The concern I have is that reviews are not being released early for this game. I agree it has the best graphics of any racer to date, but that is all that has been really showcased about this game to date. They focus on pretty not the game itself.

I have over 100 cars in the game and have completed the Horizon finale...
I have yet to see popin or stutter. I would check the speed of your network connection performance.
This is BS. If you delay a game a year you should be able to get it right. All this says to me is that DriveClub was a half baked idea last year and Sony had no intention of shipping this game last year.
You would think they could put decent shadowing in after a full year delay...
Go play the game and you will see it is perfectly fine. I don't care about the framerate test, because I have put 8 hrs into the game and it never stutters at all. That is all I care about...
No stutter = a very acceptable gameplay experience.
So what? TLOU was a last gen game running at 720p and 30 fps (most of the time)...
MS is shipping the Halo 3 and 4 last gen games at 1080p, and 60 FPS as part of MCC.

Frame rate is important. But frame rates 30 FPS and higher are all that are required. Sure higher frame rates will yield what feels like a smoother experience.
But games where frame rates dip to sub-20 levels are unacceptable this generation as gamers will see noticeable pauses and stutter at that rate which can dramatically affect gameplay.
I have played the game and it is awesome graphically and there are no frame rate issues on X1...

I'm not going to say this kind of stuff can't happen, but if any company in the console space was caught doing that they would be run into bankruptcy by every gamer on the planet. And frankly, I don't see any of the console vendors desperate enough to do such a thing.

I game a lot more on Live, but to say it hasn't been down is completely wrong.
What I do find is that:
- Live is down less often
- Less services are typically affected when Live does have problems
- MS seems to bring it back quicker
I hope this game turns out well. I will definitely get it day one. The previews have said good things overall...
I am expecting 7.5-9 reviews on this game based on reading the previews and how games with similarities to this do... (Open world, over the top, shooters)

If this is a Forza killer then why aren't the reviews out for it? Forza Horizon reviews started appearing a full week before launch showing that they were confident they had built a game that would score well with reviewers.
Here we are 5 days before launch and there are still no reviews of DriveClub. What is Sony trying to hide?

Just because there is a high ratio competitively doesn't mean it is bad... The big indicator is how it does longer term. Are the numbers going up or dropping after 6 months in the market?

I have FH2 and absolutely love the game!
When comparing what I have seen from DriveClub with my actual FH2 experience I am willing to concede the visuals in DriveClub will be better...
But, when it comes to gameplay, depth of game, and quality of the game itself, DriveClub will fail compared to FH2.
I played it today and then played some Horizon 1... There is no comparison and there is no doubt it is next gen.
When the planes fly over the whole environment shakes with feedback on the triggers and rumble, the vistas are absolutely stunning, the handling of the cars feels way different and more natural, and the off-roading rocks.
The only graphical complaint I have is in the people animation. But, it is a racing game not people adventure game.
I don't see why they would make GT open world... It is a realistic sim based on real tracks...
DriveClub is their arcade sim. GT is for real world circuits. I doubt you could "laser scan" 100's of miles of open world to make it truly realistic and fit that on anything less than 10 blu-rays...
What they should've done is ship DriveClub as an open world arcade sim...
Visually, DriveClub will be the best game...
Content will go to The Crew probably...
Realistic driving will go to Project Cars...
All around driving game this year is Forza Horizon 2...

What's wrong with saying what you think about a game? I believe DriveClub had no intention of shipping on day one. You don't get three weeks before a ship date then delay a game a year without knowing it was not ready to ship. I am a manager for software development. I would get my ass fired if I came to a client three weeks before the ship date and said the software would take another year.
