@SaffronCurse
I bought the game. And although it is decent driving game, these kinds of things are unacceptable. If it wasn't ready to ship, they should've delayed it again. Like bf4 this game is a broken mess but should not have been.
Companies must be accountable in shipping something that is not fully tested out and working properly.
If you buy a fire extinguisher is it ok if it doesn't spray foam when you have a little fire burning...
How do you know that this won't be dlc content in other territories for all consoles?
Maybe this is something unique in Japan only to try and get some sales...
We will see.... forza horizon 2 has 200 cars at launch, a massive map, 672 races in 168 championship events, XP collectibles, fast travel collectibles, 5 showcase races, 10 barn collectibles, road trips, 30 speed traps/zones, and 25 driving perks, and open world online.
Literally hundreds of hours of gaming. If the crew compares it will be surprising.
Lol. People went and slagged MS for not supporting the 360 before this gen started. Now, MS is supporting the 360 and they are being slagged.
There is nothing wrong with cross gen games like forza horizon 2. They are the same game in name and map setting only. The race events are very different, the drivatars only exist on x1, the graphical detail in each game is completely different, even the controller gameplay is very different between the games. This is definitely not...
I fully expect this to score in the mid 70's to low 80's... That's typical for a quality open world, fun-oriented, over the top game...
Crackdown, Saints Row, etc...
Really it is not stupid...
Translated to 360 storage as a baseline.... There are four Halo games in the collection. Halo Anniversary was about 4 GB for just the campaign. Halo 2 remastered is probably the same. Add all of the original multi-player maps from both games redone is and you are looking at another 4 GB of content probably. Add Halo 3 which shipped on at 6 GB. And Halo 4 had a 6 GB campaign plus an MP disc of probably 4 additional GB MP maps...
I actually like external vs internal.
To me there are no single drives big enough for this gen. Even if you have a 4TB drive, after 3 years this gen avid gamers will be managing the drive space.
What I am doing is buying the USB powered 2 TB WD pocket drives. When they fill I will buy another and start dividing drives by game genres. Did that last gen on my 360. I have 14 x 320 GB drives full of games classified by action/adventure (5 drives), rpg/strateg...
Given that they delayed the game a year, they should've got the servers right. They knew it would be popular as the first exclusive racing game on PS4.
They could've delayed the game another 1.5 months and it still would've been out in time for the holiday rush and it would've been a better result.
Instead, they rushed it out, and left consumers with a bad taste in their mouth.
I don't mind delays, but if you do delay, ...
It is hilarious given the fact that Destiny was pretty much exclusively advertised as a PS4 game.
In fact, I think MS should be happy with the September results...
Sure they did the free game thing, but they were up against the number one selling game of the year exclusively advertised and pushed on the PS4 which has outsold X1 by a wide margin in the US every month.
@timotim...
As games become more complex this generation I predict less and less 1080p games. More 900p and 720p as the environments become more detailed and more interactive.
@u got owned...
Agreed 60 fps is a rarity.
@_FantasmA...
I have PS4, XB1, and Wii U...
There are no issues with games to play on X1... To me, there are issues on the PS4. Not, that there isn't a lot of games for PS4... But, they are often ...
double-post... sorry...
So what is Forza Motorsports 5, Forza Horizon 2, Crimson Dragon, Powerstar Golf, Max the Curse of Brotherhood, Project Spark, Ori and the Blind Forest, Sunset Overdrive, Lococycle, D4, Dance Central Spotlight, Kinect Sports Rivals, Disney Fantasia, Killer Instinct, and Zoo Tycoon?
If you don't know what you are talking about maybe you should shut up...
Double the install base...
It had better outsell X1 on every multiplatform game...
This is nothing to do with Sony being comfortable. This is more about the choices that Sony and MS have made.
MS chose to go with virtualized operating systems and allocate hardware resources to those operating systems so that they could continue making the console OS better and better.
Sony chose to go with one OS and allocate all the hardware resources to it. This makes it almost impossible for them to do snap, and many of the things MS is doing with snap...
Middle of December is a weird time to ship a game in North America, but this one should do well!
@guyman.
Can a gamer not be excited about some games that other people find interesting?
I also called Destiny boring prior to release and said that DriveClub lack depth... Both turned out true to most gamers.
I'm not saying it isn't quality, and I am not saying other people won't like it. But, from what I saw, I just didn't see it as interesting to me.
@LogicalReason.
Bloodbourne, Scalebound, Smash Brothers...
Really?
No Man's sky looks boring.
The double-tap to snap is awesome, the friends leaderboard is awesome, the friends snap app is awesome, mkv support is awesome...
Everything is awesome!
People really have to give their head a shake around here. The whole 1080p and 60 fps conversation is on the ridiculous side...
I love how people call out "biggest hit", "GOTY", etc. before the game gets a review.
Especially, since it appeared at E3, Gamescom, TGS, etc. and only won a few of the awards it was eligible for.
I have absolutely no doubt Bloodbourne will be a great game. But, calling it 2015's biggest hit before the entire 2015 lineup of games has been revealed, and calling it 2015's biggest hit when it is not raging out of every game show with...
