Had some of the most annoyingly long boss fights might I add. Bayonetta is in my top five this year, but it's not for boss fights. It's because of the non-stop action. Never before have I been so pumped playing a game. But I do feel the boss fight with Luca at the end across the sky scrappers has got to be one of the most beautifully designed level/scene I've ever seen. That deserves special mention.
Bayonetta also deserves special mention for the terrible mini-ga...
I don't get it either. I see numerous sites picking Red Dead Redemption or giving a ridiculous amount of praise for something like Enslaved, which isn't entirely deserved. It boggles my mind. I think it's because GotY was expected to be between Mass Effect 2 and God of War III, but journalists decided to take the "high road" by voting for more obscure or surprising candidates.
I've played a lot of games this year, and not one has surpassed the experi...
If you knew what you were doing, the Hercules fight was pretty epic too; and, of course, while not a boss battle per se, chasing down Helios was awesome.
Same. I think Game of the Year should be between God of War III, Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2, and Bayonetta personally. I'm playing RDR now, and, while a great game, I'm not seeing why so many picked that over any of the four I mentioned above. Hopefully it gets better. Undead Nightmare looks insanely awesome.
Also, I'm not seeing why everyone says Mass Effect 2 had the best soundtrack. It should be either Heavy Rain, God of War III, or Alan Wake. Nothing else was n...
Am I the only one who thought Enslaved's story wasn't that great? I didn't care for Monkey much at all. Yeah, I cared for Trip, but that's about it. Besides, the romance was ridiculously obvious. The game had interesting bits, especially the last couple of levels. I don't know. It was a really good game, but in no way was as good or better than Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2, Heavy Rain, or God of War III in terms of storytelling or direction. I would have given storyt...
Hmmm... Red Dead Redemption had an interesting style as well, but I prefer games like Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, Mass Effect, and Persona 3 still. I don't know. That might be just me though. : \
But it's okay for gay people to see a guy and a girl get it on. Why would we want to see a woman's bush or boobs? : \
I didn't know love was exclusive between a man and woman. What a sad world this has become that gay people can't express their love to the men/women they love.
Sadly, it's not only Guitar Hero, Rock Band 3 underperformed as well. : ( I trust Harmonix, though. I'm sure they'll create something equally daring once again.
The Murray knows no fear!
The guy doesn't dabble in the PS3 system settings. You can optimize the image quality to display just like the 360's version (read: more vivid). The black levels on my PS3 far exceed that of my 360, even with the settings turned on. This comparisons a joke. It makes the 360 out to be the king, when in fact the 360 version has nothing on this one, except maybe performance-wise (screen tearing is a nightmare).
As mentioned earlier, I feel sorry for gamers who can't ...
Exactly. Am I a fanboy for caring how the PS3 version holds up? I already have the 360 version (the Collector's edition I might add), but I don't plan on getting Live, so I will be missing out on a lot of DLC unless I pick up this version, but I'm only going to do it if the performance holds up.
I feel sorry for the people who don't know how to change the settings on their system or TV. There's a simple fix for this, you know. The performance on the other hand... we'll just leave it at that. I hate screen tearing. The original Mass Effect was notorious for it, sadly.
Critics can be fairly ignorant. I hold their opinions with a grain of salt 'til I see a general consensus. Users are by far more important. Besides, let's face it, we don't have much in common with the critics of today. They view quality differently than we do. I focus on experience. They focus on replay value and... shooters. Am I missing anything?
I'm guessing the logo is the one shown in the featured pic. Regardless, article is fail for linking to the homepage, which doesn't even mention inFamous 2. You'd think whoever approved this would have noticed as much before signing away.
As long as division doesn't apply to world. 360 is by far the best selling console in the US at this time. That doesn't mean the world. You have to take ALL countries into account when you're computing total sales. I'm sure Sony is concerned about their sales in North America, just as Microsoft is concerned about their sales everywhere else, except maybe the UK.
And don't forget, the Wii used to be the leader in North American sales. The 360 received a gia...
A little game called LittleBigPlanet comes to mind, but, whatever, we'll just sweep that under the rug. ; )
Wow, I did not think Enslaved was THAT great. I liked it sure, but I thought there were dozens better. It had way too many issues, and the script drew on sexuality/romance far too much -- almost to the point where it killed the characters.
No, the perfect Drake is Nolan North. I mean, come on, he actually... you know, plays Nathan Drake in the video games. Why not let him play Drake in the movie too?
You'd think this would be a no-brainer.
It already has. I'm far more excited for Bulletstorm than Gears 3. I don't care for the beta.
Very nice, but my personal favorite is this one:
