The biggest issue with Hawken is that, from what I've seen and heard, the game barely feels like you're actually controlling a giant robot, and instead feels like Killzone 3 with a cockpit skin.

But it didn't ditch the turn-based elements. Watch the video, even the developers mention it's turn-based. It won't play like your typical RTS, and it is interesting to someone who rarely plays RTS games, because it isn't an RTS.

This is looking as Valkyria Chronicles meets X-Com, and I couldn't be more excited about it.

That's pretty much what was thought about it back then, when all the buzz was on silly character designs and turn-based combat.

I'd say the game was ahead of its time, though. A customizable, mute main character, a vague, yet interesting storyline (as well as world), a co-op focus with real time combat, as well as great visual design and atmosphere (that, honestly, holds up to this day incredibly well), a memorable, unique soundtrack and the fact the game was pretty o...

It's funny because that's a .png file.

What he was getting at is that there is no need for compression on a file that's more than anything about text, to the point a .jpeg/.jpg will not only look worse, but bloat the file size of the image as well.

Tl;Dr: That's a .png file and the only people that take .jpg pictures of text are retarded.

There's a slight difference between "screw you, buy the new games" and "screw you, buy your old games AGAIN".

However, there's a fallacy in your argument: both Microsoft's Xbox and Nintendo's Wii could play (most) older games without issue, something the PS3 was uncapable of doing (at least until your almighty God Sony gave you the option to buy those old games you own...again. Much like the Vita), and that analogy doesn't exactly apply...

If it was an exchange of quantity for quality, then yes, they should. I'll take ten hours of fun over thirty of tedium.

You know not only Microsoft's in the patch thing, right? Sony's doing the same thing, too.

The pass is just free DLC, though. Stupidly named by a division of EA that just SEEMS to love bad press.

You know you can just press "Cancel" at the login screen, right? That's not DRM, that's just to attach those silly extra items for playing the demo with your account.

It's odd that they'd say this, especially since in a few other interviews before they mentioned certain quests and areas were inspired by their own D&D sessions.

Legend of Mana, Crystal Chronicles, SaGa, Crystalis, Pokemon, and many more JRPGs kindly say hi in disgust to your illogical generalization.

"HyperDimension Neptunia is only for otakus and for otakus only"

Or rather, for people with terrible taste.

...Who am I kidding, "otaku" is a synonym for that.

There, it's on Steam. With TF2 hats and everything. Now you've got no excuse.

Edit: By the way, I had to put a space in the middle of the link because, otherwise, it wouldn't let me post.

Video game journalists, the paid writers and editors that don't know the difference between "peek" and "peak".

It's not the developers that make them a focus point- it's your own mind and desires, as well as perversion, that does.

Actually...it wasn't. Had you played both, Dark Soul's beginning levels, such as The Depths or Blighttown, are already much harder than anything in Demon's. From curses to most boss fights, they require sheer skill, whereas in Demon's Souls you could beat almost everything by blocking with your shield and having some foreshadowing. Even if you go full babby easy modo with the Drake Sword/Lightning Spear, you're bound to have some trouble with ghosts and basilisks and giant...

Not really, I mean, I'd imagine it can emulate about everything Android emulators allow it to so far. And it saves you the trouble of buying a Classic Controller Pro and plugging it in- so that's obviously a plus. Kind of.

Playing alone heavily defeats the purpose of a game being an MMO, though, doesn't it?

@PshycoNinja

Because there is regionally locked content you can access only by having a side account. Most recent example being the Dark Souls themes.

And besides, why shouldn't we have the option? Silly financial interests of corporations aside.
