I'm like him, I don't like Multiplayer games.
But it is not because "hurr u dun haz pr0 zkillz xd", but rather because I find it repetitive, boring, and uninteresting.
I dislike Multiplayer in games. In fact, the only games where I actually play multiplayer are Fighters and Racing Games. Some of my best gaming memories are having SplitScreen fun with my sis and cousins, yes, but of my best gaming memories also belong to my favorite role-play...
Some games simply DARE to SHOVE DOWN YOUR THROAT the GAME'S PLOT. AND IT'S BAD MOST OF THE TIME.
At least some Japanese games just use the plot as an excuse to show off awesome stuff. Western developers? WRRHAGH I SO MAD I'M ALWAYS SERIOUS HRRRAAAGH.
You need some comedy to spice things up, people!
Hell, mainstream Western games are horribly, horribly written. Japanese games? They don't even bother with the plot sometimes, and...
Tolerance to play the same 5-10 maps over and over and over with slight variations on the insults kids use against you isn't getting "more bang for your buck".
Hell, did you think the first Dead Space needed multiplayer? Of course not.
In my opinion, Bayonetta way better than God of War.
WAAAAY better.
I have NOT forgotten 'bout it!
In fact, it's a nominate to Game of the Year in my book.
An incredible game, indeed.
That is mainly because there's always a big-name company behind said games.
And even then, some Japanese Developers deliver some crazy, crazy games you don't see everywhere.
I mean, just look at Platinum Games.
They're just one of the bunch who try something DIFFERENT.
And I, personally, see Western gaming on the same train.
Most of our beloved Western developers don't bother to try anything n...
It's mainly big-name publishers trying to reach a worldwide audience with their westernizations and such the ones doing it wrong.
Japanese developers and some Japanese publishers, as well as self-publishers aren't in trouble.
In fact, most of them are doing quite well. I mean, their games are actually selling more over there, and some of them even get the chance to appear in our North American retailers.
The JAPANESE game industry its...
Just like with the Gundemonium Collection, I'm going to pick this up ASAP!
If anything, I'm glad Rockin' Android and SOE are bringing Doujin titles to PSN, and pretty cheap, too.
"Kids don't like SP-Only games, let's tackle a MP on just as EA said!"
...Seriously? That's just plain sad.
I don't even touch the Multiplayer in most games- I'm more of a Single Player guy. It's sad to see things like this happening.
@Akagi
I wouldn't say Bayonetta is overrated. At all. Played the PS3 version, hell, it was fun and enjoyable.
Also, wich other game HAS YOU SURFING WHILE KILLING A BOSS, RIDING A ROCKET AS IT WAS AN OLD-SCHOOL SHOOTER, OR PUNCHING GOD SO HARD YOU SEND HIM/HER/IT TO THE GODDAMN SUN?
None. At all. It's probably of the most awesome games we've had in a LONG, LONG while.
@jeseth
3DDGH isn't underr...
Bayonetta and Vanquish aren't underrated- just overlooked, sadly.
With NieR and Resonance of Fate both I can agree- except NieR would probably top the list thanks to its marvelous, MARVELOUS plot and characters.
Darksiders is pretty good, but not GREAT, and so is Mafia II, alongside Alpha Protocol.
It really saddens me that such great games get overlooked while pieces of crap sell like hotcakes and such.
But hell, it'...
It's like the author didn't got the game at all.
Hey, bro. IT'S 'SPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT. The graphics ARE ACTUALLY GREAT, sure, not technically, but my god, you're like IGN on their Megaman 9 review. "No Anti-Aliasing, no 1080p, mainly 2.5D spritework with bland enviorments. Hurr durr 4/10"
The music is supposed to be like that, too.
Jesus christ, EVERYTHING IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT, bro.
What...
@wissam
I played the SP for Killzone 2. It was completly and absolutely awful. Overhyped, shitty, hell, not even pretty- I mean, it was like of the worst first person shooters I've played.
And it's funny that everyone yells "omg cod worshippa lol" because I simply dislike a game and think it's completly awful, and done wrong.
No, I do not like Call of Duty. Hell, I hate it completly, but Killzone ain't any better. <...
My feelings exactly.
I must admit, I'm actually tempted to get Kinect when it comes down to these games.
Hell, I hate Motion Controllers, but I 'unno...I wonder how they'll turn out.
Bad controllers =/= Skill.
I thought we all knew this, didn't we?
Pffhahah.
That's hilarious!
So much for "Oh no we won't invide your privacy! We promise desu!"
@FordGTGuy
Well well, the dude says he doesn't knows how to delete the picture.
Ah well, still, hilarious as hell.
@visualb
It's three people now!
...People really use Home?
From beggining to end, Drakengard was...ugh, kinda hard to explain.
In the US version, though, Square Enix censored some stuff such as: Certain character being a pedophile, incest, religious undertones (such as Angelus being named "Angel" on the JP version), etcetera (Those two were the most important, since they were a part of the character development, but ah, whatever) as well as the overall localization quality not being too great and sometimes not making sense ...
Basically, on this:
"Online gaming has proven to be the best possible way to immortalize a game. For instance, if there are servers up for a four or five year-old game, and they're still full of gamers, this to me spells success for the players, the developers, and publishers."
Actually, alot of Single-Player games are replayed even today. I'm quite sure those Single-Player games will be replayed even more, while, sooner or later, those onli...
