i can definitely agree that they are the competitors to Forza Horizon, but Forza Horizon just does everything so well. From levelling up, to skill points, to stories, to race types, to online, to the very cool way they take an area of the world and make it seem like you are there (LOL. You must not be playing Forza Horizon because you would know Forza Horizon and GT aren't even comparable games. Second, someone just saying "Forza" knows nothing because there are two franchises Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsports. Both are very different.

I would sure like to know what open-world arcade racer is better then Forza Horizon. I play a lot of racing games on every platform and to me Forza Horizon is the arcade racer to which all others should be measured. I haven't seen anything close to Forza Horizon as an arcade racer or as an open-world racer.

You seem to have a problem with what you think vs reality.
Skyrim 2011, Dishonored 2012, Wolfenstein New Order 2014, Fallout 4 2015, Doom Eternal 2020, and Deathloop 2021 all received GOTY nominations and in some cases GOTY since 2010. There are not many publishers in that timeframe that have done better then Bethesda in getting GOTY nominations/wins.
First, it isn't making this year's cut off date. Second, with Starfield, God of War, GT. Horizon Forbidden West, and possibly Forza Motorsports next year, it will be tough to call GOTY next year.
I would be surprised with 90's. There will be reviewers that rag on it just because it is XB and Halo.
I would expect upper 80's though. 86-89.
There is also the issue of co-op. I love Halo, but I love it more when I am playing co-op. Some reviewers may choose to say because of the lack of co-op they won't give it 90's and above.
The biggest mistake Crystal Dynamics did was making this game. This is by far their worst game, it was put out about three years too soon (that's how much work needs to be put in it to get it to decent game), and it is just a poor implementation of the Marvel Avengers as a game.

I have all three consoles. It is pretty bad the sequelistis syndrome that publishers and developers have.
Yup, sequel after sequel after sequel. Where are the new IPs this generation. We are getting nothing but sequels so far.
Ya, I am both console and PC gamer.... PC Gaming has become a lot easier because I don't have to mess with drivers anymore. But the PC UI is not nearly as simple as console to navigate. And both Windows 10 and 11 has moved to a harder UI, not an easier one. (for TVs that is)

There are a lot of games that had no chance on PS3 and 360. The XBO and PS4 consoles provided a lot more memory to games for more complex AI and large in game scope. Almost every game that only shipped on XBO and PS4 could not be done on previous gen consoles.

The only two games I have seen as next gen so far is The Medium and R&C because of their use of the new fast storage drives. I know of no other games that could not be done on a previous gen console.
Gamers need to get smart. Do not support games like this. I didn't buy it but I have made my fair share of purchase mistakes. No more though. As publishers/Developers have gotten more and more like this I am buying less and less.
Frankly, it is nothing about the one woman hit on the head. It is more about how passively Activision-Blizzard dealt with the issue and all issues that have been brought up. It is good that the world now considers this type of behavior unacceptable.
