One is for people who like arcade racing and one is for people who like racing simulators. It doesn't matter what age you are, it comes down to how realistic or how fun you want the gaming experience to be. GT is about realism, Horizon is about fun. At times i play different racers based on my need for fun or realism.

I have no doubts that VR and AR will grow, improve, and hopefully become mainstream. It is all about improving the experience and reducing the cost. Both are happening. I am not at all against AR and VR. I am waiting for a really good product.
I see both AR and VR as niche products.
They are really good, but both are niche.
Their biggest problem is cost and form factor. Neither are overly comfortable and neither is at a price where the masses will buy them.
From the article:
Xbox Series X|S: 103 GB
Xbox One: 116 GB
Windows: 103 GB
Steam*: 103 GB
Personally, I think all these 2 TB drives are overly expensive.
Comparing the cost of the XB and PS compatible NVMe expansions is like comparing the cost of a Lamborghini to a Ferrari (Many 100's of thousands). But the general masses of people buy Mustangs, Camaros ($30-60k) and on the bit higher end Corvettes ($100k).
Also, your link shows the drive without a heat sink. With a heat sink (which is recommended) it is over $600.
LOL...
I find it funny you get disagrees with a comment like that.
The people disagreeing know absolutely nothing about software/game development.
Your comment is spot on.
Ya, when these next gen versions release I will finally play the game I bought last year. No way CDPR gets my money day one again.
Ya, i thought footage meant gameplay, but apparently footage means box art and title screens.
Or people will quit buying PS consoles just like what supposedly happened when XB started putting all their games on PC.
Why buy PS or XB? I can get everything on PC!

I certainly don't believe GP is the greatest thing ever, but it is providing me great value.
Being on GP has nothing to do with respect for gaming. It is a purchasing and ownership model choice just like you can buy blu-rays or or buy digitally or get a streaming service that has the movies you like. They are different purchasing and ownership models. Not everyone wants to collect discs, packaging or permanently own games digitally.
Just like ownin...
@wiz7191
I didn't say the game would be bad. I love Halo, but thinking it will even be in contention for GOTY for 2022 is pretty far fetched.
If it is exceptional I want it considered for GOTY but that is highly unlikely.
@fiveby9
How many Azure subscriptions does MS have? How many Windows sales? How many mouse/keyboard sales?
How many Surface device sales? How many MS 365 subscribers?
MS is a huge company. They sell lots of stuff that they don't release numbers on.
By the end of March everyone will have forgotten about Halo as a 2022 game. It has no chance at GOTY 2022 no matter what it scores. Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, Suicide Squad, Hogwarts Legacy, God of War, Starfield, GT, etc will all ship after Halo and probably most people don't have the memory to capacity to make Halo a GOTY contender in 2022.
@DJStotty
I think they are trying to set expectations and focus on celebrating 20 years of XB. You are correct that they could show new footage of currently being developed games, but personally, I think the expectation should be an XB 20 year recap, not new footage. I would go in with the bar set low.
The article does not mention flagship, exclusive, or new generation in the context of consoles.
Nice that you and midget want to change the subject to something you want to talk about.
From the article:
“While we won’t announce any new games, this anniversary broadcast will be a special look back at 20 years of Xbox. We’ll share more details soon, so stay tuned.”
Looks like just a celebration of the past, not a showing for the forward.
How is it less? Anyone on a XB, PC, iOS, and Android can play xCloud games.
That is a lot more people then just console gamers. I am sure most gamers have one of those platforms to play on. And if they have a good PC they can play the full downloadable version of the game on PC. MS is not locking gamers on other platforms out like bot Sony and Nintendo do. If you want proprietary gaming you choose Sony or Nintendo just like if you prefer proprietary app experiences you...
@Notellin
That actually depends on the configuration settings.
LOL.
The download was only 300.5 MB on XSX. There is a whole lot more downloading before this will be ready to play.
If they actually remade and modernized the games I would be in. This is essentially a remastering, not a remake.
