To me, there is nothing wrong.

Forza are games that are 100's of hours of enjoyment. Being able to play them on my gaming laptop would save me lugging around a XB1 when I travel and allow me to play them more.

Gaming with XB is giving me choice of platform which I think is good. IT may reduce sales of XB1, but it will increase the sales of games which will encourage MS to spend more on them to make them even better.

People just need to let this go.

I have a Gigabyte P37x gaming laptop, Surface Pro 3 i7, Lumia 950 XL, iPod, and iPad Mini. I use each for different things.

But the reason I own Xbox Ones is:

1) Effort - The effort to set them up is nothing. Unwrap and go
2) Cost - Although I can build PCs as cheap as X1, buying X1 takes no time, and it is warrantied fully as they built it
3) Windows 10 - Since X1 and PC run Windows 10 we are now seeing games cross buy between them like Quan...

I use Microsoft Windows at work and have many Windows devices so why would I buy a PlayStation when Microsoft has started cross buy with Quantum Break on XB/Windows and I can now play Quantum Break on all my Windows/XB devices?

I have an achievement Gamerscore of over 200,000 so why would I switch to PlayStation to play Uncharted? (I really love the game, but I will not buy a device just to play it)

Most of my friends own Xbox Ones so why would I play on Play...

I don't see how that makes people walk away from XB. They are just broadening the definition of what you are buying. By providing you with Quantum Break on XB and PC together as a cross buy they are giving you more ways to play a game you may like. That is absolutely fine with me.

Argueably, XB is a service that I buy. Meaning that the reason I like XB is for games, achievements, apps, social features, and entertainment features. None of that needs to be tied to a sp...

First, I have had many bad experiences with Sony's electronics. While they are usually state-of-the-art cool, they are not at all durable over time. (I am not saying MS is any better, but in my experiences as a consumer MS dealt with my issues much better).

Second, I travel a lot and use a lot of different devices all the time. Vendors who support all my different devices best get my dollars.

Third, it is blackmail. And that is not a stretch. The leg...

That is up to Sony entirely. I had several bad consumer experiences with Sony electronics (Alarm clock, PlayStation, Vaio, and Sony big screen TV) related to warranty service.

I played Uncharted 1-3 and loved them. Same with the God of War games, Killzone, and many other Sony exclusive games.

If I could buy Sony exclusives on PC I would, but if I can't I won't. It will be a cold day in hell before I buy another Sony electronic no matter what it i...

As a gamer I want every gamer to be able to experience the great games that I experience.

That is good for gamers and good for the gaming community.

Please tell me why that is bad? Are you one of those people that has to have something that someone else doesn't have so you can brag about it? Was your device purchase driven by black mailing from a vendor saying you can't experience the game anywhere else?

3789d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I would buy all the big sony games if they were on another platform.

I will not be black mailed into buying their console because they have great games.

I buy my consoles based on the console, its OS/firmware, and fit into my home environment. Not because they have a bunch of games I can't play anywhere else.

As a gamer on many platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, and XB) I don't look at exclusives.

I will not be black mailed into buying a device because of the games they have and I cannot play on another platform. I am only concerned about the games publishers that want to sell me.

Sony is obviously not interested in selling me Uncharted and most of their exclusives because they never ship first party exclusives on any platform other than PlayStation. Unfortun...

So, what specifically is bad about X1?

900p games vs 1080p?
Feature for feature comparison with the competition?
Media features?
The Operating System?
Backwards Compatibility?
EA Access?
Halo? Forza Motorsports? Forza Horizon? Gears? Sunset Overdrive?
Shipping great games on PC and Xbox One?

3789d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Agreed. I want all of my games to be available on all the devices I own.

All exclusives are is black mail try to force you to own a specific device.

Well, it isn't working. Sony misses revenues from me because they reuse to ship games like Uncharted on PC. It is a lose-lose. They lose my dollars, I lose the experience of a very good game because I prefer the X1 and PC experience.

That is a silly comment. Why would someone buy PS4 at $300-400 when they can wait until the exclusive they want comes out in 9 months and probably buy it for $200-300?

The "wait, it is coming" comment is silly because in tech and gaming 9 months is an eternity. That is about 150 game releases and in 9 months graphics and computing power can be 1.5 times better than it was. Not to mention about 10-15% of a console generation passing (assuming replacements in 7 ye...

I didn't say I wouldn't buy a Destiny 2...

But, I definitely won't buy it on day one. Will wait for reviews and see the game in action myself, then decide.

I bought Destiny on Day One based on Bungie's track record with Halo. They have to earn my trust next time.

@kenwonobi
I am attracted to consoles for many reasons...

1) They are almost brainless to config and use
2) The apps on the consoles make media easy
3) They are cheaper then PCs
4) The gaming features are more integrated then on PC.

To add:

Kojima's new game is going to PC as well and a large portion of the "indie innovation" on PS4 are only console exclusives.

@Castillo
When did I say that?

A console should distinguish itself by the features and functionality it has.

Games are content, and gamers should be able to play their content on their device of choice.

And how is this news?

PS4 has out sold XB1 95% of the months since launch.
