I don't see how your post relates to the article? Please explain.
They are talking about the split of hardware sales and you are talking about technical capabilities of the device. Cherry-picking the facts on those capabilities too.
Why isn't this post flagged as off-topic?
It is pretty hard to put something in GOTY when it only sold 560,000 copies after two months of release...

I think if it had good commercial success then it deserved a nomination, but that is a horrible commercial performa...
You are making revisionist history. I had a few X360's. From my first RRoD to the 3rd one, MS replace my console quickly with no questions asked or run around. I was one the first with the problem. Did not see it in news until literally 5 months after my consoles were replaced.
Always on is a red herring issue. Always was, and always will be. All multi-player games require an online connection. By definition online gaming is believe it or not online. I really do...
I just checked my digital purchases and the ones I have bought are ready to install.
If you haven't played it 50 Cent Blood in the Sand was a fun 3rd person shooter as well.
Please provide proof of your conspiracy theory. Why would journalists post opinions made by MS when PS and Switch are clearly leaders and will provide them with the audience that provides clicks and cash.
The problem I see in gaming journalism is that there are a ton of small journalists that are nothing more then fanboys for the big three console manufacturers. You look at some of the so-called "Journalism".... There is fanboyism, spelling mistakes, grammatica...
@Magog
Burnout was a lot of fun, but it gets really repetitive by about the midpoint of the game. I actually have never finished a Burnout game because of its repetitiveness. Came close to finishing Burnout Revenge but, every time I jump back in it reminds me of its receptiveness.
Forza Horizon just has so many different things to do, but like I said, I would love if they added some Burnout race types. In some of the story modes they get you to race to avoid d...
I loved Burnout, but it doesn't hold a candle to Forza Horizon. That said, I would love another race type in Forza Horizon called Last Car Rolling with Burnout style racing. Would also like to see another race mode with cops as well like NFS Hot Pursuit.
@EvertonFC
Forza Horizon is essentially the evolution of PGR. DriveClub did nothing for me but leave a bad taste in my mouth from online being broken for the first two months. Sony did a lot to improve Driv...
How is retail sales a more accurate picture?
@Jin_Sakai
Because physical sales of games and consoles is all that matters to these gamers...
How would sales figures paint a more accurate picture?
Now, what would be a good number would be how much revenue Forza Horizon has accumulated. (What portion of GamePass is allocated to Forza Horizon, how much money in digital sales, and retail sales combined).
Last time I checked I had to pay for my GamePass subscription. So this is not free. I don't automatically download all GamePass games either. I just download games I think I would play.
You aren't hearing these kinds of numbers for all games on GamePass.
Exactly. There is no need for XB fans to be concerned about sales and comparisons to PS5. In the last few months XB owners have been able to play Flight Simulator, Psychonauts 2, and now Forza Horizon 5, then next month Halo Infinite. All (hopefully Halo too) highly rated games and are a variety of different genres for varying tastes. None of these can be played on PS5 currently.
As each year has floated by since they started to buy studios and publishers, XB is getting...
Obsidian, Ninja Theory, inXile, Compulsion, and Double Fine were all indie developers that MS has acquired. Not sure where you get the XB fans don't like indies.
I would also love to see Kameo and Viva Pinata brought back.
My understanding is that he said Starfield is now playable all the way through. That leaves a year of polish. Nice!
To me, there are great IPs at Sega, but it would be a 10 year exercise to modernize them all and get them to a state where they are appealing to the current and future generations of new gamers. I think the partnership they recently announced was smart. But, to buy them I don't think would be smart.
MS could take many billions and make smarter investments in game tech, studios, and hardware.
I think the only meaning in the number is that there are a lot of people that tried the game in this first week (4.5 mln). That is all that should be gleaned from it.
I don't know what more people want. Frankly as a gamer, that is all I care about, gamers that are playing games. A gamer is no less a gamer playing a game whether they bought the game or are playing it on GamePass. To me, they are only less of a gamer if they pirate the game.
And how is that different then any other game?
So they can make it harder to get PS5s at regular retail. Apparently, it is not supplied constrained enough. /s
youtubers are probably more biased then traditional reviewers.
They get their money from watches and sponsors. To get watches up they sensationalize (often for no reason), and sponsors only come if they give sponsors positive reviews.
