LOL.
Why are gamers writing about the profits of a company "schooling" another company?
Shouldn't they write about how great the games are and how successful the games are?
This says everything about the state of gaming today. Poor.
I remember when gamers used to talk about great games, what made great games great, and what they would like to see in their next favourite game. Not company profits.
Who Gives A Damn About No Man’s Sky “Not-Mind-Blowing” Graphics?
Every PS4 gamer who has been ranting about the difference between 1080p and 60 FPS being required this generation.
I really wonder why gamers let Activision get away with this kind of BS.
Last year Tony Hawk shipped in crap condition.
This year TMNT was already crap.
And now Marvel Ultimate Alliance ships incomplete.
So you didn't read the article. MS specifically said, "Gaming revenue declined 9% (down 8% CC) driven by lower Xbox console volume and lower console pricing"
There was no mention of 360. And the why is honestly explained.
At earliest Crackdown will be late 2017.
Why people keep talking about it right now is beyond me.
They did a cool demo last year. They are working on how they will turn that demo into reality and it is taking longer then expected. Many AAA games get delayed when they try new things that have not been done for that scale before.
What I did not see on that list is Forza Horizon 3. To me, that is one of the biggest games in coming. F...
That is a huge insult to Kojima.
Molyneux always over promised and under delivered after many delays.
Kojima promises and delivers albeit slowly and after many delays.
Last time I checked they are exclusive to the Windows (the OS) and Xbox Live (the gaming) platform. There are multiple devices for those platforms.
So are you talking about multiple OS platforms, gaming platforms, or multiple devices as exclusive?
Think of how many new and original games could've been made had resources been directed from re-masters to original new games.
The problem this generation is that there was huge demand for a new console because 360 and PS3 had been at their peak from a technical perspective for about 2-3 years. So, the market was needing new consoles that had additional capability. You look at a game like TLOU on PS3. A truly awesome game, but about a year and a half later it released on PS4 showing how truly unqualified the previous generation PS3 was to deal with it.
Now the current consoles don’t have the te...
I said, exclusives were bad long before the changes in MS strategy.
So, as a gamer if you were to only own a PS4 you just simply think all MS and Nintendo exclusives are crap? And you would never want to play them? That is a ridiculous way of thinking.
Also, as a gamer, you prefer to buy a PC, PS4, Wii U, and XB1 to get access to all possible games you would want to play? Again, that is simply ridiculous.
If I buy a PS4. I may still...
Exclusives are good for fanboys to brag about how many games they can play that other gamers cannot play.
But, exclusives are not good for gamers and gaming. It is better to be able to choose what device you want to buy, then preferably be able to play any game on that device. Whether it be Uncharted, StarCraft, World of Warcraft, Halo, Gears of War, Zelda, Mario games, God of War, Spiderman, Crackdown, etc.
Exclusives encourage fanboyism and encourag...
And not a single ounce of gameplay to see whether the game will be any good.
I'll take a great game with a great story, gameplay, and great pacing over resolution every time!
The issue I have with ALL vendor conferences is that they are showing games that will not ship in the next year to the next E3.
ALL of the vendors can show whatever they want with no accountability for a ship date. In past E3's I watched every detail and often was excited about everything. This year I didn't even bother watching the live streams because in my heart I know this is at least 75% vaporware.
The best example this year is Kojima's...
I don't know why everyone keeps saying this.
It is not the beginning of the end for console gaming.
If it is the beginning of the end, it is only because consoles never had value to begin with. They were artificially sold through the concept of exclusivity rather then on their merits as devices people desire.
But, I for one will continue to buy consoles. Consoles have several advantages over PCs when hooking up to TVs. They are:
...
You obviously no nothing about software development.
Quite often E3 is the latest and greatest builds of these games and there are developers working night and day to be ready for E3. A short cut developers use is to only bring a build on the lead development platform to events for showing. This speaks absolutely nothing to how good or bad a build on the Xbox One will be. This is all about developers getting a good and complete build ready for a big marketing event (prob...
Because Hideo Kojima has always been a PS fan and they gave him both the money and time he wanted for a new game.
As for the graphic engine comment he made that they haven't yet finalized it... To me, that means this game is at least 4-6 years away assuming it will be a AAA endeavour. Hideo games took many years to create when he already had a team and knew their tech. We are talking about a forming team and they haven't yet finalized their tech.
I think he does make some good points.
At the same time over the past few years many people have applauded Sony's move to have a few cross play games with PC and PlayStation. Now that MS is doing it, and doing it much committed and deeper, all of sudden it is a bad thing.
As for the console itself, I don't think that Cliffy said anything about hating the new console. He talk more about the motivations MS probably had in building, how MS are br...
Yup. Because Facebook is a reputable source to declare winners and losers. Facebook talks about Donald Trump all the time. Does that mean he has won the presidency?
Why would you need to?
Xbox One allows you to connect external HDDs and store marketplace content on them.
I have bought two USB powered 4TB HDDs and hooked them up.
