I have 26 TB of storage hooked up to my console. And 2,000+ games installed. I guess I am not normal from what I see in this thread. LOL.
Nobody should be buying Cold War yet it is the best selling CoD.
I have a huge problem when you cannot get the nextgen version of the game by buying the standard version. Even if you own a nextgen console. The only way to get the nextgen version is through deluxe and higher versions.
This is a complete rip-off and money grab. If you buy the standard version and you own a nextgen console you are getting a gimped product for your console.
I haven't pre-ordered a game since Red Dead Redemption II. And before that I hadn't pre-ordered a game since The Last of Us on PS3.
I really enjoyed Witcher 3, and I think I am going to pre-order this game simply out of respect for CDPK. They have resisting shipping an incomplete and buggy game and are now ready to come out. They could've released this two months ago and probably still would've been a GOTY contender. But they waited and let 2020 mostly p...
I was interested in this game for the first time in about 3 years for Call of Duty. That was until I found out there is no standard edition for next gen consoles. Having to buy the deluxe edition to get a next gen version is just plain wrong.
Exactly. all Capcom is doing here is duping gamers into giving them more money. They took a great game, add a minimum amount to it, and repackaged it to call it a special edition.
When all they had to do was spend a few weeks, upgrade to ray tracing, full 4K, and unlock the framerate for the new consoles. Then, release a free update. I gotta admit though, it is making them money, even though gamers are absolutely hoodwinked here.
Ya, there were a lot of games pushed back in schedule. The only games that seemed to be ready to go for this holiday were games that were either overdue for release already or games that weren't as ambitious. This does not mean there are no great games this holiday. There are a bunch of great games. Just not a ton of innovation.
Ya, kind of getting tired of the XB/PS articles where they are constantly comparing the consoles.
There is a huge problem in the console world with people being insecure about their chosen device. I have watched a bunch of videos comparing the versions of games on both consoles. The differences are almost impossible to see from a typical living room location 7-10' away from your TV. And any differences seens so far will be resolved thru firmware/OS/SDK updates.
LOL. 9/10.
So you keep redoing the same game until it is perfect?
You officially get the longest non-factual post award.

Maybe there should be a category for the best remade/remastered game. There are definitely enough now.
I am not trying to take anything away from these remakes. Demon's Souls, RE2, and FF VII are all great games. I just think that GOTY should be a new story not reimagining a story already told. To me, choosing a remake sets a dangerous precedent. GOTY should be about going forward not looking back.
Demon's Souls is definitely a great game. But, on principle I think any GOTY should be a new game. not a remade game.
New Ratchet & Clank, Gran Turismo, God of War, and Horizon are all on tap for next year. Plenty of candidates that are new games from Sony.
Yup, XB took a hard pass on games this past generation.
Sony had 5 games get the 22 nominations. Microsoft had 6 games get 8 nominations. Plus two games where MS now owns/buying the studios - Wasteland 3. and Doom Eternal.
Nothing wrong with how the future looks for either Sony or Microsoft.
As for GOTY.... This award show has only been around since 2014. Sony has only won once in that time. (I do predict that this year the will win for the second time though - The Last of Us Part II is my vote).
You could actually read the article. They did not include Doom Eternal or Wasteland 3 in the 8 nominations.
All nominations were from MS fully created under MS Publishing or MS studios that developed the games.
They excluded Doom Eternal and Wasteland 3 from the 8.
As for your comment back at @ausbo. You were just back tracking because you fired your comment without reading the article. Nice try to re-write your comment.
@GamerRN
If your game is not in quick resume it goes through all the title screens. While quick resume is super cool, and so is the pre-downloads, I really would like to see the only show title screen feature on XB as well.
@darthv72
XB has a ton of platform and store features that are way better then on PS.
I think the effort there is happening. This just takes time.
You don't go from a few first party studios, do a house cleaning, and then acquire a bunch more studios and out put content right away. MS has yet to see a game from Obsidian, inXile, Compulsion, Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, and Playground Games that was not in progress when they took them over. It will be interesting to see what these developers deliver under the full funding and first party ownership of M...
To be fair I think a lot of XB gamers would want the "skip title screens" feature that PS has for games now too. To me that is the killer feature on PS5's new firmware.
I don't like the guy either, but Borderlands is a really solid IP. Just because Randy's outfit made it, doesn't make it bad.
And who knows.... They are geting feedback, and maybe they will do an update in X months if they put this on XB to improve it. We have seen many games come out that rated low and were a mess at the start but improved a lot. Drive Club and Sea of Thieves are two really good examples.
Honesty is perception...
For example, Many people believe the USA election happened and that Biden won. Many people believe that the election was rigged and fraudulent. Both think they are being honest.
Honesty does not translate directly to facts always.
And how was the launch disastrous?
Seriously.
