Thank you for the completely useless rant.

You dislike XB but what are you afraid of that you have to go into an XB article and try to demean, insult, or whatever XB fans.

I don't know what you anti-XB fans are afraid of. Because the only types of people that go on these kinds of rants are insecure about something.

What I want to see....

Actual ship dates for announced games.

Everything is not about 4K graphics....

Cheaper games, the true center of indie development, free online, mods, better controls with keybiards and mice, etc....

PC offers more flexibility then any other platform. I will never give up PC gaming for just consoles.

I think they are doing OK, not great right now. They released a lot of games for console and PC this past year. Launch games for XB Series were light to non-existent, but the rest of the year saw a lot of new stuff. Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Bleeding Edge, Minecraft Dungeons, Flight Simulator, Wasteland 3, Grounded on Preview, and Gears Tactics. Not bad for 2020. Yes, none of the are GOTY contenders, but many are nominated for other awards.

2021 is still to be def...

Ya, answering a question that was asked of him is damage control. OK.

Sony has pretty much abandoned "ground" breaking MP. I am fine with that. MP is done well in mostly 3rd party games. I do agree they did a bunch of really good stuff as you list in PS3 era.

And we can't forget Socom!

Publishers became mega corps because they were forced to shutdown non-profitable game developers if they made a single game that did not make money because of places like Gamestop.

No matter how you slice it from a morale perspective Gamestop should not have been making money while developers THAT CREATE THE GAMES were forced to shutdown.

Every model has its pros and cons, but I prefer any model where the developer either gets more mone...

Just because they waited for MS to announce price doesn't mean they were yet to price their system.

If Sony would've announced PS5 at $550 and $450 they would've sold just as well as they are now. Only at outrageous price at $599 and higher would've slowed PS5 down.

A very well constructed post.

Nothing but the truth across the board there.

XB is my Primary console. It is not my only gaming platform, and if you acrtually look at my post history I would hardly call my posts with XB praise.

Do I defend them on inaccurate info absolutely. But I also do the same on PC, PS and Nintendo. It is just there are people here that I guess don't have any games or something because they spend their time jumping on every XB every opportunity they get.

Buying XB is a choice people m...

Yes, but the article is inaccurate about exclusives. Even by saying Xbox exclusive because some of the games are known to be coming to Steam.

I can guarantee there was no fear of Microsoft.

They outsold MS 3:1 over the generation. PS5 success was guaranteed long before they decided to even make the PS5. This was really an exercise to maintain their market share in the console space.

It was a really good choice of price. They make it only $50 cheaper and I think people are more apt to wait. But $100 made this a no brainer for digital only gamers.

You are too busy slagging Microsoft in every time you see any opportunity. Seriously. We get you don't like Microsoft. Move on. Everyone else has.

To me, this could be one of the best game awards ever. I expect a lot of big announcements.

No, at this point they have to prove they can make a decent new game.

When PS4 shipped I only think Resogun (a PSN Game) shipped on PS3 as well.

I don't remember a lot of first party support for PS3 after Resogun....

I may be wrong. Please correct me if I am.

I was comparing the old way gamers would cheaply game with Gamestop and retailers like them vs the new way. I should've been clearer.

If ownership or paying for exactly what you get is important to you then my post did not apply.

The reality is that there is absolutely no advantage to buying a game on day one any more.

Usually the games have bugs on day one that don't make them very fun to play. Also, they don't have all the content yet.

So, you pay $60-150 on day one to get a buggy mess and incomplete content. Wait a year, the definitive edition comes out usually from $30-60 and the game experience is complete.

To me, it seems like companies are enco...
