Gamers have learned next to nothing from these three games...
Gamers are still talking about what is coming beyond 2014 as if those games are the greatest ever... Bloodborne, The Order, Halo 5, Quantum Break, etc. etc...
Gamers have to learn that until you see and play a game yourself, the rest is marketing hype and BS. It is unfortunate that fanboys from all sides hype games that have had limited gameplay shown...
I have a few simple rules...
Actually no...
I agree the game is good and not deserving of scores below 8/10...
But, I think the reason we are seeing the low scores is punishment for two things...
1) Bungie left MS to get creative and go their own way... Destiny, is a solid game, but it certainly isn't a creative juggernaut. It is kind of a letdown for me... I am not backlashing them, I just play the game and think, "You left MS to create this?".
...
Although I agree reviewers should be objective, Activision, Bungie, and Sony created the over-hyping all by themselves...
Sony used its timed exclusive content to say this game is going to drive system sales the rest of the year. Activision and Bungie openly bragged about a half-billion dollar budget, etc...
They created the hype. Now that the game is out I think it is deserving of at least 8's out 10... But, Sony, Activision, and Bungie are paying th...
It is interesting...
Xbox One isn't a threat but why do people keep posting these articles and approving them then?
I thought this was a gaming site... I thought games rule over numbers and corporate marketing BS. But, every time I visit here it is the exact opposite...
I wish Sony fans would quit talking about future stuff that is unproven.
Look at Destiny, Move, Last Guardian, The Agent. And how DriveClub was hyped for 1080p/60fps, but has fallen to 1080p/30fps, lost day/night cycles, and doesn't have any customization under the hood.
Please, I just ask one thing... Talk about stuff that actually has a specific release date and not a vaporware release year or quarter. Because until then it does not exist.
Honestly, I hope he falls to gaming oblivion.
I like where they are taking Fable Legends and it is just as bold if not bolder than what Peter ever tried to accomplish...
As for Peter's vision... I think it is easy to have a vision. What is hard is having a vision that ties nicely with the technology. Games like Halo, Gears, Fallout, Mass Effect, Uncharted, TLOU, etc. are all games that really have had great vision and pushed tech to the max when they w...
Fanboys ruin gaming and I think they are adversely affecting console sales this generation.
Great games are great games no matter what console they run on.
@DigitalRaptor
You obviously no nothing about these games and just believing the Sony marketing BS.
First off FH2 is developed by two different developers. One for 360 and one for X1... The 360 version will not have a lot of features that are in X1 FH2. So they are two different games in the same setting.
DriveClub is 1080p and 30 FPS... So is FH2...
DriveClub is currently closed track... FH2 is open world (Open world is harder to ...
I'm not sure a game like Destiny deserves a 3/5...
It has solid graphics, solid gameplay mechanics, an average campaign, and a solid multi-player...
On the low end I give it 4/5... On the high end it should be a 4.5/5.
Anything below those ranges is just a site hating for hating sake...
DISCLAIMER: I am not a fan of Destiny, but ridiculous reviews irk me a lot...
@ThatOneGuyThere
Visuals are only one aspect of a game.
I will get all four racers this holiday and I already have Forza 5...
Anyone who thinks that 1 or more of these racers are not next gen are simply blind fanboys.
Forza Horizon 2 (September 30), DriveClub (October 8), The Crew (November 11), Project Cars (November 18) are all true NextGen racers.
And Forza 5 was the first real NextGen racer...
Haters can say what they want but if you have played the game you should know what I mean...
January is starting to look like it won't be playing left overs from the holiday releases...
Saints Row 4 and Dying Light...
Would've been nicer if they spread the releases a week apart though rather than on the 27th. Would've preferred releases on 13th and 20th...
This deal doesn't affect me at all...
Well, except my Window Phone 8 and Windows 8 Store will get the title guaranteed then...
(Yes, I am one of one people world wide that would see that benefit)...
Yep...
Forza Horizon 2, DriveClub, The Crew, and Project Cars...
All will be in my collection! And I will enjoy everything they have to offer.
DriveClub may (I stress may) be prettier than Forza Horizon 2, but these two games are in different leagues when it comes down to features and gameplay.
Does DriveClub have (on day 1):
200 cars?
Open World?
True day/night cycles?
Under the hood car tuning?
Drivatars?
I just gave you five great features of Forza Horizon 2.... Now Please name 5 features DriveClub has that Forza Horizon 2 lacks...
Its not like you can just wave a magic wand and up pops 3-4 AAA studios developing games that consumers want ASAP...
I like how people think that MS should "just start a new studio" and automatically assume it would be a AAA developer.
There is a news flash here...
First, it is the people that make the game studio not the creation of the studio itself. And those people are very hard to find and retain.
Second, a ne...
Day One purchase for me...
I loved Forza Horizon and they've done nothing but improve everything for the sequel...
150 hrs of my life is booked and ready to complete this game.
Agreed completely...
The parity clause guarantees me a few things...
1) When I see an interesting game on PS4 that is not on X1, I buy it on my PS4, because I know it won't come to X1...
2) It weeds out a tonne of shovelware. Developers that don't have enough resources to develop on more than one console via self publishing are probably not making great games.
3) It makes developers think about publishing on X1 first or forgo the reve...
The PC world is already sold on Oculus Rift. I wouldn't doubt that MS is prototyping Oculus Rift with X1...
Because Oculus Rift is marketed multi-platform and already has strong PC support Morpheus will have a difficult time going outside of PS...
The momentum for Oculus Rift is like Steam was for PC digital gaming... One day, people will just view it as the standard VR device.
Agreed. This generation is the "Recycle Generation". And to date, the new content does not have a single "must have" game on any console.
There is no excuse for this crap, when gamers are being asked to fork out $400-500 for new next gen console when all the console makers are providing us is a "Recycling" of existing games, and less than stellar new content.
