from any state the console was in,

Unplugged, turned off, etc.

Nice. Like the way the box opens and everything is so easy to just get out. No fighting the box foam, you just hoist it out!

Should be no problem for the boom crane required to hoist these new consoles into their cabinets.

Nope. If they were taking on Sega that would've happen for TGS. I doubt there will be anything new on the studio or publisher front.

Some people are idiots as well.

I would bet XB probably will have an equal list. Backwards compatibility is never perfect.

@CBaoth
When a company is bought out contracts are often renegotiated or even dropped.

I have been involved in many takeovers during my career. MS took this simple and most honorable way to do this takeover. They didn't have to.

They could've just dropped the games and maybe Sony would've sued, but by the time it went through the courts nobody would've cared about the outcome.

If you actually knew anything about business MS could've did lots. They are choosing to honor their commitments which is the right thing to do. From every perspective.... From Sony's perspective they get some timed exclusives. From the development studios perspective they complete a project they put tons of work into. And from Microsoft's perspective they will get the game sales of the new IPs.

I'm with you. In reality this new game is at least 3 years out. It is exciting that they are working on something new, but, in reality it is a while before the game will be real.

I certainly won't rush out and buy a XB Series device for this game yet!

But, I will buy a XSX because there are a bunch of later generation games that I haven't played and are running much smoother and better on XSX.

Ya this article is about GameStop rebuilding its business around Microsoft technology.... Switching their accounting solution to Microsoft Dynamics, adopting Microsoft (Office) 365, and Microsoft Teams.... Using Surfaces as mobile devices within the store, etc.

This is a business buy-in not a gaming buy-in...

The only gaming announcement was what we already knew.... GameStop would be a retailler (essentially) of XB All Access.

The only information that factually backs up what you have said is the last release of games on the Wolfenstein and Fallout franchises. Wolfenstein rebooted this generation and had three consecutive solid releases, then tried something new with Youngblood and it didn't work well. Fallout has had 5 consecutive franchise games spanning multiple generations and had a bad release with Fallout 76.

Yet, Evil Within, Dishonored, Prey, Elder Scrolls Online, and Doom are all a...

Because all the trailer videos to date have been repetitive? I am not sure about shallow though. Shallow in story but not shallow in combat.

You do realize that Bright Memory is an extended version and graphically improved version of the Bright Memory PC game that release in January 2019?

I would hardly call that next gen.
