How many retail games have been given away for PS4 users of PS+?
It is one of those polarizing games. You either love it or hate it... There won't be many in between.
It is definitely in the same genre as Telltale games, but they have done a lot more to make it deeper, more interactive, and it is more ground breaking.
I played it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it... If you don't like Japanese virtual novels and Japanese eccentric anime story telling I can see how it would not appeal to you.

It doesn't matter... If this is a great game, it will be a great game regardless of resolution... And as long as the framerate is a solid 30 FPS there is no reason to slag it in the graphics department.

Articles like this are a perfect example... For most of last gen, the 360 had resolution and framerate advantages over PS3... But, these types of articles were a lot less prevalent last gen.
This gen, almost every game that is released is compared (even though everyone already knows the result)... It is like Sony fanboys in the media are trying to kil...
Why else would someone write up a story about something that was announced over a month ago?
They announced this studio was closing right after they announced 18,000 were getting let go. Now they are staging their shutdown and that is news?

Maybe graphically, but every other feature in DriveClub could be done on the PS3.
I definitely agree that when X360 and PS3 hit year 8 they were tapped out graphically, and games beyond 8 sometimes pushed the limits too far on those consoles.

My post specifically signalled out retail games... Because (In my view) new exclusive IPs have been mostly non-existent from retail this gen.

To me for a re-master to be worth while...
1) Add achievements/trophies to games that existed before the 360 and PS3... These pure ports should be sold at a significantly reduced price though... Typically $5.99-$19.99
2) An exponential change of graphics and frame rate that makes the game play a lot smoother visually... These should be sold cheaper than the original with games being re-mastered. Within 3 years of original release shou...
From a new IP perspective this generation has been full of disappointment...

How can a re-mastered game be GOTY?
Don't get me wrong... I have the game and it is by far the best game I have played this year... But, I think GOTY should go to a game that is either a brand new IP or a brand new story on an existing IP... Not a technically superior version of an existing game.
When they re-master movies to Blu-ray HD, they are not reconsidered for movie of the year... Or when albums/cassettes were re-released with digital re-master...
