They blanket say that all GP games are not forever so yes.
Anyone on GP knows games come and go all the time.
Profitability does not equal long term success.
There is change happening. Games are getting more and more expensive to create. And they are getting more and more expensive to buy. Which is affecting day one sales. While Sony is currently fine with their current approach, I don't know if that approach will cut it long term.
And neither was the Wii.
I like that they are trying to set expectations.
I do not like that time after time they are failing to meet expectations.
CDPR should be taking a new silent approach on things. Announcements on timelines should not be made unless they know it will be met.
I think the world has been in a huge state of change over the past 3-5 decades.
Technology has changed everything and re-written all the rules. And globalization has changed things a ton too.
While I agree that governments are getting too involved, there is also the issue of just letting everything go on its own. There has to be a balance. But, the other thing is the state of people around the world. You look at study after study saying what countries ...
Ya, success is measured in many ways. If they are measuring financial and sales success I think the game was successful.
But, if they are measuring how it built the brand and the community around RE, I think it was very unsuccessful. To me Capcom has a lot of ying and yang. And they build some really great games and IP like Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, Dragon's Dogma, Devil May Cry, etc. But for every great release they have that raises the bar, they seem to do s...
Agreed. At the end of the day the differences between the consoles are pretty insignificant compared to previous generations. But, having these guys do these comparisons keeps the devts and console makers on their toes.
Agreed. Star Ocean is fading. It was once a great franchise but it continues to move south.
And the trailer for the new game did it no favors.
That is factually untrue. I played some Destroy All Humans on xCloud and then on Console itself. I noticed a significant difference in controller lag.
I expect it will keep getting better and better, but right now I see xCloud as a service I can use when I am out and about, or to try a game out before I download it from GamePass.
We can't change the definition of exclusives simply because Sony has started to ship games on PC.
Exclusive means exactly that. It is exclusive to a platform. If you want to say "Console" exclusive I am fine with that, when a game is on more then one platform it can no longer be considered exclusive.
Exclusives are going the way of the dinosaurs. As games become bigger, more expensive and longer to create, publishers including the first ...
@TheColbertinator
Wouldn't it be nice if they did?
S has been fairly easy to get for a while now. X is difficult.
Sony has said they have 47.2 mln Playstation Plus subscribers. So Playstation Plus is more popular then PS5 as well. What is your point?
Everyone knows Playstation Plus is on PS4 and PS5.... And Everyone knows that GamePass is on PC, CBO, and XB Series. You would expect subscriptions that are across multiple hardware to be greater then any single piece of hardware. That is called common sense.
Do you reallly think MS cares about how many GamePass su...
LOL. If someone would actually click into the article....
They have 47.2 million active PlayStation Plus subscribers and 104 million active users.
Down 4 million active users from Q2 2020 and up 1.3 million PS Plus subscribers from Q2 2020.
They don't say anything about PSNow. PR at work!
Not a single ounce of gameplay and the environment look nice, but since it is shipping on PS4 it is a far cry from next gen.
Not a single game in there looked like it was nextgen at all. And there were some games there that might even be able to ship on PS2.
Wow that is really on topic. If you are a banana peel orbiting mars in a spaceship shaped like an isosceles triangle.
Probably the fact that Forza Horizon in every iteration has rated at least 85 on Metacritic or higher and Forza Horizon 4 was 92 on Metacritic.
Gee I wonder if this one will be any good given how awesome the trailers and demos have been. Honestly this is probably the ultimate no brainer if you like arcade racers and own an XB.
When Bungie left Microsoft they said they wanted to do something different and wanted to guide their own ship. When they went independent I had a ton of hope they would do something new and really unique.
Here they are today.... They built a game in the exact same genre and have gone to a MTX and nickel and diming model for their game. I think there are a lot of pluses in Destiny, but it really doesn't feel like they went radically new, and you would've expected ...
Why is that so stupid? What is a better name for it?
