@feraldrgn
Media Molecule was independent... They were acquired by Sony in 2010. Sony funded their games but they were independent.
Before that they were an independent 3rd party studio.

MS buys a developer like Mojang and it is called "desperation"...
Sony buys a developer like Media Molecule and it is a brilliant move...
I now know any time you comment on MS it is pure stupidity...
Yeah, MS would buy Mojang for $2 bln for 40 devts and not include the IP that the company is known for...
You may think MS is absolutely dumb, but no one would be that dumb.
I have to agree with @oSHINSAo...
People that are here all the time rather than gaming are showing that they really don't have any games to play...
I visit here and comment once a day for 15 min. Then, I go back to my gaming setup and play games...
Don't have toime to waste my life on this site... Unlike some gamers.
LOL...
Sony works on PS Now, and it is an innovation...
MS works on streaming games through a browser and it is plan b...
It would be awesome to have a "360" app on X1... Go in and play your 360 games... Snap your friends feed and you have 360 running as a feature on X1!
More like elimination of the console...
I haven't seen the service and I have many doubts about if it works fully...
But, if MS can provide Xbox games through any browser on any platform that would be huge for Xbox game sales.
Consoles don't make MS money... The sales of XBL subscriptions, games, and other entertainment does.
Building is a time-consuming task. Buying is much quicker and less risky.
You cannot just "build" new AAA studios with money. You need to acquire very talented resources from an industry where those very talented resources are hard to find.
And not only does this give MS a new first party studio... But, it also probably takes a hugely popular game out of the hands of competitors' platforms and improves on the perception that XB is for shooter...
I doubt it will be a commercial failure. Tomb Raider games sold well on 360...
What is good, is TR has risen in notoriety again. Anniversary, Legend, and Underworld were lame compared with Uncharted, The TR reboot revived TR from the death experience. This franchise deserves to continue as long as the keep the quality up.
I couldn't are less. I have all three nextgen consoles and so far and X1 gets most of my time, Wii U gets the second most of my time, and PS4 gets the least of my time.
I know others have different preferences, but all I care about is MS keeps doing what they are doing...
The hardware is does not have the technical specs of the PS4 but no two consoles have had the same specifications ever. One console will always have better specs than another.
And this is a long haul for the consoles. Specs will mean nothing soon (as PCs are already playing 4k games within the next two years 4k will be standard on PC) and almost mean nothing now as most X1 games are running at the same resolution and framerate as the same PS4 games... Ex. Diablo III, Dest...
I don't look at any user scores on Metacritic. I use Metacritic only if I am on the edge of buying a game or not. It is just one of many inputs into the decision.
TLOU is an excellent game period.
Not on PSN...
@notis_lumia
I have ps4,x1, and wii u... so I will play uncharted 4, TLOU 2, Halos, Forzas, Sunset Overdrive, GTs, Marios, Zeldas, Bayonetta 2, Bloodforge, etc.
Best of all worlds.
June 2nd is a long way away from now. Any further slippage and it will be a holiday game next year.
Release dates > 6 months out are estimates. for a game to be ready it has to be decently playable 6 months before release, and we have yet to see that with this game.
I don't think anyone has said that Tomb Raider is coming to the PS4 definitively.
(Not that it isn't... But, fanboys on both sides are reading what they want to hear)...
Fanboys on the XB heard Spencer say, "It is a lot like the DR3 deal"... Which to XB fans means PC and XB but no PS4.
Fanboys on the PS4 side heard Spencer say, "The deal has a time limit"... Which to them means PS4 version coming later.
Depends whether you include retail, published downloadables, and indies. Also, if you include only console exclusives and timed exclusives.
Frankly, people can make arguments until their blue in the face, but it really comes down to what you can and cannot play on the one or many hardware platforms you own.

Oculus Rift has been made easily available for over a year now. I got mine last summer and it wasn't hard find a way to purchase it.
My assessment... It is very nice and immersive. But 90% of people game with other stuff happening in real life around them that they have to pay attention to. As with every other attempt, it will be a fad that is only applied in niche scenarios. Rarely can a gamer ignore everything around them and focus solely on gaming without parents,...
